For people looking for TUDCA, I always caution to be very careful and buy from a trusted brand that tests every batch of raw materials. There are a lot of materials out there that the purity level isn't what its supposed to be or that has other things mixed with it to reduce costs. And some brands that just straight out lie - like you'll see some brands you've never heard of pop up on Amazon and claim to sell TUDCA caps for less than they actually cost to make if you factor in the Amazon fees.
there are dozens of things that work on a microscopic scale. that doesn't mean it extrapolates to muscle growth or performance. I am not aware of a single person who has ever came on here and claimed to have gotten muscle gains from liver protective supplements.

When prohormones got popular almost 20 years ago, Liv52 was one of the first liver care products to come out that was promoted to go with them. The exclusive distributor for that company at the time promoted the product to brick and mortars (still the big thing back then 20 years ago) as helping protect the liver AND increase the effectiveness of the ph's. So a lot of them then used it as a sales pitch to customers.
So a lot of the older generation (as you call it haha) was sold this product y being told it would help their anabolics/ph's work better. So put that in perspective - they weren't generally just taking Liv52; and they probably really did or still do believe it helped those other products work better.
But there is nothing in there that is going to lead to muscle growth to a noticeable degree. I could go into a big time sales pitch with Liver Assist XT's ingredients and make it sound really cool and tout muscle building, anti-inflammatory, and recovery properties but that's just not me. I steer clear of the overexaggerating stuff like that and just sell it as what it is, a great liver support supplement that contains some ingredients that do provide a lot of other benefits as well. One thing thats not an exaggeration is to say that from the standpoint of containing researched ingredients at their efficacious doses, Liver Assist XT is a much superior product.
