I have no inspiration, just looking for new people

Get to a gym, or workout at home, just start doing something.

Lots of time people are looking for something to motivate them, but that's a temporary fix. If you want to make changes and make progress then ultimately YOU have to want it and the end goal is your inspiration and motivation to keep making progress.

We live in a world where everyone is caught up looking for the best program or the miracle diet or the secret pill. But in reality, none of those things exist. Time, effort and consistency are the keys to unlock your goals.

I like to set 1 or 2 long term goals. Maybe over the next 3 years I want to add 20lbs of muscle and get my bench from 360-405.

Now I gotta set mini goals, or steps to achieve that out come.

Start simple, maybe from now till the end of this month your goal is to get to the gym or do some form of working out three times a week, then for the month of December you increase it to four times a week and you work on your food selections and start tailoring them to reach your goals.

Then maybe next year you start setting up 4 month training blocks, you can give yourself a goal for each season.

The plane I'm trying to make is you got to start somewhere and just be consistent and at the end of the day you have to want it more than anyone else.

Learn to love the gym, embrace the challenge and eventually you will look forward to it.

Every day while I'm at work I can't wait to get out so I can hit the gym. At least most days that's how I feel.

Good luck

Having the drive is a personal passion. No one will do anything random strangers on the internet drive them to do.
Might last for a small time, that fades if one is not loving it. You either have the drive, or you do not...

start lil .. even if its 30 mins a day for a month .. no need to complicate workouts .. do what makes you feel good in gym .. no need to follow any program .. diet helps but if your diet is bad .. keep at it until you get in a habit of going to gym ..those habit will change eventually.

And stick with it!
Don't abandon it (like you did this thread), and board.

I recently ran across a fairly recent pic of one of the Biggest, Strongest guys I've ever personally known (we traveled in the same "circle" for a few years).
He's got Massive Moobs, and Looks like he no longer lifts.

My purpose here definitely isn't to make fun of the guy.
.... We all have to make choices in our lives, based upon our current situation.

But ... For me .... I'm personally using this as even more inspiration to Never let myself get in that condition physically (If I can help it).

I'll be 51 in a month. Out of probably over 100 people I work with, I'm one of the most in shape people!! Same goes for my kids friends parents.. I got a late start. The other dads I hang around with wear swim shirts.. I stay driven to stay healthy and not embarrass my 12 year old daughter. Lol.

Oh come on! We both knew I wouldn’t be capable of maintaining that physique forever. We traveled in circles alright, but I’m not in my 20’s anymore.

As far as the moobs, that Daddy website was only intended to be for temporary supplemental income and they assured me that my photos would be highly encrypted. Hmmm… 🧐

Here you go man... I fucking got you...

Motivation is hard. It's all about forcing yourself to do it for a few weeks and getting into the habit. Im a perfect example. I used to do some leet **** back in the day and was insanely physically fit 210 @ 10%. I stopped that line of work and got into the corporate world and had the suburban life and my body went to ****. This happened for years. I also had thyroid issues making it even easier to look like dog ****.

I woke up one day and said I am going to force myself to work out, I am going to force myself to eat right. It took about 6 weeks but after that, I couldn't stop trying to get better and better. After that, I just kept at it.

Here is the proof anyone can fucking do this ****.... That is a natural transformation and now I am working on the next level with a cycle. All it takes is building the habit for about 6 weeks. Again keep in mind this is a natural effort. No gear. Just trying to be better every day.

LOL.

I don't know how strong he (uh ... you, LOL) was before he dropped off, but he was benching 500 or more, the last time I was around him ...

Well don’t put this all on me. When was the last time you attempted to call or even text?

Honestly the most motivating thing for me is when I am on a cycle of PEDs/steroids. Which is going to be all the time once this shoulder settles out. 👍

The guy joined the forum 3 months ago, he made this thread with his first post and never came back. Needless to say you all have failed miserably at motivating him on his journey to the Olympia stage

Well to be fair, it may have been because I hadn’t chimed in yet. I take full responsibility for this one.

Looks like you are in a winning position to build some solid beef! Good for you!

I’m at that point where I’m not sure if I have moobs. What is the criteria between big pecs and moobs? How low they are? Tone? Nipple size? I’m kind of busting out over here!
It's OK Ricky. Your milkshake still brings all the boys to the yard
I wish I looked as good as the last time when I didn’t look good.

Motivation = synthol….seeing those instant gains keeps you going and going…right to Mr. Oilympia!
Disclaimer: Jk don’t ever use synthol.

I think this should be a thread topic. Moobs, or muscled pecs? Where and how do we make the distinction? Can there be a hybrid?

I’m not above making a thread so someone better be ready quick with some answers.

I really did laugh out loud on this one

I have always been told that I spread joy! Except of course for those instances in which I don’t.

Still waiting on opinions on criteria between moobs and big pecs. I think it’s fair to say they can’t be pointed. Anything triangular shaped is probably an instant MOOB classification. I don’t have any triangles. But I used to play the triangle in my high school band.

🤔 if my pecs look normal when the nipple is hard but kinda sag on the side when soft, is that moobs or nah?

I would say it’s incapable of being classified. But you should definitely get yourself an OnlyFans profile if you haven’t already done so.

Congratulations gentleman, the Philippines called and harry villego just got his gym membership. We did it! Special thanks to Ricky's milkshake and SSJ's moons and everyone else for unmoral support

I have no idea who that is, but that does sound like exciting news!

