Donald Trump running for president

Wait, isn’t that person holding the BLM sign a female?

Either way, I love everything about it. I also have the utmost respect for Black Americans who don’t buy into all the bullshit.

absolutely...it's always seemed racist to me that a white person is free to choose who they support, but if a black decides to think for themself they have some old white guy running for president saying they aint black....

what is your view on building low income housing in mainly white suburbs?

I don't know enough about it tbh What it entails, how they decide who lives there, etc.

We have some section 6 (I think that's what its called) in my town. I'm actually a firm believer that diversity is a strength as long as the various parts of that diversity are equal actors in their societal roles. One cannot be an anchor and one cannot carry the load.

Low income housing with stipulations of proof of employment, no incarceration, etc makes sense to me. If it's a way for them to escape the dangerous inner cities and try to achieve better for their kids? Who am I to object? I won't allow my speculative fears dictate an oppressive stance until it's warranted.

why penalize people who have worked hard for a better life, paid big money for a house with good schools and low crime rate, and pay high taxes for those good schools and low crime rate...they earned the way to a better life-isn't that what we work hard to achieve?

oppressive stance my ass!!!

this is going to be VERY divisive, i would bet money on it!!!

How are they being penalized? I actually had to reread to see if I was missing some /sarcasm or something - am I?

'flamethrower-carrying antifa leader burst into tears upon arrest'

what a pussyassed mutterfking moron. put his ass in with some dude named chester!!!

lol...

nah, man-you good. we just see things differently.

I'd honestly have to look into it more to speak on it. In my eyes though all of those things you mentioned they (we) pay for - low crime, schools, good opportunity, property, etc...is still there. Only others are gaining access who wouldn't have otherwise.

Otherwise, the implication almost seems as though the suburbs are intentionally paying higher taxes to keep those people OUT...and in some cases, people may feel that way, but in my eyes that's where the dreaded "O" word comes into play.

Ok I paid close to 500k for my house because I worked hard for my money. Another person that didn’t work as hard should be subsidized and also get a 500k house courtesy of the federal govt to give him a better opportunity? Why the hell did I work so hard?

This is the same argument I have for the debt forgiveness for college loans. I paid full price for my daughters education. We didn’t take loans. I worked hard and provided. Why should someone that didn’t work as hard be given something I had to work for.

Then the real kick in the ass is not only did I pay for everything myself, but then I have to turn around and pay for someone else via taxes to achieve the things I just had to work hard to get.

Socialism sure does make my head hurt.

I have mixed feelings about drafting sissies. On one hand everyone should get a dose of some discipline and all the great things that come from military service. On the other hand I am glad I didn’t have to serve with all those shitbags. If only they could keep draftees separate from volunteers.

Joe Hiden' has been trying to come out of his basement more, but its not working out. Still bumbling and stumbling...

Low income housing is typically ghetto...just a fact.

one of my mom's favorite sayings when i was growing up---you appreciate things more when you earn them!!!

of course that might have been because she couldn't afford to give me much---but that doesn't make it any less true, imo.

Once we get more of them off the streets, we need to send them to China where they belong. We shouldn’t have to finance their incarceration.

You are so bad....haha

I genuinely do not give a **** if someone gets a better deal on something I worked my ass for. I paid an astronomical amount for law school. If someone else can go for free, good for them. It doesn’t belittle what I did or make it mean less. Being bitter over what someone else has or paid for their goods is a really miserable way to live life.

Thanks, Big Clit. Always quoting my posts that aren’t directed to you in anyway within seconds of me posting them really shows the love.

Does it make your head hurt that your daughters are discriminated against because their skin pigment and our stolen tax payer money is given to other people just because of their skin color regardless of their work ethic?

President Donald Trump on Thursday signed a bipartisan bill that will permanently provide more than $250 million a year to the nation’s historically black colleges and universities, along with dozens of other institutions that serve large shares of minority students.

In signing the bill, Trump said historically black schools have “never had better champions in the White House.”

roger goodell: 'nfl will support players who protest this season'

then i will, like i have for the last 3 seasons, protest the nfl-roger.

