Here's the thing, it is you, the people NOT affected by those things who are telling others how THEY should feel about how their parents and grandparents were treated.

By the same token, if a parent loses a child, then in 50+ years when they find themselves upset about it, will you just say "get over it, it happened 50 years ago?"

People have a right to respond how they feel fit and have a right to not be told how they should feel by people who were not themselves impacted in any way.

Your thought process also neglects that people are STILL fighting an oppressive system.

When was the last time a cop pulled you over for no reason and told you you should be scared to get out of the car, despite that being the order? On April 10, 2021 that's exactly what happened to a Black Army lieutenant.
With all due respect, no - I am not telling anyone how they should feel about anything. You statement is BS, and it is wrong. My statement was about ME, and also a suggestion (based on my experience) about what tends to work best, in my opinion.

I have lost a family member (four, in fact). Yes, I hated it, but I learned to deal with it. The other option was to let it consume me and live a life tormented by something I could never change. Getting over it (for me) was better.

So, please take the chip on your shoulder and attack someone else. To avoid doubt, feel free to lament what happened 53 years ago, 53 months ago or 153 years ago. That is your right. That is up to you.

But do not tell me what I am doing, especially when you are wrong. If that is what you think I was doing, you had the right to ask me, but you do not have the right to tell me what I was doing or to assign motives to anything I have written.

Enjoy brooding over every perceived injustice. I hope that works out well for you.

You cannot pretend to have the moral high ground when on the page previous to that you were disrespectful.

This whole thread is about how people feel injustices by one thing or another - in fact many times it has been stated that the election was stolen yet God forbid someone actually mention something that actually happened, and is still happening.

I don't have to lament something that did not happen to me, but I can listen to those whose lives it does impact.

Well I for one am fed up to the brim with the racism word. That word should actually mean something. It should be repulsive. It should be almost as bad as being called a pedo. But leave it to the left to call everything racist and completely water down the word to the point it is now meaningless. I hope you know that is all you are accomplishing. And I think it’s that which makes me more angry. I am not about to compare interactions with cops and black law breakers with the views of normal working Americans who quite frankly don’t give a **** what color your skin is.
How is picking up trash outside your house consider law breaking?

How is driving your car and displaying a temp plate law breaking?

In b4 not all cops and that is not the norm

I dont talk BS, here are the stats. New Zeleand has almost 5 million on population and less than 15k black people live there. Im am very sure most of the population would never vote a black person to be there leader. I did in 2007, but slavery somehow is my fault, wtf?

Only 13,464 people of African ethnicity were counted in the 2013 Census, just 0.3 per cent of New Zealanders. Sub-groups included 1617 Somalis, 1245 Ethiopians and 243 Eritreans, who all came here mainly as refugees from civil wars, many without husbands or fathers.
Last I checked, we didn't drag people from their homes in Africa ;)

But you could look up how many people from the Islands and of Maori descent there are, because that is actually relevant here.

We didnt either. But if your talking about people from 150 years ago who are all dead now anyways, Americans did not drag Africans out of their homes in Africa and bought them here. They purchased them from other black entrepreneur Africans in Africa who then bought them to the boats, but BLM isnt asking their own kind for repartitions.

Might I suggest laying off the news consumption. Surely you know that sensationalism sells advertisements. I don’t pretend to know all the problems nor do I care. It’s not widespread, it’s not happening everywhere. Police have dirt bags working for them like any other job on this planet. I will go with what 99.9% of people here experience about racial injustice...which is nothing at all.

I’m sorry but isn’t New Zealand part of the British commonwealth? Wasn’t Britain heavily involved in the slave trade?

It doesnt seem like NZ is open to taking in millions of more refugees, which I dont see why not barely anybody lives there....or maybe its because NZ is to much of a racist society to accept these people.

Racism in New Zealand runs deep

When American doctor Satra Browne came to work in NZ, she thought she was leaving the cultural baggage of racism behind. Here she speaks of how the rose-coloured glasses she was issued on arrival have been pried off.
............................
Fast forward a few years. I first arrived in New Zealand because of my profession. I came to fill a doctor shortage, but also on a journey of self- discovery. I hoped to leave behind the cultural baggage of racism that I’d carried most of my life where it belonged – in the States. Here, there seemed to be freedom. The favorite team was called All Blacks. The national anthem was sung in te reo Māori as well as English. I even got asked for directions by old white men, something that never happened in the US. I heard New Zealanders repeat a mantra: “There’s no racism in New Zealand.” I was given a pair of rose-coloured glasses. I put them on and clung tightly.

But soon, my new reality became clearer, and boy have my glasses been pried off. I’ve been called n*gger in New Zealand not only by my patients, but also by a fellow doctor colleague, supposedly in jest. In and out of the hospital, I constantly hear blatant ignorance: “You can’t put a comb through your hair” or “I know where you’re from ... Rwanda”. No questions, just statements.

Sadly, it’s important to note that such blithe racism isn’t limited only to me. I’ve had a trainee tell me they were chosen to present a case by a senior consultant doctor reciting “Eenie, meenie, miney, mo ... catch a n*gger by the toe” so that it landed on her - the brown student. A Māori colleague is regularly asked if he’s the orderly, despite wearing a uniform and ID that both say 'doctor'. An Indian friend gets told by a prospective landlord that his Thai wife can’t cook her smelly food, despite being accepted to pay the costly rent.

I am saddened, but not surprised, by your answer.

I am going to point out that your reading comprehension, at least in my opinion, is not one of your skills. It appears that if you disagree with something I've written, you believe that the best course is to redefine it as something it is not. OK.

