I hear you and agree. I just always cringe when I read that we invaded for nothing and there was no weapons of mass destruction. Whether us doing so was right or wrong is debatable, and frankly I have very mixed feelings, but to say there was nothing there? Nope. That dude was fucking evil. The difference between his evil and chinas evil is he made no attempt to disguise or hide it.

They can be, but they can also be considered as a self defensive deterrent.

Its kinda like the guns argument, its not gun who kills, its the people.

But now you have people with these dangerous weapons in unstable regions that have had the west since the time of the British Empire create civil wars, have had oil and resources ripped from them, have had dictators assassinated only to be replaced by other dictators,

Its a big mess. I just want to worry about the USA, still have the most powerful military in the universe and let other countries worry about their own problem. Call and talk to them, once they get addicted to the green from trade and new comforts of modernization they will become less of a threat.

Well, the real beauty is you could be healthy, go for a test, get infected at a testing site, still have a clean test, get on a plane thinking you are gtg and infect a plateful of people. Accept most of them also got infected at the hospital getting their test to get on the plane.

I wouldnt say they had "nothing"...

In regards to chemical weapons it is my understanding the US Government gave Saddam the chemicals to attack Iran in the late 80s in the first place.

Its all crazy fuqed up world. Its just like Korea, it was under Clinton I believe we have North Koreans nuclear tech as another popular example.
 
Interesting side note: Biden just announced that he will put a man who has said, "Every life matters" to run his Covid team. Of course, he was fired by Trump because he was incompetent, this covid response is going to be excellent.

She should be more specific in terms of what reaching out to Trump supporters actually means. She condemns us with claims that explain themselves to a T (as usual), and then suggests that we are going to unify.

I still don’t even know what those empty words even mean. What actions are going to create a sense of unity when we hold a completely different set of priorities and values?

I know Ive said this before and Ill say it again, I blame all the problems on our policy makers. I love my military, they are enlisted to take orders and give their lives for their country and almost all of them do it with professionalism and class. Its because of them that I can vent my honest opinions without the fear of getting a door knock with my face smashed on the floor.

LOL Being a registered Libertarian now this year Im sure Im on the list lol

Im doing everything with gun ownership on the books. There are a few stupid cosmetic things Im oppressed in doing so such as adding a pistol grip to my semi-Ruger 10/22, and other things but it is what it is. I dont think Id ever have any problems at all as long as I stick to the books.

I stay away from those groups, although I do fully support the rights of militia's as a natural born right recognized in the Bill of Rights.

Me I stick to my community club....last weekend I had a great time talking to a retired NYPD officer who is a member there, he was feeding me his wisdom on gun handling and safety. I dunno, for me it cant be and better than that.

He showed me his handgun that was issued to him when they moved away from revolvers, in the 90s I think he said. I was like, wow thats cool they let you keep your gun!!! He then laughed out loud, he said "no, they didnt let me keep it, they charged me for it!!!!"

Sometimes you gotta watch taking gun advise from cops. (No offense @sammpedd88) I’ve been to the qualification course with them several times...that was eye opening to say the least lol. Lot of gun guys in the ranks, but an equal amount of the opposite. And yeah they get to buy their guns when they get new ones.

Thanks! Ill be sure to keep a cautious ear and do my own homework afterwords. Meanwhile, when they talk to me again Ill do my best to be respectful for giving me their time.

Ive met a few various people from different fields in life there, I guess I can say Im getting alot of different perspectives the more I talk to people.

One thing Im noticing is gun culture is reminding me of the fitness culture. Alot of people think they are the experts with all the right answers!!! Not everyone but Im sure you can relate to what Im talking about.

I am getting more and more optimistic! I have to remain hopeful, I wasn’t wired to live in a Biden-Harris country.

Yes, it’s funny how people get tested and then they feel like they are somehow safer, or will remain negative as if they are temporarily immune or non-transmissible before an upcoming gathering or event. People forget that it just represents a moment in time, if it was even performed correctly. It’s a relatively harmless means of making people feel better though so whatever....haha!

None taken @dixonk. I was my agency’s range master/chief firearms instructor for almost 4 years until my promotion last year. I saw officers that I couldn’t believe were actually officers and some that had no desire to be above a qualifying score. So sad that some are like that. Then you’ve got about 5% that know what’s up and have the mentality of “train how you fight” but most of them are either SWAT, former SWAT are waiting on their time to tryout for SWAT. If my life depended on something you better bet I’d be the best I possibly could be at it but some have the mindset that an OIS will never happen to them.

