yes, i gave putin too much credit, i thought he would have learned from recent history....both russia and America had horrible experiences in afghanistan.....the people of ukraine are not going to go down easily and are well armed, the 'RESISTANCE' movement his troops are going to meet are going to cause a lot of casualtites...
the russia people were not behind this invasion, if russian troops start seeing a lot of loses putin is going to be in trouble with his people---i see this turning out really bad for putin.
of course my sympathies are with the people of ukraine--i am Praying for them.

Ukraine is ranked #22 in the world for military, but I dunno if there is going to be much of a fight.

Zelensky has handled this about as well he could, and the Ukrainian people are proud and free. But no one is coming to help.
I think Putin knows if he storms in fast and hard enough, taking out key defenses in surgical strikes, that he can take Kiev and install a new pro-Russian government in just a few days.
Putin probably hopes to forcibly put things back to like they were in 2004, and then back off hoping the people accept his good old days again....

a well armed civillian militia can cause havoc for invading army--look at the history behind this........i see a lot of russian lives being lost in ukraine and i believe the russian public won't have the stomach for this anymore than the American public would.

200 Russians died in Syria? But now we're talking land that Russia believes it has claim of right too, HUGE difference.
This is ongoing territorial dispute on a non-NATO member. We could just leave Ukraine to fight its own battles or face possible Nuclear war. That's the options really.

Iran cheated on the deal, hid work at military installations, and still trained Iraq rebels to kill our troops. Obama/Biden sent them pallets of cash in a jet. Trump sent a jet with a missile instead and killed their terror mastermind and the Ayotolla's best friend.

He has been more anti-war leaning advocate for decades and he did campaign on scaling back the wars which he did, although not to my personal satisfaction but this is what he did. In fact, he was the first President in a very long time to not launch a new full scale war on any country.
