I was actually at the theater watching Horizon Chapter 1 and had to take a pee break during this 3 hour movie plus 30 minutes trailers and stuff, turned on the CiaNN app while taking a long wizz that their headline was something like this "Trump fell, secret service surrounded him at event."

I mean wow, its pretty obvious shots were flying but they reported it just as "he fell" I mean wtf

Talk about "where were you when Trump got shot" when Im asked 20 years from now.

His ear got the tip hit by a bullet or shrapnel from the teleprompter. He was shot at with an AR-15.

FWIW - an average AR on a perfect stable sandbag rest in calm target practice would be around a 2" group for 150yds.

Introduce average human skill in a less stable position, nerves, etc and at least double that to a 4" group.

Plus a human target moving, etc. Compared to fixed paper target.

My ballistic calculator puts 5mph perpendicular wind value at only 1.3"

In the Marines, we didn't adjust at all for wind at 200yds or less.....


* woke DEI infecting the USSS, and far less staff for a candidate vs the actual President would be most to blame. CRAZY that they didn't have every rooftop secured within 500 yards.
 
Within 500yrds? You mean within line of sight. An M14 is good for 750m+; a 338 Lapua for actual miles.

I mean a secure zone for maximum control. While some rifles can reach out further, the wind and movement and skills all become exponentially more difficult with increased distance. There is only so much area they can lock down realistically.... 500yds should probably be the minimum.

While I have shot a .338 Lapua at a mile (for the History Channel) it was a 36" round target not moving, and it took me 3 tries to hit (which was one of the better scores)
 
Sure. A Lapua with the right scope and 500m is like 100-200m with an AR, as far as ease. I've hit a head-sized target at 750m with an M14/M21 on the first shot. They shouldn't assume threats are going to be untrained or incompetent.

True, that they should have had a large perimeter (considering how volatile everything is now) ...

But he was Very Close (in context).

I'm convinced they didn't flub his protection at all.
I'm fully convinced that they flubbed his assassination.

.... And this is coming from a guy who (me) sometimes angers his friends, because I don't believe a lot of conspiracy theories.

The video that shows these guys clearly with the shooter in their line of sight and they wait until after the shooter shoots before they fire back? They need to explain exactly what happened! And the SS declined all questions today when aske about the shooting? WTF!! They would only talk about the upcoming RNC!! Heads need to roll with this clown show!

Interesting that people clearly saw him as he was getting into position and started calling him out. Would have liked to see one of those people run to the nearest police presence. Maybe it happened off camera?

There is a story about a cop who climbed that same ladder, who backed down when the kid pointed the gun at him. Not sure if true though.

This shitshow needs a thorough investigation on camera and under oath!

Multiple people (on video) who saw the shooter climbing up the ladder, getting into position etc.. advised police and secret service many minutes before the first shot. And they were ignored.

Not sure how I feel about this. I would say the chances of government radically shrinking are nil, but maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.

Doesn’t excite me one bit but I don’t support the Republican Party at all so my opinion is rather irrelevent lol

I do think if he picked Marco Rubio that would have been horrible but wasn’t my call, at least he picked someone who hasn’t been there for an eternity.

"Advising the cops etc etc" isn't the same as notifying the secret service as originally claimed, that I doubted. I still don't see it happen on this video either.

And for that matter, the police/SS snipers on the roof look through their scopes to scan the crowd in general. It doesn't mean they were already looking at the assassin and had him targeted prior to the kid shooting. There were at least two sniper teams (on two barns) and I dont think we really know yet who actually first saw the kid, or when, or who took the shot.

But viewers see things, invent a storyline, and make youtube videos. Conspiracies abound.

Thus far I think we only really know 2 things.....

1) that building roof should have been guarded. Someone screwed up bad and needs to be held accountable.

2) Trump says his team requested more security and was denied. The govt denies this claim. Someone is lying.
