Among other bullshyt, it’s a push for Americans and the world to move more toward hybrid vehicles. I’m not against them per se, but the technology is just now getting more widespread among vehicles people would actually want to drive. Of course it also comes at a cost that many people aren’t ready to afford.

I worked on a case where the adults had an enforcement order against them for owning animals (due to constant neglect) and an enforcement order against them telling them how to parent (the legal document had things like "the children must be showered and fed properly" etc).

What parents did back in the day would be considered child abuse today. I lived in a smoking house, rode in the bed of the truck everywhere, rode bikes and motorcycles without a helmet on, drove the car underage, picked up booze from the store for my parents (Germany is a wonderful place lol), sometimes partaking in the booze. Ahhh the good ole days when people weren’t a bunch of fucking pussies.

Yes, other actions by parents are worse, but I don’t recall any political commentator actually saying any of them were fine, do you?
Something more scary happening today is this idea that parents are making their children gender neutral, pushing kids to adopt another gender, coddling deviant behavior at a young age, teaching them that it’s ok to be something other than what they were born as. Then they grow up with mental problems and hurt themselves, commit suicide, mask their mental problems with drugs, and etc. This sick behavior is being pushed by politicians, educators, liberals, media, Hollywood, social media, and more that I am probably leaving out.
Yeah, in my layman opinion, no one should even really be concerned with the gender and sexual identify until they’ve gone through puberty. Especially to the point of medical intervention.
I have zero issues with adults doing what they want to do. Zero. Live and let live. Leave the kids alone though. These kids are over sexualized at far too young of an age. Times have changed so fast about this stuff and I fear it’s only getting worse. I just really wish someone’s sexuality isn’t some sort of accomplishment. Gay or straight. If that’s your defining trait, then you have serious issues in my opinion.
That is very fair. If someone grows up to be gay or straight, neither one makes them any better or any worse. And as you said, if who gets you hard is your defining characteristic, that’s kind of sad. I think people are trying to swing the pendulum back from past decades, where being gay was very frowned upon and lead to people being bullied, and sometimes the pendulum swings too far in the other direction. But with any luck, the pendulum will swing to the middle, balance, where no one cares at all about someone’s sexuality so long as it’s between consenting adults. I think some people are pushing back super hard from when people had conversation therapy for gay people and people thought they had to keep their homosexuality secret for fear of being treated differently. That doesn’t mean that the extent some people take it too is good, but I think that’s where some of them are coming from. Trying to make up for past mistakes, but sometimes taking it too far.

I’ve actually never met a gay couple who demands that straight couples be replaced by gay couples in media. Most of them just want equal rights under the law as straight couples. You know, actual problems they face without having to make up new ones. A lot of times it seems to be straight white people who play the role of professional offended savior who knows what’s best for everyone. Sort of a white savior complex, where they speak out for minorities and tell them what they should be offended about, which is itself incredibly offensive.
Yep. We are friends with a ton of gay individuals and couples- never once have any of them come close to the **** we see on television getting hurt over everything and trying to create problems- it is usually the white, straight, middle class folks driving some agenda. At least in my experience.