I definitely feel as though my pecs have gotten steadily bigger throughout my 40’s despite training factors. They also seem to just sit lower as time progresses. It seems challenging to be able to keep your pecs up where you want them as you get older.

Once I get back in the gym, I’m going to try and iron out a routine to get them back up there nice and proud. Or at least try. I definitely like it better than being flat chested though…haha!

Power, stretch, pump. That's how I like to train chest if you have decent shoulder health.

Warm up and do some rotator cuff exercises and then head over to a bench or a incline in the Smith machine or something of that nature. This is the power portion, after a few warm up sets you work up to a weight you can do for about 6-8 reps and do 3 sets of 6. If you got really good shoulders and you like lifting heavy you could even do three or four sets of three to five reps instead of the 3x6

Now move to a stretch exercise like a db or cable fly or a pec fly machine, do a warm up sets or 2 and then 4 sets of 10-12 and make sure you get a good stretch at the bottom of each rep.

Now find a machine press or a cable crossover or whatever you choose and to 3 sets of 20+ and your goal is to force as much blood as possible.

I'm no Arnold Schwarzenegger but I got a pretty good chest development and I benched 353 and 360 in the 198lb class in competition and 375 in the gym touch and go

Sometimes il do push ups or dips to failure at the end
It will be quite some time until I train period, but I appreciate the tips! I am 6 weeks post op from a 90% torn supraspinatus rotator cuff tendon, and labrum repair. Doing very well! I haven’t been able to workout since July, which is when the tear happened. I couldn’t even do cardio because it was indirectly too much stress on my shoulder and caused pain. My PT predicted I could be back in the gym in about 5 months from now. I think it may be sooner, but I’m going to progress VERY carefully.

Having said that, it’s been years since I have done dips. The gym I had to go to after COVID hit 3 years ago didn’t have any equipment that would allow me to do dips. Maybe that’s why my pecs had been steadily dropping, as I used to be quite diligent with dips.

I forgot all about that, absolutely do not do that workout i listed with a bad shoulder. My bad lol

I have a love hate relationship with dips, when my shoulders feel really good I will go through short periods Where I swap out the bench press for weighted dips. But if I'm not careful I tweak something and Even though I've built my shoulders up really good and they're nice and strong, underneath that muscle that's protecting my shoulder joint is a partial tear and my left rotator cuff. And the machine dip almost always hurts. So I just use dips as a finisher now. I rarely add any weight and it's kind of a limited range of motion, But not deep enough that I risk the shoulder

If I were you. After physical therapy I'd just start with light db presses so you can alter positions to find a comfortable way to press and maybe a fixed chest press machine Where you can adjust the seat so that it doesn't force a really tough stretch at the bottom

Yes, that is essentially how I envisioned my return to the gym as well. It certainly will be an interesting process going back.

When I was trying to workout in July and didn’t realize the damage that had been done, I was doing 10# db presses…haha! It was rather embarrassing. I rubbed my shoulder after each set to potentially make it known to people that I was attempting to work myself through an injury.

Then I was trying all of the standard resistance band exercises at home to stabilize the rotator cuff, and I always just ended up feeling much worse. I knew something was quite wrong this time, and it certainly was.

It's soo funny yiu said that. Whenever I have a injury and I have to significantly dial back the weight I always rub and stretch the muscles between sets so it's obvious I'm hurting lol 😆🙃😅😂

I’m sure we are the norm rather than the exception. But then I wonder if people are thinking “Does that whoose really feel the need to rub his shoulder and stretch out after lifting just 10#? What a loser!”

It’s kind of a no win situation, but I’m sure I will divert to the shoulder rub yet again regardless ;)

He checked here, and couldn't find any new people.
His loss. Obviously…

However, this thread has already had 293 views, so just think of all the lives we were able to enrich regardless. That’s something we can all be proud of!

Swim shirts are mandatory when boogie boarding though.

Absolutely, it's always a pleasure bullshittin with you as well, you always seem like a cool and very positive person. Hope your shoulder heals up soon 😎

Well thanks man! It’s always a pleasure corresponding with you as well. I appreciate your honesty too. Like when you told me I was likely too fat to get much out of my Dienogen cycle back in 2021. You were right….I like that!

I’m actually not a very positive person, especially in these challenging times. But I am definitely feeling positive about my shoulder situation!

Please tell me I worded it more kindly then that 😆 🤣 😂.

I do feel like some compounds require lower body fat to get the most out of them or to minimize side effects. I based that thinking off of myself being too fat on many of my early cycles. That's how I think I got gyno and acne on trest and my lack of results with Dien and masteron back in the day.

Dienolone was actually a great product for lots of ppl, I just didn't respond as well as I wish. I sure as he'll tried tho. I bought dienogen or whatever was the combo product, I bought a injectable version and a oral version too.

As far as the shoulder goes I'm glad your feeling positive, yiu should try to be more positive in general.

Yesterday I had a great day and half the reason was because some random dude on the internet was making me laugh and seeing other ppl happy seems to genuinely make me happy.

When we think positive we do positive things and life gets better. When we think negative we spread negativity.

I know it's easier said then done. Half the time I'm in a good mood it's because I'm telling myself lies that everything is great! Lol. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't 🤷

Possibly it’s just the effects of gravity over the past 4 decades making my chest drop? Maybe I need to consider purchasing one of these inversion devises so I can sleep upside down? Like a bat. A bat with a perky pecs.

I can’t be the only one who who has admired the alpha appearance of bat chests for years. I can’t help but think they are on to something.
