Been using Focus XT since its release. I'd say atleast 20+ tubs.

Looking to change it up a little, or for an extra pick me up mid day. So far I like the looks of Jacked Factorie's Cognisurge. Very affordable, but t's only 20 servings.

My usual stack is:
1 Scoop Focus-XT
25mg Ephedrine
500mg Rhodiola

Any particular preferences for ingredients?

Focus XT is great because there are lots of flavor options and the value is solid too. Most of the other options tend to be more expensive and/or less servings.

Some I've enjoyed:

-Controlled Labs Orange Brainwash: If you don't mind a little bit higher Theanine content this one is loaded with actives. So much so you could conceivably do half a serving + extra Caffeine if you need a bigger boost.

-Olympus Lyfestyle Grind: I used this at one scoop most of the time. This was one of the more energizing Nootropics I've used (it is 150mg Caffeine + 50m Dynamine per scoop). It actually hits me harder and works better than I anticipated at the single scoop.

Those are probably my two favorite next to Focus XT for powdered Nootropics right now.

Resolve’s choices are great.

You pointed out Cognisurge, and although it’s only 20 servings, it’s only $20 as well. It has an underrated profile IMO.

I know it isn't a powder, but if you have not tried Nootrol, give it a go!

Maybe @GNO can give you an idea if/when it’ll be there.

I know I was lucky to get my hands on it super early. It’s currently my weekend nootropic and when I need a bigger boost.

Drop a review or some feedback when you get it. I’ve been close to pulling the trigger on it so I’d appreciate it.
I just pulled the trigger on it as well. I've been a brainwash fan but this looks cool.

Semi-related, do any of you use Lion’s Mane as a stand-alone? Unsure on best company to go with. May just end up back with Peak02 at 2-4g/day, but wanted to see if y’all had a trusted company you go with for Lion’s Mane

Nootropics Depot is typically gold standard when it comes mushroom extracts.

Not a powder but at 3-4 caps Apollon Nutrition
Overtime is really good. It’s what I used when I took a break from Focus XT.

Yeah as valiant mentioned, ND is where it’s at for mushroom extracts. The 8:1 is good for a more targeted effect on cognition, so I stick with that. Haven’t used the whole fruiting body extract in a while, but still got good results with it.

have you tried focus xt with piracetam and/or noopept added? Everyone is different, but that is my favorite stack for effects with very few drawbacks.

Brainwash is nice too, a little more subtle for me than focus xt and is enhanced with a little extra caffeine.

I haven’t, but I believe a fair amount of people have used Focus XT with a ‘racetam. @Jiigzz may know more

I’ve tried their 2% and it was so good that I’m really looking forward to trying the 10%!

The 2% stacked really well with Berberine/milk thistle, polygala, and Cordyceps 10:1

What's the benefit on TA as a noot? Haven't heard that one before. Or is it more of just an energizer like ginseng and not necessarily a typical noot?

Not much of a traditional nootropic, however it has numerous benefits (stress/anxiety reduction, cortisol reduction) that can assist with cognition. A lot of the research is on LJ100, which is standardized I think for a min of 0.8% Eurycomanone.

Outside of nootropic benefits, it may be beneficial for lean body mass accrual through adaptogenic means. You can find a host of LJ100 studies, or a thread I created here: -is-worth-the-cost.303532/" class="link link--internal" rel="nofollow noopener">https://anabolicminds.com/community/threads/eurycoma-longifolia-–-why-lj100-is-worth-the-cost.303532/

Just had my first scoop of Olympus Lyfestyle Grind today, Al Cappuccino flavored. Taste was great, reminded me of Cafe Francais (powdered coffee with creamer, if anyone remembers that stuff) at one scoop just enough for a little pick me up mid-afternoon. I usually go to an energy drink (Bang, Merica, Celsius), but on days I want less caffeine I'll go with something like Focus XT. Grind will now be in my rotation!

What in the world is 'Brain Factor 7'?
This is from Brundel

BF7
"The Silkworm connection.
Silkworms are the larva of the silk moth, whose Latin name is Bombyx mori, which means “silkworm of the mulberry tree.” As you can imagine, the leaves of the mulberry tree are the preferred food of the worms.
As obvious as the second half of the name is, the first half also tells you quite a bit about this insect, as it is a primary producer of silk.
Cultivating silkworms for the production of raw silk has been practiced in China for more than 5,000 years.

