Strong Supplements Locker Room Talk

Definitely going to smash, but I lay out some rules of engagement so I can enjoy the family time without setting back my diet. I’ll train lower body in the morning, not eat all the snacks set out while we visit waiting for the food to cook (most of that is boring stuff to me and just mindless crackers n such), and will only eat a plate of dessert - not 5 pieces! And no liquid calories.

It helps going to family because then there’s no leftovers to mess up with. Makes it a 2,000 cal meal instead of 4,000 and I get the full experience with everyone.

Yeah I might implement this. If I start too early it can go downhill quick but if I can fast until mid/late afternoon then I can only fit so much in. Also agree on the no liquid calories... unless there is egg nog. Can’t stop myself lol

most of the year that is my plan also-eat what i want but in moderation...forget that on thanksgiving though, time to splurge!!!

Yeah it’s definitely a time to have fun and splurge. With age ( and I know you guys are young still) comes wisdom. You guys definitely have the right outlook! @thebigt @rocket3015

A little different question?

Who will still get a workout in on Thanksgiving Day ?

Will it be a Quickie, Normal or I got Extra time today so I'm going All Out ??

I plan on hitting my “Annual Thanksgiving Eve Workout”

I take Thanksgiving off.

Back to regularly scheduled programming (lifting lol) Friday night. Simple.

Plus gyms’ only open until 1pm on Thanks... and I’m not a morning person

I will be doing my Normal Workout, plus a little extra Core Work.

I've got extra time. We're not doing the normal get together this year so with the day off work I will be working out longer than usual :)

I like the way you think !!

Yeah I’ll probably get a quick pump in mid morning before we go to my sisters I workout at home so it’s not too bad. I’m not an early morning person either @Rad83.....I Can’t get up at 4:30am and workout before the day starts.... that’s crazy talk to me

thanksgiving is a off day for me...with all the work i put in all year long taking a day off to indulge myself and spend time with family isn't going to hurt me any in the long run--it's one freaking day for gosh sakes, lol.

I hope nobody really believes 1 off day makes a difference. If they do, they are wrong! Lol I have 2 off days per week currently, usually 3.

It just so happens that Thursday is a training day for me right now, the gym is still open for me to train at 7am like usual that day, and I don’t have anywhere to be until 2pm - so I am lifting lol

With coronavirus shutting everything down they might just want to give people as much time as possible. And I know how you feel about that and I am right there with ya. Just keep the workouts going for peoples mental sanity

i am old school and remember the days when cities looked like ghost towns on thanksgiving and christmas-i was thinking of the employees.

Those college kids at the desk don’t give a damn, as long as they have their wifi!
lol...at least they have their priorities straight...

i am very grateful my kids did not turn out that way!!!

I feel like it’s a must for me... a good bout of (some kind) exercise before the FEAST. Hockey, football, gym, any combo all works for me

I tried the appletini flavor and it was really good^ flavoring for all products have come a long long way the last 10 years and are only getting better.

APS products are always on point for flavoring in my opinion!

I need to start running. I have never ever been a “runner” in my life. Might be nice to change it up

i've been running since high school football and tennis training....i've had to stop on several occasions in my life for various reasons, and starting back is always tough...but running is the best thing i do for my overall fitness and health, strength training is important also, but not as vital to my goals as a older guy as it was as a younger man.

I run one 5k race about thirty years ago, one and done never ran again. Now I can't my knee's won't take it !

Same here! I'm not a runner but I really need to become one :ROFLMAO:

I don’t enjoy running or most cardio, but I really do respect the folks who can take their respective sports/exercises to extremes. Iron men and cross country runners, etc. People who hike the entire Appalachian Trail and such. Takes a lot more time investment than weight training, that’s for sure!

i am a advocate for getting up off the couch and doing anything involving working up a sweat...but i honestly believe adding in cardio to weight training bumps up overall health and life expectancy versus weight training only.....the older i get the more beneficial i believe cardio to be for health and fitness, at least for me!!!

That's a lot of miles. About 30 miles a day on average per year.