I used to love the NFL, now Id rather watch the news. At least I get what I tuned in for.

Nope - that's why I said I really don't know much about the demographics that live there, how they're qualified, who decides where they're built, regulations, etc.

This is sort of my thought process. It's similar to the archaic process of doing post-docs after you finish a PhD. "I went through hell for 2 years, so now you have to"

If you have the opportunity and work ethic to achieve great things, thats badass dixon...if others are given a different turn of events, good for them - no?

Why must we ask for everyone to travel such a similar path? I'm not religious myself but most republicans call themselves Catholic or something - imagine if Jesus expected his disciplines and followers to follow a similar path to earn their place in heaven? . . . the holes in that logical stance are gaping man.

I genuinely think you'd benefit from a book called Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. There's some other good essays by Seneca, etc but Meditations or even A Guide to the Good Life by William Irvine. Stoic Philosophy can be a really powerful compass as to how you may navigate life. Only seeking to do your own best, letting others be, focusing on what is in your control, etc.

I don't recommend it condescendingly, I genuine think you'd enjoy it and may benefit from it. I know the stoics along with many of the Zen/Hindu books have really opened me up to a more mindful and compassionate way of life as our society continues to succumb to materialistic and superficial ways.

Its possible you may be devaluing the meaning of that piece of paper on the wall.

And nobody is going to school for free unless somebody or some group directly paid for that student. When people pay to go to school, take out honest loans and have to pay them back, the fact that you are taxed to pay for others to go for "free" or to cover a lack of responsibilities gives me a sour taste in my throat.

There is compassion...

Then there is enforced compassion via armed agent to steal it from you and tell you how its being spent, and if you refuse to comply they put you in a cage, and if you refuse to go into that cage they will shoot and kill you.

Meh. The government created the student loan crisis to begin with by approving any loan amount and subsidizing the interest thereby causing colleges to increase tuition at exponential rates because the government would keep writing those $90,000.00 a year checks even if the median salary of that degree was $34,000.00.

If the government is going to subsidize loans, that’s great, but they should also throw some brakes on the tuition train. Partner at my firm went to the same law school as me 10 years prior. My tuition was 250% higher despite university ranking and COL for the area staying pretty steady.

i think your snobbiness is showing-wonder bread. maybe take those silver spoons out of your mouth-eh little ricky?

Wonder bread and silver spoon. Wow, you’re so emotional right now you can’t even keep it together. It’s okay, Big Clit. DPS is having a sale on SNS Inhibit-E. This too shall pass.

I have a better solution. If someone gets Lon forgiveness or gets scholarships then refund me the money I spent. If a section 8 person gets a subsidized 500k house then give me the same subsidy.

Im 100% Siclian, which means Im more minority than blacks and hispanics and also more mixed that just about anybody in the planet, including African genes, I aint get jack! LOL

Similar thought as to why Yang wanted UBI for everyone regardless of income level. It de-stigmatizes it. It would have been capitalism on steroids from the bottom up. Disposable income for those who are in dire need of it, which would have lead to an infusion into local business, online shopping, etc.

Instead we get more of the same, huge bailouts for corporations, a single stimulus as the country withers away, and the wealthiest literally growing wealthier all the while lol Mind boggling

What bothers me most about colleges are State Universities...that should be the one school that should be an affordable option for everbody but they get so commercialized and corrupt, needing sports complex upgrades, new this new that...well you know what I mean....then comes in all the tuition hikes, then school books get slightly updated every year or two, I had a friend who had to buy a new text book years ago that was updated every year and the professor was the author!!!!

Tulsi / Yang was the dream man. Ugh.

Veteran who doesn't want to invade every country...

An entrepreneur who wants to finally modernize everything (ranked voting, term limits, no lobbying after a political job, UBI, taxing all these conglomerates who evade us, citizens being paid on their private data...the list goes on).

Miss Yang in a big way. Hell be back !! If biden wins thats one big plus. Hell be in the cabinet as head of tech and innovation keeping him visible and gaining good experience.
