The Longest Yard. (The original, although I also kinda enjoyed the newer one)
 
at the time Brian's Song was huge....haven't watched it in many years so i don't know if it still holds up?

a more current one i liked was 2008s 'The Wrestler', Mikey Rourke's oscar was well deserved, imo.

have not seen brian's song .. was it based on a true story from a chicago bears ?

Wrestler was real good and great performance

Just watched that two weeks ago, it still holds up. Found the dvd on amazon!

very underrated flick .. i remember i loved it as well .. have you seen goon 2 ? think i purposely was ignoring it because had a feeling it would be ruined

The first one is way better, but the second film is still worth a watch.. at least once, lol.
 
Movie VS Show - both are pretty awesome and think you will enjoy it very much if you are a football fan.

IMO Kyle Chandler is an extremely underrated actor, good choice

Billy Bob ain't bad either.

And the great white hype are 2 good boxing related movies.
 
The Rocky series (most of them were great).
Creed.
The Hurricane.
Raging Bull.
The Fighter.
Southpaw.
Moneyball.
The Wrestler.
Sandlot.
I, Tonya.
Remember the Titans.
Kingdom (TV series about mma fighters).
Draft Day (this was decent worth a watch).
Any Given Sunday (this wasn’t great, but still a somewhat fun watch).
Foxcatcher.
Coach Carter.
Miracle.


I know I am missing some good ones. I may add some in when I remember more.

It was on Amazon prime recently but I just checked and it’s “currently unavailable”. It’s worth a watch if you can find it somewhere, very humorous and has a lot of cameos like Evander Holyfield and Dick Butkus among others.
