@Marquan8855 that was a great trip down ecdysterone memory lane. I remember quite a few of those products.

E-bol by thermolife had some muscle hardening effects for me. I can't say it was a placebo since I used it multiple times.

I remember in the late 80's through the 90's when ecdy supplements were being pushed..... Finally all the research and studies showed that it did basically nothing .... I tried it when I was 19..... It did nothing for me at all.

Did nothing? I wouldn't say that at all. I think they showed in some studies to be on par with anabolic steroids as far as increasing protein synthesis but the problem has always been sourcing the right material and dosing.

Unless you find a way to inject it...... It's just vegitarian food.

Same here, tried all these things in my late teens and early 20's. Got zero results from them.

I think stuff in this catagory does have some benifits, but building muscle is not 1 of those benifits. I don't care what the protein synthesis in the studies. Maybe it was similar in a test tube, but not in real world application.

In real world application I've seen ppl get results that appeared to be more geared towards fat loss and endurance.

I've also read some stuff showing it can increase RBC, that would make sense with the endurance I guess

Well everyone seems to assume protein synthesis equals gains. But not necessarily. Food increases protein synthesis, but people aren’t swelling up just from eating.

I think it was Rob Regish who said to treat these ecdysterone type supplements as adaptogens instead of anabolics.

The it does nothing statement is just plain out false. Source makes all the difference with this herb. Thermolife was one of the only companies to use the right stuff, which explains the positive feedback it consistently got. Rhaponticum Carthamoides is what you’re looking for

It's not plain out false, it's MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, for me PERSONALLY, It did nothing. That doesn't mean it's going to do nothing for you, doesn't mean it's going to do nothing for someone else but for me it did nothing. Thermolife was also one of the ones I used.

I noticed nothing in terms of muscle growth

You may have been looking for the wrong thing. Its biggest benefit is in endurance, stamina, and muscle fullness. Taking the right dose of the right extract and i’m positive you will see results

Theres a thread a few spots down with guys thats been on this board for a long time. Some who doubted turk until they got their hands on REAL turk and ran the right dosage. Look for yourself. The numerous positive results in the thread speaks for itself

I am one of them, been on this forum since 2005, thought ecdy/turk was bunk. Did exubol for 4 months straight may until august. Excellent endurance pumps and stamina, totally impressed. Dont know about steriod gains or steriod performance but for natural supplement, if I were a rich man I would use it daily.

I think ecdysterone gets unfairly criticized because there are studies that compare it to anabolic steroids and it shows similar effects. Now where it gets tricky is that people automatically assumes that means it will produce the same level of muscle growth. From the studies it shows it produces the same if not more increases in protein synthesis but increasing protein synthesis is just one mechanism by which anabolic steroids increase muscle mass. We have to look at the total picture and then of course there is the problem of getting the right material and dosing.

Turk/Ecdy's biggest issue is one faced by MOST supplements but perhaps none more than turk/ecdy: They suffer from COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS mostly due to OVER HYPING and certain sellers outright BSing.

ALL muscle building/anti-catabolic supplements suffer from the above. For example I just today had a customer complaining that he was taking sugar pills I sold him and they are not working. He did complain about a long list of side effects(not sure how he thinks they are sugar pills AND causing side effects.) He quoted no increase in size, strength and "jacked feelings." Mind you he bought it FIVE FUCKING DAYS AGO. This is an extreme example but it perfectly demonstrates the type of mindset some people have with supplements. You wonder why they put caffeine in freaking protein powder these days? For people like this.

Rant over(needed to vent thanks lol.) I notice an increase in hardness/fullness and recovery when using quality turk/ecdy. I had quality results from about 1/2 of the products I have used. I also noticed more when cutting/recomping and think the benefits were not worth it when eating a large surplus in that instance something like Anacylus is far better suited IME.

Just remember whenever you hear people completely dismissing a product you can find guys on steroid boards who claim testosterone does not work for them...................ya.
