Semi new to lifting. Is a BCAA supplement good to take? Worth the money?

EAA would be better.

Ah yes, that’s more what I meant.

so is spending money on an EAA supplement worth it? Do they really help? I am vegetarian and consume all plant/whey/milk protein

i started drinking bcaa’s during my workouts. used it for a couple months and felt no difference so I stopped. when I stopped I noticed a big difference in my lifts and rest times. so ever since been using them

Thanks for any feedback!

Personally, if I am training AM fasted, or a good 4+ hours after a meal, use EAA’s w/carbs intra workout. If I had a chance to eat an hour or so beforehand, I wouldn’t worry about it. The vast majority of my workouts are early AM so I have found they (along with intra carbs) make a big difference. If you train after a meal and get adequate protein intake over the day, you likely won’t see a huge difference.

Lots of great options out there.

Some ones I have used and thought were decent (off the top of my head):

Nutrabio Intrablast and AlphaEAA
Prosupps Hydro BCAA+ (has EAA’s)
Allmax MuscleEAA
Morphogen Synthagen

Beware formulas that are basically BCAA and pixie dust all of the EAAs.

Honestly, opinions vary between experts..
I've always been in the "it tastes really good and makes water more interesting and appealing, also could possibly be good for my muscles..so why not"

EAA are better than BCAA but if you're on a budget, just skip it all together. It's kind of like a luxury to me. Instead, spend the money on protein powder and/or foods high in protein content.

I'm not sure about eaa but bcaa has some mice study showing bcaa can cause obeisety. so if you're trying to cut fat it's probably going to be counter productive

I've never heard that one, and don't see how that can even be the case?
