Such thing as too many?

Is there such thing as too many supplements if they are all dosed individually within reasonable ranges? I've seen guys list their daily supp intake and it makes me wonder if there's a danger to the body/mind other than having to swallow 40-50 pills for example.

I’m with you on this. I take A LOT of pills 💊. They all are legit and vetted individually but do the sum of the parts add up to be bad? But what do I know? My screen name has the word “hammer” in it

I take a ton of **** also , I take most everything individually cause I feel most stuff with lots of ingredients is under dosed. I look like I got mini pharmacy in my cabinet. It’s ridiculous to be honest. Every Sunday I organize my pills for the week it’s just wild looking lol

Avoiding overlap there really isn't a problem, but that doesn't make it necessary.

For weight loss or muscle building there is definitely a ceiling. You can only gain or lose so much weight at a time.
 
I guess...but I like to think of it as investing in my health and preventing the need to take more powerful and expensive medications in the future.

I posted a long explanatory post on this probably around a year ago, but I can't get the search function to cooperate to be able to find it at the moment.

As long as you make sure there isn't anything overlapping or offsetting one another, then everything should be fine.

There's nothing wrong with taking however many pills - different ingredients require different dosages to be effective and you can only fit but so much in a capsule, so that's the largest determining factor in # of capsules is the dosage of the ingredients themselves.

I take so many different things for general health that its not about counting capsules, one or two more or less doesn't make a difference bc its just a handful at this point.

Same here! My body has digested so many capsule casing over the years
 
Capsule shells themselves are either just gelatin or plant cellulose - so there's nothing about the capsule itself that is any different than anything you get in actual food.

Some people worry about taking that many capsule shells, but don't really realize what they are. Taking vegetable capsules is nothing that you wouldn't get from eating vegetables and taking gelatin capsules is nothing you wouldn't get from eating anything else with gelatin in it.