I've made comments about my own personal experience and well intended opinions based on that experience. You are free to incorrectly summarize that I claim to "have the moral high ground", yet my posts suggest nothing of the sort. I cannot make (and will make no attempt) to correct your errors.

And it was me that was disrespectful? That is truly hysterical. The proverbial pot seems to be calling the kettle out on this one. In my (never claimed to be moral high ground) opinion, your conclusions are both sad and delusional. I believe that is the way of the left and, if true, I needn't get mad at a giraffe for having a long neck.

I am done. I wish you well.

I will continue to post, but they will be directed at others. Although it won't be hard, I ask that you please ignore them and do not respond.

Here is the single most chicken crap thing that I will say. I am glad that Steve is associated with SNS. Only because of that will I continue to purchase their products.

If black on black crime, or black on white crime also got the same level of liberal outrage page after page... we might actually move toward true equality and harmony.

Or we can just call criminals criminals and stop worrying about what color they are and let’s applaud them when they take another dirtbag off the streets rather than worrying about how much pigment is in their skin. I’m living in a world where criminals are being turned into heroes for no other reason than being black while committing crimes.

They aren’t doing much to instill confidence in the vaccines 🤷🏼‍♂️

Johnson & Johnson Vaccinations Halt Across Country After Rare Clotting Cases Emerge

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2021/04/13/us/politics/johnson-johnson-vaccine-blood-clots-fda-cdc.amp.html

I say we just fuk all of it and never utter another word about the China virus. Why don’t we just pretend it doesn’t exist? We have shown we can do that with a rigged election..
of all the options i thought the J@J was the safest...still do.

just goes to show how little trust i have in hurry up and rush vaccines.

i just wonder in a few years if there will be a cover-up of symptoms, diseases from people getting these vaccines? i've already heard a rumor that sterility might be 1 effect of the covid vaccine--this would make bill gates happy.

The same thing happened to Astrazenishyt in Europe, there were bloodclots. I think that one is also similar old fashioned style like the JakNjAss version.

I don’t know, it sure is hard to trust anything these days. The vaccine(s) are far from ideal, but so is the response by the world to the virus on every level.

We got through the first waves, now it’s time to get back to life. “Herd immunity” through infection/vaccination or not. It’s gotten beyond obsessive and we just keep going around in fuking circles. So done..

The less talked about concern is that if blood clots are happening with both J&J and AstraZ... and neither of those are even the riskier MRNA type approach... then maybe the problem is with the vaccine itself (ALL of them) and bad consequences of tricking the body to react to covid by any method. Oooofa!

Yes, essentially risk of blood clots increases from contracting the China virus, as well as from eliciting a response through vaccine it appears. Which makes sense when you think about it...haha!

FWIW: We have had 3 people test positive months out from receiving the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. I believe mild illness or asymptomatic and were admitted for other reasons. If I cared more I would look into it more, but I don’t..

Yeah, still the same in the hospital too! Patients still get classified as official PUIs (Person Under Investigation) in isolation despite being vaccinated months ago if they meet certain criteria. Had several today. Literally nothing has changed.

For those tracking covid on a global scale.... the rest of the world is into a serious 4th wave.

204071

Places like Hungary, Bosnia, and Bulgaria have the equivalent of US 8-10k dead daily (proportional to our population size). Imagine that here!!

So in comparison, we are riding the latest variant-spike pretty well all things considered...

Open borders? Paying for people to live here illegally? That they can tax us enough to change the climate? That healthcare is a "right"? That we are guilty of various undefined terms (terms that are impossible to prove, or disprove) that are bad (you know, like white supremacy and systemic racism) that we have made a part of our nation's DNA? That communism is somehow a good and workable alternative? That there are not just two genders? That men can menstruate?

No, no one would be stupid enough to blindly accept thigs like that ....

Well I’m counting on this summer being like last summer. As in low percentage of symptomatic cases/hospitalizations.

If this coming fall/early winter resembles anything like this year in the hospital, I’m going to lose my shyt. I’ve already lost most of it..

They were really banking on these J&J and AstraZeneca single dose vaccines to more readily reach the masses. However, they obviously can’t keep pulling them midstream and then putting them back in circulation no matter how skepitical anybody has or hasn’t been from the start. It’s going to be a tough sell.

Honestly, I’m a bit surprised that there haven’t been efforts to silence the adverse events...

What a friggin mess!

HHHhhhmmmm.....didnt hear much about this watching the news today, but I didnt watch much at all. CiaNN makes no mention of this on their main front page, but New York Post did.
--------------------

(New York Post) Daunte Wright had an open warrant related to an armed-robbery case against him when he was shot dead Sunday by a cop who claimed she thought she was firing her Taser, court records show.

Wright, 20, and another man had been charged with first-degree attempted aggravated robbery in December 2019 for allegedly trying to steal $820 from a woman at gunpoint, according to Hennepin County District Court documents.

The pair had crashed at the victim’s home in the city of Osseo after attending a party there –then demanded money the next morning while flashing a gun, authorities said in court papers.

“Give me the f–king money — I’m not playing around,” Wright told the woman, according to prosecutors.

The victim refused and began screaming for both men to leave, records show.

“Give me the money, and we will leave,” Wright allegedly told her. “Give me the money, and we will go.”

The two men eventually left the home without any dough, according to documents.

Wright was later arrested in the case and released on $100,000 bail. But he violated his bail conditions in July when he failed to stay in touch with his court monitor, the papers said.

According to the Daily Mail, he also was in possession of a gun at some point after his arrest for the robbery, which was also in violation of the condition of his bail release.

The case was still pending when police in Brooklyn Center pulled Wright over Sunday for having an expired registration on his car.

Police said the officers then determined Wright had an outstanding warrant related to his bail violations and sought to arrest him — but he broke away and got back in the car.
