Shingles near end of cycle

Well, first my case of shingles at the ripe age of 31! Had a very successful cycle end a few weeks ago and planned to start my post cycle in the coming days. Started to notice a nasty rash, which has been confirmed as shingles. Started on my torso and has now traveled to my back and chest.

Between the stress of moving cross country and my immune system likely out of wack due to hormonal shifts related to the cycle, can’t say I’m shocked. Anyone here experience shingles? I’m mostly concerned about adding clomid to the mix, as I’m not sure if it has the potential to worsen my current condition. Thanks in advance!

ive had shingles already too around the age of 32-33 ( im 40 now ), wasnt on cycle or anything .. just life hit hard and went through depression/stress which i was told can cause at an early age in some people.

i got it checked out the 2nd day .. it was very painful for me mainly over my arms .. and i believe i was just given oxy w/ tyenol.

as for dealing with it .. stay isolated, def get it checked out if you havent .. as for adding clomid .. i really dont know and dont want to comment on it clomid or any non OTC stuff .. sorry man but i rather get the dr advice on this one and be honest about it what you had taken and what you usually do

I had shingles at about 60, No Fun !!

Did you get a script for Valtrex? That should clear it up quickly.

Personal opinion here I would still run the full pct as planned. Another personal opinion here I would stop taking agmatine if you are taking that.

I have been hit with shingles at a young age of 33 and then again at 35 due to extreme life stressors.

Haven’t been to a doc yet, since I don’t currently have health insurance. Looking for work down here in Tennessee, so hopefully it doesn’t take too long. I considered going to urgent care and requesting an anti-viral as the cost without insurance shouldn’t be astronomical. So far just using a lidocaine topical. I’m really hoping once this clears up it’s a long while before I have another outbreak. I started Clomid & Optimize T yesterday, which hopefully doesn’t worsen the situation…

Understandable. Well eventually they will go away on there own. It just cuts the duration down by a lot when getting on the generic version of Valtrex.

I had it at 25yo. It can be more painful than people make it sound. Get some Valtrex ASAP. You can go to a walk-in clinic for a Rx and then use GoodRx when you get it filled (look online or on counters of pharmacy, even ask dr office for one of the cards- they aren’t that hard to find. The GoodRx discount is free and is often almost as good on out of pocket pricing as meds would be with insurance, occasionally it even makes meds cheaper than insurance would. The valtrex will knock those symptoms down pretty quick.

This is true GoodRX is just as good as has having a medial insurance prescription plan for many of the scripts and it’s a free program.

I didn't go to a Dr.
Calamine lotion helps.
But the best thing (by far) for me was Calamine spray (yes, it can be difficult to spray certain areas). The cooling effect, and analgesic in the spray (along with the drying of Calamine) helped a LOT.

I got it at the end of my first cycle too and then when i got over that i got covid , lost a LOAD of weight that took me a really long time to put on. Really knocked me back after years of hard work felt waisted. Only just getting intrested again now. Hope it won't be to hard on you
