Do we still have an Admin?

No

I get this. If you crop the picture it will usually send so when your taking the picture just make sure the subject is smaller in the Fram than normal then when you crop it it looks normal... If that makes sense. I think when you take a picture a lot of phones have such good cameras these days that the file size is quite large. When you crop it then save I think it saves as a smaller jpeg of the same image so uses less memory. At least that's how it seems to work on my phone.

This has been my experience.

Ya most people (maybe I shouldn't assume though..) are probably viewing the forums on their phone. They don't need the massive pixel counts many of these images are at nowadays.

You can dial down the resolution your phone takes pictures at if you want to take specific pictures for the forum though.

Admin does a good job, he cleans things up in threads when needed and you probably just don't notice some of the stuff he is doing (which probably means he is doing it well because it doesn't disrupt the flow).

Every time I've had an issue posting an image, I just take a screenshot of it, and post that.
Works for me, 100% of the time.

Sent a message to said name the other day. Maybe I’m just impatient

If we didn't have an Admin, the forum would honestly be overrun with spam and bots in a matter of days. :)

The Admin is normally good about replying to people, but he's human just like us - he's going to have days where he isn't able to check on here and times where when he does, he's going to get on and clean things up or take care of things that are reported issues and he may not have time to check pm's. But he normally does a good job getting back to people.

I've had times where someone would pm me on a Friday and then get upset that I didn't reply until Monday. It's not that I was ignoring them, its that I didn't get on that weekend, or if I did it was because someone asked me to and I was looking at something specific and didn't check pm's.

M question for the admin is why can’t I upload pictures. Every pic I try i am told I can’t it’s too large. And these are normal pics from my phone. I mean fix this issue already I try to post and every image is an issue. It’s lame man. Stop being lazy and fn fix it

The @Admin is anything but lazy here. He puts a tremendous amount of work into providing all of us with a place that we can interact and discuss bodybuilding, supplements, and other topics.

He also puts a tremendous amount of time and effort into cleaning up spam, bots, troll posts, and a lot of other stuff that people don't see - which is a good thing bc it means he's cleaning it up quick enough for them not to.

Lazy would be the other spam filled forums, the few that are left - that haven't been properly updated in years and that have as many or more spam and bot posts than actual posts.

If you want to consider anyone lazy, that would be a comment more for the company that makes and does updates for the software used for forums like this.

If you, me, or anyone else offers any type of forum, we are somewhat at the mercy of the software parameters of the platform.

If you're trying to post pics from your phone and they are too large to upload, you can take a screen shot of them and then upload the screen shot. You can also adjust the resolution of the photos you take to make the file sizes larger.

I've wondered this myself.

It's a size issue and very common with websites and any forum software. It's not specific to AM, it almost any forum that you post on. I have a Jeep and the few remaining Jeep forums that are left are the same way and look to have similar software/platform.

There were other good suggestions in the thread that tend to work - changing picture resolution, cropping it, or if on the phone, taking a screen shot of it.

A lot of times when we do product introduction threads, some of the digital renders we use may be too large and I have to resize them or take a screen shot of them to post.

Agreed. Great points.

I think most people don't realize how much time and effort the Admin puts into keeping this forum cleaned up for people to enjoy. It's like you said, not noticing a lot of the stuff that he does means he's doing a great job because he removes a lot of the bs quick enough for people not to see it.
