Crazy blood pressure from a SARM?

Ive been lurking here for a while for information and about 3 weeks ago started LGD 4033 at 5ng a day since thats a frequently recommended first cycle. I bought capsules from a forum sponsor research chem site and it seemed to be going well with some strength and weight gain. A few days ago I had two massive nosebleeds and realized they might be caused by blood pressure. My pressure is normally an average 120/80 but this time I got 180/140! Of course I have stopped taking it and the pressure has gone down slightly since then.
How dangerous is this? Will it go back down on its own? and does this mean I got a bad product or that I gave a bad reaction to drugs?
 
Yes it’ll go back. Sarms suck ass when they’re real and if they work well they’re usually faked / spiked with something else. If this was caused because of what you’re taking it should go back to normal within days / weeks maximum. Otherwise it’s something else.
 
Taking cialis daily can help I like sarms in injectable form but the risk/reward ratio is better with steroids. Lots of blood work posted where sarms wreck lipids as well.
 
Thanks guys. Spiked product does seem likely based on other stuff I have read too. For now this really makes the risk to reward not worth it, just hope the PCT is good. Im going to be happy with my intermediate lifts for at least a few months and maybe try injectable test at some point.

LGD gave me high blood pressure as well. Puts on a lot of water weight, and messes with your electrolytes.
 
Not sure why people are still surprised when sarms have side effects like this (not aiming this at you OP, it’s a general observation).

sarms pretty much have all the same sides we get from proper steroids but typically with lower results 🤷

Blood pressure increases are common on lots of compounds, daily LISS cardio helps a lot, various other natural supps (fish oil etc) have some science suggesting they can help (it’s all worth taking) but I also like cialis, partly for BP. and partly because I enjoy the feeling that my cock is going to explode when whichever girl I’m with gets the slightest bit kinky 👌🍆👌

I second this, no board sponcers here are going to risk there reputation or there business with spiked products. Highly unlikely!

And 5mg is a baby dose, I know females that use 5-10mgs of lgd.

So A. You just responded really bad to lgd

Or B. There's something else causing the BP issues

Or the worst, C: he will respond to most AAS/SARMs that way in which case he should just never mess with them again.

There is a small group of people who are like that, it doesn't matterWhat they take, they seem to get all the negatives and none of the positives
 
It makes sense that someone spiking stuff wouldnt bring attention to themself here. For now Ill assume Im a bad responder and go check out the natural supplement forum.

Were there any other variables besides the lgd?
Supplements or stress related etc?
 
I was using tongkat ali and Dermacrine since those are supposed to manage the side effects from shutting down natural hormones I also sometimes take ashwaganda for stress plus vitamins, caffeine, and creatine. One possible problem is that I lack a liver enzyme which causes a bad reaction to alcohol. I didnt expect a problem because its a common thing especially in Asians but LGD isnt well tested.

I also think that hormones were suppressed a lot in that two weeks because my package is noticeably smaller than before among other male problems. Hopefully this thread can at least discourage aomeone else from falling for SARM marketing.

Its tough because lgd is probably the only sarm I really like, I don't get any side effects from it at all. I personally like the injectable version better.

But in general, other then acne, I don't get many if any side effects from anything. I've been on trt for 2 years straight and a few cycles in-between and I don't even get testicular shrinkage in the slightest bit. I have no clue why, but even my biggest cycle which was 1000mg a week of total gear I had no signs of shutdown, just bad acne
 
There’s a number of on cycle supports that many people run to mitigate BP among other things….Are you using any?

If his BP spiked to 180 then nothing other then a strong blood pressure medication is going to keep him in range on whatever caused the spike.
 
180/140 is crazy high, like up there with the most extreme I've ever seen.

I'm curious how many times it was checked and what time of the day it was. And what he did before he checked it. Because anything over 180/120 is malignant hypertension and that's where organ failure occurs.

Actually, now that I think of it if you tested that high they would have admitted you and immediately put you on medication and under close supervision

You also said the pressure only went down slightly. If your bp was hanging out in that range for any extended period of time you'd be going into organ failure or dead
 
I didnt expect blood pressure to be a problem so no drugs on hand. I bought some COQ10 and hawthorne friday but the effect was small if anything. I dont see a safe way to conrol blood pressure that much.

True…..honestly anabolics probably aren’t the right move for the guy…
 
So... you guys scared me into going to the ER. Turns out I was reading the cuff a bit high and Im "only" at 163/90. Fortunately the doctor was understanding of my panic and I wasnt charged. I should be fine as long as it goes down soon. I am never touching gear again though if weak stuff does this to me.

Its weird because as a natural my genetics seem pretty good. Lifts progress well normally and I have great endurance for long, frequent workouts. I thought that meant a little gear would go a long way. Very dissapointing.

Genetics can mean so many things, there's genetics for symmetry, genetics for building muscle, genetic response to steroids and side effects.

So even though a natural with great genetics for building muscle. They might not have a good genetic response to growing on gear or handling the side effects.

When you come across someone has good genetics for all of the things listed above is when you end up with a Mr Olympia guy

Make sure you explain to your buddies that you discovered that’s not the case. I see a lot of young guys at the commercial gym since I’m in a college town and they often are misled to believing this kind of hype. Being a good natural responder doesn’t mean you can take gear and get a lot out of it.

