TD Application Tips

I'm new to the transdermal game for the most part. Please share things that make TD applications more effective and easier.

Anyone know of a good application tool? Should be like a round pad or something with no fingers to get stuff caught between. I have a spray bottle but I don't think it mists enough to not rub in

Disposable gloves would be the best tool.
The same dexterity as your hand.
 
just buy some sandwich baggies, works very well and cheap as hell.

in winter use a hair dryer to speed drying time...in summer stand in front of or under a fan.

although not absolutely necessary applying after a hot shower is best....i like using transdermals as a after shave and will apply to neck after shaving...i have a hairy chest and will shave chest and shoulders once a week.

I use disposable vinyl gloves and you still lose some in transfer. Ideally you only use your palms because your fingers get extra caught in them.

Hot shower. Dry off. Nitrile Gloves. Stand in front of a fan, 5-10 mins (some TD's

Nitrile is superior. You won't lose any in transfer.

I usually apply to the area, and then spread/rub in more thoroughly with an index finger. Although gloves or baggies are better.

Also, using a loofa or some some other sort of scrubber to exfoliate the area while showering helps, then after drying the area, and then applying the TD - wait until the TD dries, and then apply a lotion (studies shows that doing so may increase absorption by about 15%). Some of us also use DMSO pre application (some post-application).

anyone ever see people cover their cream application sites with a plastic wrap to prevent evaporation? Is this bad/good/pointless with the serum style stuff like epichaos/Helios/Invictus? I also kind of want to cover the application sites because my GF won't stop touching them on accident

that was popular way back in the day when people used to put stuff like preperation h or icy hot on stomach and wrap in seran wrap for increased themo...yes, preperation h was actually used to 'shrink' stomach!!!

applying a wrap over transdermals might be a double edged sword...on one hand it would prevent transferance, on the other hand the increased sweating might prevent proper absorption?...btw-none of the trandermals you listed are hormonal and the very slight transferance to your gf shouldn't really be a issue, imo....

Haha. Yep, some of the thicker boys I served with in the Army did this to make tape if they were overweight.

Lot of great advice in here. I’d only add rotating application sites. Well, and trying shins and tops of feet to help avoid transference.

Ah ya I'm not so worried about her getting a dose. I'm just greedy and want it all. Also she prob gonna get it all over my Xbox controller

I noticed my hips and biceps have really thin skin too. I'm guessing it's different for everyone. Do you just do a pinch test to see how thicc the skin is?

I’m relatively new to regular TD use so I honestly just go with what the good folks here suggest. I do think that everyone is a little different depending on body fat and where they carry it, so some people can probably apply to more/less areas based on that.
 
I was using a pair of thick rubber "chemical gloves" that are reusable. They're like dishwashing gloves. I'll be grabbing another pair for my next run that'll start tomorrow morning!

Added bonus: I feel like a mad scientist when I'm wearing them. Or maybe Tyler Durden...Invalid Link Removed

Shin applications have been going really well. Seems really effective for me. I do have a huge vein on the front of my left shin tho. Thinking about waxing my shins/calves for TD

Waxing is probably not strictly necessary but running the old wahl with a 2 or 3 guard might be a good idea if your legs get as wooly as mine do.
 
I use the sammich bags too because I’m cheap like that. I was looking at this small trash can in my basement with so many used TD bags, just waiting for my wife to see it and get suspicious that it’s some weird new fetish I’m hiding from her.
