I’m very lean. Low test has caused me to lose like 10lbs. No real hunger or motivation lately. I’m pretty young too and it’s a medical thing. I’m not able to get IM needles and syringes without a prescription my pharmacist tells me? I just got my vials who’s weekDepends on where you're going to pin and how lean you are. If glutes or VG, 1 1/2 is what I'd use. If delts and you're fairly lean, 5/8 should work. I think 25 gauge is perfect. Hardly feel a thing.

I have just been prescribed .4 ml 200mg/ml of test supinate twice a week. They want me to do IM but the 1-1/2 inch needle is crazy to me. Is there a better alternative? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Is there a brand that is better than others? Or a brand to stay away from?I pinned IM for about 10 years with a 23 gauge 1 inch and rotated between delts, quads and glutes. Almost a year ago a switched to sub-q just to help E2 and to get off of arimidex. I had zero issues pinning IM with the 23 gauge 1 inch.

This is for both drawing and pin? Sorry for the dumb questions. I swear I am not as stupid as I sound right now. Unfortunately in Missouri (my residency) there are very strict laws on needles and syringes. I need a prescription to buy in person or from a retailer. but can order on Amazon no problem. So I found some on Amazon 23g x 1”. Is it ok to post a link to see if this is what I need?EZ Touch 27g 1/2i inch 100cc/1ml insulin syringe I can hit IM everywhere but glutes. Delts, pecs, tris, lats, quads, ventroglutes all can be hit IM even at close to 20% bodyfat probably are no issue. You can order online.
Right now I take 0.1/10 units daily on a 30g insulin syringe from the pharmacy, bought over the counter 100 for $13 at Sam’s Club.
You can draw and pin with the same needle and it still pins smooth with slinpins.
The bigger needles are what you want to change out/have a separate draw needle. You should be able to hit ANYWHERE IM with a 25g 1” if you use a traditional 1cc or 3cc barrel luer-lock syringe.
But you don’t need thick or long needles to get it in the muscle, and you won’t have the same scar tissue accumulation from slinpins.

For years I've used insulin syringes, 5/8" x 27g. No problem filling syringe, takes about a minute or two to get to the .5ml mark.I have just been prescribed .4 ml 200mg/ml of test supinate twice a week. There's no reason to use a needle that large, you'll end up with a lot of scar tissue. When I first started trt, my original doc was giving me 18g x 1.5" harpoons. I used them the first year until I started reading about using smaller gauge shorter needles.I TRT with a 22g, 1 1/2, alternating quads every week. Come on guys, stop being a puddin pop. Lol. Its no different than a good day at the gym, be one with the pain!

That’s a cute thought, until you hit your first patch of scar tissue, and you literally have to jam the needle to bust through after it gets stuck halfway going into you. It is painful and unsettling when it happens, but much worse is the realization that all of the surrounding area is now useless. Maybe that’s not a big deal if you’re just on TRT for the rest of your life, but for people pushing real doses you want all the real estate you can get to rotate through.
If you force the oil into the pocket of scar tissue it can get trapped, so you have to go beyond it or shallow of it or withdraw and move around it.
How do you feel being on TRT for this long? When did you start? I have just begun TRT.Been there and done that. It sucks. I’ve been on TRT for a decade now so I have to be careful.

I had labs done 3 weeks ago. I scheduled an appointment for last Wednesday after being prescribed test cyp to be shown the proper procedure to do everything. I started the same day. My doctor is a HRT specialist. Which means he has a PHD with an emphasis on HRT. Luck of the draw really bc he is my PCP also. As there is great information on this website and I love it here. Always consult a good doctor. I’m shooting for the 11-1300 range. No pun intendedI feel great on TRT. I’ve been on for going on 11 years. The key is to have a dr that is up to date on hormone replacement. It’s more than just the numbers it’s how you feel also. So guys feel better with a total T level of 600-700 vs 900-1000. Some feel better at the high end. It’s so individually based. Also you need to have your DHEA, pregnenonlone and vitamin D3 checked along with your total test, free test and E2. Need to keep an eye on your RBC as well.
Anyone else shaky when first starting?lol
