6 Weeks to Recomp

So I've got a spur of the moment beach trip I'm going on in 6 weeks and I am very much not ready to be seen with a shirt off in public.

Diet will be a strict intermittent fasting and I plan to actually start doing cardio, as opposed to other cuts where I adjusted calories only. I probably haven't ran in 6 years

Anyways, I know natural supplements are very minor in what they can do, especially in shorter runs. But if you guys had to pick a handful of products in this situation, whether it's to cut specifically or retain muscle fullness with a calorie deficit, I am all ears

Currently already taking Optimize T, about 2 weeks in. Not seeing a ton from it so far for libido/energy but I'm still hopeful.

optimize t isnt gonna do anything like that for you. its pretty much a feel good supplement. not really for strength or fatloss

Hm, with that kind of time frame id probably go into a mini-cut instead. If you have the mass but just want to loose the fat, a mini-cut should do that for you. It will be harder but results are usually crazy if done right.

I have RP's Mini-Cut manual if you want it. It gives you pretty much all you need to set it up for youself.

I would love to take a peak at it if you didn’t mind!

Recomping is the absolute hardest thing to do. Ive spent a entire year recomping and most of it I logged here, not as one log but through multiple logs this was about 2 years ago I believe. A whole entire year of recomping made about the same progress as just doing one bulk and one cut. If you've already been dieting for an extended amount of time and have gotten pretty clean and then you wanted to throw some extra food and gear in the mix for 6 weeks or 4 weeks or something like that then yeah you might be able to pull off something noticeable but if you're trying to look your best in 6 weeks or recomp is a terrible idea you just need to dye it and get rid of the fat. You're not going to build any significant amount of muscle in 6 weeks.

You could crash diet for a month and starve the s*** out of yourself and then throw some anodrol in for the last 2 weeks for the cosmetic effects and make it look like you recomped lol

In 6 weeks you could die it off 20 lb if you really wanted to, that will make your waste significantly smaller. But in 6 weeks of recap which means you're trying to maintain the same body weight build muscle and lose fat at the same time you are going to make very little noticeable progress on your waistline.

Based on my recent experience I would go with Ursa Major. I have seen the most dramatic effects in shorter amount of time from this than most other natural supplements. Next on my list would be Anabolic Effect (fullness) and then Lean Edge or thermo amp (fat loss). I would probably use Y or Alpha-Y pre fasted cardio (w/caffeine) as well if it doesn’t bother you.

Diet*

I'm using talk to text every time I say that word it screws it up LOL

I don’t know, with my past cutting experience, that may be the easiest option for me to lose the weight! Just need to go into a coma for a few weeks “die off” a few pounds lol

I'll echo what has already been said, you won't recomp to any meaningful degree in 6 weeks, except maybe on SD, Tren, Epistane, the likes (especially while still on).. So you should just cut imo. Maybe carb up back some muscle fullness for the last week to 10 days. I also agree that I would give Ursa Major a go, if looking for only natty options. It's pretty awesome.

That's fair, I do think a quick cut is whats needed, if anything to lose some water weight. I guess when I was thinking recomp, I moreso want to keep some muscle fullness, I was feel like I deflate when cutting.

I'm open to trying a few things, I've got another beach trip in 13-14 weeks so I can get the full benefit from natty supps before that one, I just know most things don't really start shining until a few weeks in.

Ursa Major is one supp I've never tried, so I'd be interested in giving it a go.

Yeah, I easily lose muscle fullness as well when cutting and usually look my best 2-4 weeks after a (longer) cut, so that's why I suggest the 7-10 day refill at the end. But not to be too discouraging, I think you can make a decent visible change in 6 weeks, depending how much chub you have to lose. I've made pretty nice body comp progress in 6-8 weeks cuts, going from semi loose to semi lean.

Here's my review on Ursa Major, if interested.

How many bottles would one need to run Ursa Major 8 weeks at the effective dose?

2 60mL bottles would make for a nice 2 month run at 2mL a day. Some have gone up to 3 or 4mL a day, but 1-2 is probably enough for most people. Keep an eye out for their BOGO sales to stock up.

Yeah, I agree with this ^. I usually use 2-3 ml a day.

OP, in a similar boat with 6 weeks before the beach!

In general, I tend to like yohimbine, if you can tolerate it, and these days also BAIBA and paradoxine/grains of paradise. I'm using all of the above in my log currently. Plus, if you want to go hormonal route could add in something like epiandro or 11-KT. I think Iron Legion currently has an 11/7 stack combo going on.

Staying away from hormonal for now, I need to get consistent in going to the gym in the first place before thinking about that. I’m gonna try and make myself be consistent for a good 6 months before thinking about that.

I get in the habit of going for a couple months then seems every 3-4 months get burnt out and work takes over.
Unfortunately stims don’t work well for me anymore, they just wreck my anxiety. After using tren a few years ago it seems my sensitivity to supplements and sleep increased dramatically

If it is a short time table of 6 weeks you can just cut pretty aggressively if you want to target a change in body composition.

I'd focus on supplements that will keep you feeling ok (stims/t-booster like you are using with optimize-t), anything to help keep as much muscle as possible, and maybe some pump products to help keep training "fun" or motivating with the drop in calories.

Yep.

And alternatively for the future, if you have a longer timeframe, this article may be insightful.

“Key Points

The presently reviewed meta analysis (1) quantified the impact of an energy deficit on strength and lean mass gains in response to resistance training.

Energy deficits led to significant impairment of lean mass gains (effect size [ES] = -0.57, p = 0.02) and non-significant impairment of strength gains (ES = -0.31, p = 0.28). As the energy deficit grew by 100kcals/day, lean mass effect size tended to drop by 0.031 units; a deficit of ~500kcals/day was predicted to fully blunt lean mass gains (ES = 0).

“Recomposition” (simultaneous fat loss and muscle gain) is possible in certain scenarios, but a sizable calorie deficit typically makes lean mass accretion an uphill battle.”

I can’t find the product write up on my phone for some reason. I never really messed with Andro products, does this need a PCT? I know some of them are mild enough natural products will work, I just don’t know much about them