I’m honestly pretty bad on the genetic totem pole for strength. But I respond pretty decently to drugs. I get a lot of the sides, but I get solid results too for the doses. My natural recoverability and things that really matter for strength like joint thickness, limb length and injury resilience are probably subpar, but with drugs I can get the results I am after while getting away with less training frequency or intensity so I can still properly recover.

The best natural lifters have good resilience and recoverability, and reasonable response to their training stimulus, so they can train hard more often and THAT is where the gains are made: frequency and intensity. If you can train hard fairly often and get away with it, do so.

This all takes a long time, with or without drugs. Enjoy the road, because it’s a long & winding one.

If there's anything I have really good genetics for it's recovery. someone who sleeps 5-6hours a night, lifts 5 days a week, does some boxing and works manual labor should be constantly cheating around the edge of overtraining. But it doesn't seem to affect me too much. I'm sure if I slept more and didn't work a manual labor job I could make a little more progress. But all in all I genuinely feel pretty good all the time. Even with all the nagging injuries I've had over the years, none of them were ever really from the gym, they were always from playing sports or doing stupid s*** back when I was drinking
 
I go to a college town gym and a lot of people there are already on gear so not sure if my experience will change anyone's decision.

For training I do a 6 day PPL and that gives me much better results than less frequent workouts or a bro split. I have also responded well to Bulbine (natural test booster). One problem I was hoping the sarm would solve us that my legs are way better than upper body. I PRd a 405 squat and 255 bench in the same week At least being short makes my natty muscles look bigger so maybe with that and the endurance I can still reach my goal.

Not that I want to encourage experimenting with drugs but just had to point out that, if my view on all AAS etc was based entirely on the one compound I had shitty sides from, I'd never have done AAS again. Which kinda sux, cos I enjoy most of them.

To borrow from @Whisky, you wouldn't want to base your opinion of all hookers solely on the one who refuses to sh1t on your face and give your prostate a tickle nomsayin

That’s a completely normal number disparity in the powerlifts for a guy who has been doing them for some years. It is extremely common when a young man begins doing the big lifts for his squat and deadlift to virtually explode by comparison to the rate of progress for his bench, unless he is just naturally built to bench big (the minority). The lower body muscles develop faster because the overall loads are greater, they’re bigger, and newer lifters can train them with higher relative intensities more frequently than when they get older and more beat up.

If you squat 400 and gain 1% strength, you can now squat 404. If you bench 250 and improve at the same rate, your bench only goes up 2.5lbs. Plus, bench is the lift probably most responsive to weight gain, muscle size increase, and drug use. It takes time to build and mature those smaller upper body muscles, many years of hard work, much more than legs.

All the guys I trained with when we were in early/mid 20s, natty or not, including myself all deadlifted 500 before benching 300. Most even squat 500 before that (I got my first 500 squat same meet I finally benched 300). Only training partners who had been bros for years already before powerlifting did otherwise.

Also, I wont be able to resist trying again with drugs at some point. Maybe if my liver is the problem then testosterone would work since its not toxic at all. There would have to be a good blood pressure supplement on hand and daily checks though. It seems like you can necer do too much research with this stuff. I will try some non-steroid stuff too. L-carnitane is supposed to help upper body gains and cialis sounds fun although I know of someone who got brain damage from drinking too close to a dose of it.

Order a decent blood pressure monitor and appropriately sized arm cuff (you might need a large or xl version compared to what comes standard with it) on Amazon. It should be something quality, give or take $100 so it will be accurate and last. Then you can take it any time at home. This is a must for responsible use.

When the time comes, consider testosterone. Use propionate for a shorter cycle that you can discontinue very quickly if you have awful sides. You will need to inject every other day at a minimum, and prop can sting more than a long ester like enanthate or cypionate, but the short half-life means it will be at full levels immediately instead of having to build up, and it clears for PCT in just a couple days. Testosterone is ideal because you will need it longterm likely if you cycle, so best to try it out first. Remember, steroids tend to be a longterm commitment/lifestyle, so do not take them lightly. They can have lasting health consequences! You don’t have to use them.

I would also have Blood Pressure Support XT from SNS and Carditone from Ayush Herbs on hand for bp issues (in addition to Exemestane for an AI and Tamoxifen for PCT and/or gyno).

My blood pressure shot up to same as yours , higher sometimes. It goes back down. For me what was most concerting is, even though I am a vegetarian and rarely eats any cheese, my LDL cholesterol went up to 165 and HDL dropped to 20.

I eat a **** ton of meat and cheese and my cholesterol is always great, makes you wonder.

To be fair I do a lot of cardio

Same here but need to step up my cardio. I usually get about three good cardio sessions a week. Need to aim for 5.

I run 3.1 miles 2x week at a steady jog pace, take about 30min for the 3miles and 4-5x week I'm in the boxing gym for about 1.5 hrs where I'm either doing a mix of weights and bag work, sparring or a full on training session where your warming up for 20-30min jumping rope or shadow boxing or both, then usually doing drills or mits. Today (in about a hour) I'm putting a couple guys through some wrestling and ground game drills so il be wrestling with them for a hour or so. And my job isint cardio but it's a lot of steps and up and down ladders all day.

Overall I do about 6-8 hours a week of moderate pace to high intensity cardio on top of 2 runs- jogs and my steps. The boxing workouts your literally soaked to your socks, no ac in the boxing gym either lol, just a roll up door and a industrial fan lol
