Memory or Brain Supplement

My memory seems to be going down the drain. Not sure it's ADD type function or what.

I have an engaging conversation and I just can't seem to remember details without really focusing on remembering. Even about dog training which I am passionate about. My memory has always been kind of crap but it "seems" to be dwindling even before Covid.

What are some of your go to supps to increase brain memory?

You might look at the list of supplements in Dr. Daniel Amen's book "Memory Rescue".

While I haven't used any supplements for memory, there's something simple and free you can do everyday to help. That say "use it or loose it" definitely applies to your brain. Something as simple as playing brain games on your phone or doing crossword puzzles will stimulate your brain and help your memory. I've also heard good stuff about "go super brain" but unfortunately it looks like you need a membership or something to check it out.

Focus XT is the best thing that I've ever used for memory. I have terrible ADD and around 10 years ago it really started to affect my memory. Back then, I used the version of Focus XT we had then but didn't use it daily. When we upgraded the formula a couple years back, I noticed it had a much better effect on my memory and I use it pretty much daily now.

Focus XT is most commonly thought of on AM probably as like a nootropic energy drink of sorts but we have a lot of people use it for ADD/ADHD purposes and also elderly people that use it for mental clarity, focus, and memory support.

We designed Focus XT to be pretty much the perfect nootropic base product and target mental focus, clarity, concentration, and memory from a lot of different angles. If you do a lot of research on memory supplements, you'll find that Focus XT contains pretty much the 'who's who list' of memory ingredients.

A notable exception would be Bacopa and we have that in Stress & Anxiety Support and its a better fit in that product bc it stacks well with the adaptogens in there and too much Bacopa can cause stomach upset, so it wouldn't be good to have it in both because a lot of people stack Focus XT and Stress & Anxiety Support.

Here's the supplement facts panel for Focus XT:

Out of that list, the following all have multiple clinical studies showing that they support memory in some way:
  • Vitamins B6 and B12
  • Tyrosine
  • Choline and Alpha GPC
  • Acetyl L-Carnitine
  • Taurine
  • DMAE
  • Theanine
  • Lutein
  • Huperzine A
That's literally 11 ingredients that all have clinical studies on them showing cognitive and memory benefits.

The supplement facts I posted is the caffeine version but there's also a caffeine free version. And that one is a great option for someone that wants to use it for daily use if they don't want the stimulants.

Thank you. I will look into that.

Will try this too!

I currently use the stim version of Focus XT. But I usually only use it pre workout or if I am really dragging after lunch.
Focus XT is probably the “easiest” way to go for this.

Also Bacopa, Lions Mane, and Ginkgo are some other potential options.

Along with just using your brain like mentioned above.
Thank you!

That's the way that a lot of people take it, and especially on here. And its great for that, but it's also great for a lot of other things as well.

One of our biggest growing customer bases for Focus XT is people 40+ that use the stim free version daily (and sometimes the stim one) for memory and cognitive health related purposes. This market used to be, and still is largely dominated by capsule products but more and more have started to understand that the dosages required of some things equate to a ton of capsules so they're using things like Focus XT to be able to get them all in one thing.

That's one of the reasons that for years we've only had one flavor of Focus XT Caffeine Free but that we'll be releasing at least one new flavor of it soon, probably more.

@kjscatch , i was clinically diagnosed [brain MRI] with vascular dementia and was prescribed aricept over 2 years ago ...i didn't like how aricept made me feel and started using ENDOAMP MAXas a staple over 2 years ago. my yearly tests for mental cognitive skills have improved over the span of using ENDOAMP MAX.

i have a ton of aricept they keep sending me, lol.

been looking at appollon nutrition overtime, it is loaded with noots...then i saw timecop and it is overtime plus a bunch of really good pump ingredients for just a few bucks more.

so yesterday i ordered timecop and going to be using it at half scoop on workout days in combination with half dose of endoamp max.

have you ever considered noopept? I guess it was made for Alzheimer's. I like the nasal spray from AA

thanks for looking out, but i've had sinus issues in the past and several years ago had nasal reconstruction surgery, not eager for any supp that goes into nose.

i've been looking at appollon nutrition, they put noopept in several of their products...i just bought Timecop yesterday-it's due to arrive tomorrow, pretty excited to try it. :)

tried out timecop this morning as a pre-workout-half scoop with just 1 cap of endoamp max...all i can say is fantastic, the mind muscle connection was as good as ever, pump was very good--but the focus, energy, and feel good effect was right on point.

i give this a 9.5 out of 10...
it would have been a solid 10, but even though i'm not one to judge by taste-the tigers blood flavor of timecop wasn't very good--effects though were pretty awesome and more than made up for taste----if you try timecop just beware it's not the worst tasting but it won't put taste buds in a happy place either.
