I think some of these situations were avoidable if the cops were better at hand-to-hand. It sounds silly but you have guys resisting arrest from 3 cops and getting free. That's already a failure.
Then they get to their car, or the situation just becomes hyper-unpredictable from there on out, and it's hard to blame a cop who wants to go home to his family at that point.
For a lot of these untrained, out of shape cops, it makes sense why they're quick to pull their weapon as a 2nd or 3rd line of defense, instead of last. They just don't have other options to feel like they can handle themselves imo