In the fitness community we have bro science. In the gun world we have Fudds. Be weary of the fudds. They tend to think the 2A is for hunting Bambi with their thurty thurty. We can credit them with a lot of the anti gun legislation we have today, courtesy of the NRA.

That has been my observation regarding proficiency as well. A lot of departments give monthly training ammo and it is shocking how many officers don’t do anything with it. I think I have told the story here before, when my son was 13 years old I had him out at the PD range and they were doing their qualifications. My son shot in the 90 percentile of the officers out there and 7 of them failed that day. I was both proud and shocked at the same time. Sometimes I wish I don’t get to peek behind the curtain

Ill tell you what, in a few years once I have good overall knowledge about firearms and shooting and establish a stronger presense at this club, Ill be practicing my skillful means on what properly it means to be a good responsible 2A practitioner for sure! Especially with younger members that come in since Ill be able to influence them the most.

I tell it like this. My guns exist to make politicians afraid again. There should be so many in circulation and in so many hands that every decision they make it should be on the back of their mind when they are legislating. Obviously we have a long way to go. ALL gun laws are infringements, EVERY single one of them.

They are fun, there is art to them, they are tools, a lot of times they can be considered investments, they are collectible. I can go on and on about it. If you have kids they are a great bonding experience and heirlooms to pass down. My son used to come out and shoot with me every weekend, till I got him a truck, now he just chases pussy all day.
 
A proud moment was my daughter asking me for a gun last year for christmas. Gave her a Glock 43X to keep in her purse and got her a concealed carry class. Now she has taken a big interest in firearms which she liked to go shooting before but it wasn’t a passion or anything.

I did have the longtime club member puzzled as to why I need to use a scope if I dont go hunting. I told him I dont kill animals but if you want to bring me a turkey on the table Ill fully support you. "So, why you need a scope for?" .....I said, "BECAUSE ITS FREAKING FUN!!!!! I FIND GUNS TO BE PIECES OF FASCINATING ART, SHOOTING IS AN AMAZING CRAFT AND RECENTLY FELL IN LOVE WATCHING HICKOCK45 SHOOTING RANDOM GUNS AT FRUIT AND SODA ENJOYING HIMSELF LIKE A 8 YEAR OLD!"

I didnt say it in an offensive way, just made him get it and people around me laughed because they get it too.

Im holding back on my political views for now though and what the 2A means as I said a bit before, now is not the right time there, but I didnt lie to him about what I said.

In another discussion we were talking about advertising for the club and that same hunter said he wanted to avoid this gunshop because they had a big pro-2A sign in front of the store.....WWWTTTFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice guy though, but I dont think there was anything I could have said that would have benefited anything or anybody at that moment.

Wow! It’s amazing how the general thought is law enforcement should be the greatest shooters but it’s scary how that isn’t true! One of my favorite drills is the feel, eyes, finger drill by Travis Haley. He also calls it the venti 100. It helped me break down the fundamentals in a way that the lowest of the low could truly understand. In 3 years in a row I had zero officers not qualify out of nearly 300 officers and I contribute a lot of it to that one drill.

Im gonna look into that....I dont have a pistol license yet but I have a couple of high quality replica bb and airsoft guns I can train on, lol

I grew up around guns as a kid but my father would never ever let me shoot them. One time we were visiting his relative and he had to sons far younger than me and they were shooting what I think was a 22, they handed me the gun I did not hesitate to take it and shoot it......then my father saw and came and ripped the gun out of my hands.

Anyways, I was able to pull off 1 single shot and guess what, I was probably a 1/2" from the very center and closer than all of them with my first and only shot!!!!!

Another true story, 9th grade we did archery in gym class. Told the teacher I never shot an arrow before. Handed it to me and I shot a perfect bullseye, LOL He was pissed at me, he thought I lied to him!!!!

I dunno maybe I have something....but there is a reason I never got into guns, I ended up just hating them for personal reasons, lol!

Guns belong in the hands of kids, any parent reading this please familiarize your kids with guns!

i shoot at the legion, really blessed here in small town indiana, i go to krogers and every 3rd guy i see is wearing a military ballcap. the legion range here is top notch, and run by a former gysgt.

Even when I type Architects and Engineers I pull up the propaganda. It always used to give me the official Architects and Engineer videos of scientists and experts in various fields explain how the only possibility of its collapse was a controlled demolition and they explained it scientifically.

just like the splc estimate of 3000 white supremacists disappeared. @Jiigzz kept telling me he couldn't find it and i thought he was full of it until i looked and it was no longer anywhere to be found---it didn't meet the lefts agenda of blaming everything on white supremacists when a liberal group like splc said there were only 3000 in the entire US!!!