While in the larvae stage, the silkworms create an insoluble protein known as silk fibroin. The fibroin is the structural center of
the raw silk the worms create to build their cocoon.

Researchers have found that if you take the silk fibroin and filter it, purify it and hydrolyze it—or break it down into its component amino acids—it has several medicinal and therapeutic benefits, primarily related to brain health. This purified silk fibroin is called Brain Factor-7 (BF-7) for short.

BRAIN FACTOR 7 (BF-7) has been shown to=

Increase IQ in normal healthy subjects.
Improve Learning
Improve Working memory
Improve attention
Increase reaction times
Is antioxidant
Reduces amyloid plaques
Reduces ROS (reactive oxygen species)
Prevents brain cell death
Improves concentration
Increases Brain circulation

""Previous studies indicate that BF-7 enhances learning and memory in normal and elderly individuals. Here, we evaluated whether milk containing BF-7 (BF-7 milk) could improve the brain function, with thirty normal university students (21 ± 1.2 years). Two versions of the Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test were used under double-blinded conditions to measure the efficacy of BF-7 milk on learning and memory, especially working memory and attention, and on mathematical ability. As a result, BF-7 milk improved the accuracy of the task more than 3-fold. Furthermore, BF-7 milk protected cultured neu-ronal cells from 3-hydroxykynurenine, a normal endogenous brain stress agent. These results indicate that BF-7 milk enhances memory, attention and mathematical ability in normal persons."

"INCREASED REACTION TIME AND TEST SCORE ACCURACY=
"Results showed that BF-7 reduced the response time by an average of 23% for the Color Trails Making Test. Moreover, BF-7 improved the accuracy of the task around twofold. The results reveal that BF-7 improves brain function for attention and cognitive flexibility"

"BRAIN ANTIOXIDANT-
"BF-7 play a role in the improvement of brain functions by removing oxidative stress, and provide therapeutic potential role of BF-7 to protect nervous system from oxidative damage."

GREATLY ENHANCED MEMORY.
"his results strongly represent that the BF-7 play effectively positive role in the improvement of brain function including learning and memory. Taken together, our results suggested that the BF-7 should be useful for developing strategies protecting nervous system and improving brain function.

In a study published in 2004, researchers divided 98 people between the ages of 19 and 64 into three groups.6 One group received 200 mg of BF-7, the second group took 400 mg of BF-7 and the third group had a placebo every day for three weeks.

At the end of the study period, researchers found that all subjects taking the BF-7 (regardless of dosage) saw an average improvement in the memory index from 105 to 126.6. Similarly, the memory maintenance index in both groups increased from 52 percent to 61 percent.

The 200 mg group specifically saw an increase in memory recall efficiency from 31 percent to 59 percent, as well as a boost in the Intelligence Quotient and Memory Quotient consensus score from 53 percent to 79 percent.

The 400 mg group was even more impressive, boasting an increase from 41.5 percent to 66.5 percent in memory recall efficiency, and increases in the Intelligence Quotient and Memory Quotient consensus score rom 52.5 percent to 91 percent.

Circulation to Brain

Studies have shown that Bombyx mori, as silk fibroin, can increase blood flow to critical areas of the brain involved in memory and learning. This was specifically seen in one study published in 2004, where researchers tested the effects of BF-7 on four normal, healthy students.5

After treating the students with 400 mg of BF-7, researchers tested for improved learning and memory using the K-WAIS scale. They found BF-7 treatment raised IQs from 103 on average to 114.

Researchers then tested blood flow to the brain, particularly those areas associated with learning and memory—the paraphippocampal gyrus and medial temporal area—using the Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT). They found that blood flow was, in fact, increased in both areas. Additionally, blood supply also increased."

Just had my first scoop about 20 minutes ago. Mxed real well. Could smell the lions maine and the very little ammount of grit that was left over, I assume was from the mushroom as well. Flavor is solid. Not as strong/in your face as focus xt, but good none the less. Tasted more like ice tea than lemonade to me.

Have a bit of head pressure that seems to come with some stims for me. Maybe it's the Dynamine.

I'll drop another review after a week of use or so.
