The rate of change is also something you need to take into account. The same old arguments "oh but the ice age blah blah", yes literally noone is saying mass extinction events havent occurred before, but this time the rate of change is being accelerated by humans digging up carbon and pumping it back into the atmosphere. It's really not that difficult to understand, and we can literally use other planets in our solar system (Mars and Venus) as a guide for how different greenhouse effects can change the environment.

New Testament God is much, much different to old testament God. I'd wager the reason for the distinction is because he set out what he expected of us in the new testament.
In Roman's it also says:
"But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed."
So the wrath of God in the Old Testament comes over to the New, but focuses on his wrath, not the right of humans to impose their own wrath

In all honestly Conservatives I see around here in NY are more open minded to having discussions, caring and giving than Liberals. As a group they arent as religious as they used to be during the Bushy era. Bushy era they presented more as a hardcore christian group, now they have more of a casual feel to it. They have evolved for the better since.
