Does Enclomephine cause permanent or long term issues?

Currently prescribed Emnclomiphene and getting off TRT for a bit for Fertility reasons. 25mg every day for 6 weeks. Ive read that it blocks estrogen in areas of the brain. I know estrogen is very neuroprotective and beneficial for many cognitive actions. Im hoping this wont cause long term or permanent damage.

I can’t find anything on longterm enclomiphene, but we do know it is safer & lower sides than traditional Clomid. Here is a retroactive assessment of long term use of regular clomid, from 0 to 84 months looking at 400 men (120 of which used for over 3 years).

Of the 120 guys using over 3 years, 5(FIVE) reported significant changes in mood.

So, on the grounds that you are using a lower side drug & for a shorter duration, your odds of mood change would theoretically be lower than that ~4% we saw reported on full clomiphene.

And anecdotally, I have used Clomid many times and the mood changes always stop almost immediately upon cessation of the drug.

I'd assume you should not have long term issues, unless you are a side effect outlier. Enclomiphene has a very short half life compared to other SERMs meaning is should have a lower side effect profile.

You won’t know if you get sides before you use it, I always feel great on Clomid, I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

Its only 6 weeks you will be fine. There are guys who take it indefinitely for hypogonadism

Many long term studies show it to be safe but its not something i would take more than a few months

Clomid consists of 62% of Enclomifene and 38% of Zuclomifene. It's the Zuclomifene typically giving the mood issues. So if you were fine on Clomid, you should be fine on Enclomifene.

I second this anecdotally regarding serms. Although I have only used Tamoxifen, it gives me some mood sides, but they disappear after cessation.

Btw after 8 weeks of Clomid I was making babies from being completely shut down, I don’t know enough about Enclomiphene but I can vouch for Clomid if you want babies.

That’s how I was before I started the Clomid (and got off test), I also used a small amount of HCG the first 4 weeks.

I mean, if your only going on it temporarily for fertility purpose, it's probably not going to be long term use, I'm assuming once the job is done you go back on trt. So is long term sides even a issue?

Depending on the dosage, clomid can possibly tank your IGF-1 levels.

Will they come up after discontinuing?
It should; it should also recover somewhat if you adjust the dosage. My experience is that 50mg/day dropped my IGF-1 by 30%, despite being on a cjc-ipamorelin(no dac) protocol, too. But 50mg/day(as was initially prescribed) is too high. New dosage is 25mg EOD, along with an Anastrozole protocol. Self-medicating a new cjc(with dac) hGH peptide protocol to bolster IGF-1. I will see what the new levels are in 3-4 weeks with a new lab.

Unfortunately, I was prescribed 25 mg capsules so I can’t cut them in half

50mg ed for the first 2 weeks, then 25mg for the next 6-8 weeks. If you have real pharmaceutical Clomid you don’t need as much as ppl think.
I have pharma enclomiphene 25 mg capsules (so I cant cut them in half unfortunately).

Considering running 4 weeks, but now im thinking 6

Just take eod. This is common in Clomid studies after doing 25mg daily for a while.

If the reason is to make babies I would run it as long as it takes but I would recommend to run it at least 8 weeks. 25mg caps is perfect, I wouldn’t run it lower and just double up for the first week or 2 and then keep it at 25. I know it’s stressful when you want but can’t make babies but hang in there, you got this!

Few questions for you,
1)I’m taking and enclomiphene not clomiphene 25 mg a day still seem sufficient?

Also what symptoms did you have? And did they go away after discontinuing?

It should be about the same. What symptoms are you talking about?

Nope, it’s useless on cycle.
Interesting. Folk on popular reddit forums are posting up bloods quite regularly now having supposedly run enclo on their sarms cycles. Some of the results appear to show pretty much zero suppression from the introduction of enclo??

Now i am confused lol!

idk about SARMS since many of them is weak and useless as well but my Test level was 41 in my 7th week of Anavar with Clomid @25mg ed. So if you do a real cycle (with steroids) you should count on getting suppressed.

Yeah I thought it might be the case that sarms are weaker. Apparently Enclo is alot stronger than Clomid , that might come into play as well. Interesting thread.

Idk, supposedly Enclo is more effective but how much, if at all, is still up in the air. But in the end it won’t matter, you will still be shut down if you use real PED’s to some degree, depending on what you using.

Enclomiphene half life is only 6 hours. Eod might not be beneficial
My bad; I posted that knee jerk thinking Clomid because I read too quickly jumping back into this sub!

The thing to consider for anyone trying that method is - how long do you expect to get meaningful results from low dose SARMs? Or a bit of var only? Doses only go up in this game, off-time gets shorter & shorter, until it’s eventually it’s just blast & cruise - or many end up on TRT anyway. No free lunches playing God over your endocrine system.

Just food for thought; don’t want to derail this further.
