Im not down with that at all, its really sad and too many jobs would be lost including jobs that make minorities more millionaires than Target, LOL

Im hoping they get a smackdown of reality soon and get back into the business of providing the consumer the best product possible, that being great NBA and NFL play and get the hell out of politics!

data shows targets workforce is now 15%, a additional 20% brings total to 35% while the total population of blacks is 13%.

Well the Rock bought the XFL, and maybe Hulk Hogan can start a new basketball league, I dunno there has never been a better time in history where there is the potential to take these bigs out and provide with something better.

Its happening in Wrestling with AEW, they are giving the WWE a wake up call which has deteriorated over the past 20 years since they became a monopoly again.

The problem here with the NFL and NBA is that its a privately owned company and they supply a consumer with a product and service. If your going to get political with your product, it may effect the quality of the quality. I watch sports to get away from politics. Im not into as much as I used to be. Any sports team should have the right to discipline an athlete or any other employee when they are on the clock or not hire if they think the product/athlete with be a distraction.

Athletes should do what they want on their own time, but under the clock its no longer their time. Now we have a situation where the top executives have caved into politics and social justice and I just cant stand it anymore. I wouldnt say "leave the country if you dont like it" though but thats just me.

Yeah, I agree with most of that, but in terms of the anthem or flag; I see it more so like this...

The anthem and the flag symbolize the ideal of equality that America stands for, not those who failed to live up to those ideals. If you take a knee during the national anthem, you are not protesting racism in your country, you are protesting your country. There is a difference. You are not objecting to an evil that exists in America; you are saying America is evil. You are not saying we still have a long way to go in our journey toward full equality. You are saying that this country — where majorities twice voted to elect a black president — is fundamentally racist. And you are saying that the American flag and the American military are symbols of oppression.

So for me, the message is something more indicative of rejecting even an ideal version of America. So if that is true, such a person might want to reconsider why they live here.

Serena- many times of course

Osaka- recently protested playing in a match as well which I believe was in light of the Blake incident. I also heard that she was wearing masks bearing the names of black Americans that have lost their lives due to proposed police brutality. I’m not really feelin that ;)

considering the current 15% is already over full representation of the 13% population of blacks, for target to hire a mandatory additional 20% it is highly unlikely they would be getting even close to the best people for the jobs---target would quite literally be shooting themselves in BOTH feet.

of course with fall/winter flu season quickly approaching and adding in covid19 i think target is giving itself a out-there is no way in hell target ever intended to hire a additional 20% black to workforce--they are playing the democrat handbook and just giving lipservice with no intention of ever living up to promises made...

i think there needs to be a comeupance for athletes as well as all entertainers especially hollywood.

maybe there is a silver lining to covid19 afterall?

They are screwing the Chinese over....after all they built the railroads out west in the 1800s and heavily exploited. Why not 20% black, 28% chinese, and 52% white, and everybody else they can find a job elsewhere.

Now thats a scientific formula for a successful business with equality in mind...until the robots come!

They could be or maybe they could be asian...especially Eskimos. Its possible Chinese and Mongols went over the top of the earth a few years back.

I dunno what the fuq difference does it make anymore really, we are ALL Americans and all should have equal protections of individual freedoms and liberties provided by the US Constitution for ALL....and ALL simply means who gives of fuq what you are, you are here you are American. But thats not what BLM wants, so hands up in air!

She makes me absolutely sick. I actually never saw her on TV or knew that she existed until Trump became President. It seems that the sole purpose of her existence is to criticize everything Trump says or does. I honestly don’t know how she holds any political office because everything she says is utterly ridiculous. She makes Biden look and sound like a genius.

Yeah, I guess this is a preview of what people could expect from a Biden and Pelosi nation...

Election officials have stated they dont agree with voting by mail AND going to the polling station to check and vote in person.

And further:

We asked the state board of elections about Trump’s distinction between “solicited” and “unsolicited” mail-in ballots and were told that none of the state’s voters are receiving “unsolicited” mail-in ballots.

A part of me is glad Trump is actually aware how deadly coronavirus is, and how widespread racism is. It's just a shame that publicly he downplays it to the point that his base downplays it as well.
 
I think absentee/mail in balotts has become too much of an issue. I don’t know who to trust in that regard, but it’s certainly not the opinion of the democrats. Regardless of the security of either one, I think we should still be prioritizing and encouraging in person voting as we always have.

As a means to make things “safer” to vote in person in the midst of the pandemic, we can afford to get a little creative. There can be 2 or even 3 consecutive days and/or more polling stations to make social distancing more feasible. Specific hours for seniors or those that are otherwise high risk could also be offered.

Aside from that, people didn’t seem to have much problem standing in a line at Walmart or the supermarket to buy toilet paper. I think they can wait in line with a mask, wash their hands, and get over themselves.

We already have that. To limit the amount of people at the polling stations they have specific dates for each party to vote. Republicans vote on Nov 3 and Dems and all the other parties vote on Nov 4.

I dont understand why they dont just open polling stations 1-2 weeks prior, 99% of the population already decided years ago.
