That article is not exactly relevant to the United States, its very misleading and it confuses people as to the foundation of our Republic.

There is no "end of democracy" as it was never founded as a democracy here. The USA is not a democracy, it is a Constitutional Republic with elements of Democracy.

The majority cannot vote our rights away, doing so is a crime. We have rule of law here, its not a matter of human brains not being built for self rule, its a matter of this country has been taken over by eilte criminals giving people the illusion that they have a choice, they dont have a choice.

NZ has a lot of road crashes because there are so many drunks-period!!!

drunk driving is a real problem in your country--not to say it isn't a serious problem here also-but lets call it like it is.

as to the higher crime rates the no cash bail puts criminals back on the streets that before were kept locked up-the christmas parade murderer is a good example...then we have liberal prosecutors in blue cities not prosecuting victimless crimes like shoplifting under $950 this is why the smash and go mobs are so rampant in california and spreading to cities like chicago.

you have a much higher chance of being a victim of crime in democrat run run cities with liberal prosecutors and this is a fact, jack!!!

But you are boiling it down to political affiliation which has zero relevance. Those are not drivers of crime in any sense of the word. Boiling it down to what colour state they are minimizes the actual issues and creates further divide.

People don't sit at home and think "hey I'm a Democrat, so now I'm a criminal". That literally makes no sense. Blaming crime on who voted for who is retarded.

Drunk driving is an issue but it's not our number 1 cause of road accidents. Like other aspects of crime there are many factors. Speed on open roads. Our open roads being 1 lane with no centre barriers to stop idiots crossing the centerline and so on.

You don't fix our road death toll just by focusing on drunk drivers.

people look at consequences--if there are no or less consequences in blue cities guess what happens...and then you have recidivism rates if there is no cash bond in blue cities if cops arrest them they are back out on the streets usually the same day..

look at the christmas parade murderer...no way he should have been on the street...that is just one example there are many, many more--the same people are responsible for the majority of crimes, this is fact--when you keep putting them back on the street guess what happens.

If simply locking criminals up solved crime, why hasn't it solved crime yet? You can lock up individuals but that doesn't address the issue of why they are criminals in the first place.

That's not to say I don't agree with you. I absolutely do when it comes to holding people to account and making it harder for them to commit crime, but preventing crime is more than just catching criminals.

The difference is he doesn't own a company where he creates a Bill that inflates his pockets.

when i read steven kings book the stand i day dreamed of what it would be like to be able to walk into government buildings and see 1st hand all the dirty secrets the government has been keeping from us...i am somewhat of a conspiarcy theorist-i fess up to this...but i truly believe that even i would be astonished to learn of all the dirty deeds the government has been up to for many, many decades....fauci is not only part of the government he is part of the bureaucracy-which means politicians have come and gone but he is still standing--the skeptic in me believes-but of course i have no evidence that fauci is dirty as sin and up to his neck in corruption.

you can call me retarded, but i don't have a lot of trust in the government--especially the bureaucracy who actually run the government behind the scenes-regardless of which party is in power.

In NYC its so bad they were not only dumping bail for criminals, but they were handing them out tickets to professional baseball games as an incentive to hope they show up for court. And this is all paid by tax dollars. You can break into someones home and you dont even need to be bailed out, wtf....here, have a game ticket!!!

This is completely fair thinking though. I truly believe humans are inherently selfish, and that becomes very evident when they stand to lose or gain something.

We have evolved to self persevere. Look at what happened during the early stages of the pandemic and the people who hoarded toilet paper as an example. Or those who bought up thousands of masksvto pump them out for massive margins.

My wife is sick, she is getting better but we couldnt get a Covid test from all the pharmacies not all the way until January the 4th, that was yesterday.

Today I filled out a application at a major hospital to make an appointment, at the end the site said they would call us to make an appointment and we never even heard from them.

Its like wtf???? We have those Covid Testing sites but we have to drive over 2 hours one way to get there.

Oh thanks!!! She will be good, she finally ate tonight, had to almost force her to eat just yogurt the past day and a half. Her breathing hadnt been effected so I wasnt really scared, but she did almost hit 102 fever a few times.

I was sick mildly bad about 6 weeks ago and I got a Covid test (negative) pretty fast at Walgreens, not these days. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to spread it to anyone. Ill have to be careful now even though Im 100% healthy myself.

you are a good guy--even though my wife and i have never been sick since covid back in march, we have been around people who tested positive and were ill with covid, so we have been tested twice just to make sure we aren't going to spread to others.

we both got pneumonia shots 3 years ago and we get flu shots every year including the flu shot we got back at end of october--BUT we will NOT be getting covid vaccine-not going to happen!!!
