I dont feel like scrambling through it all but Id want to lay out the rural and city areas, break it up more so it reveals more.

The consolidation of population in cities and city polices (such as stricter gun control laws) doesnt give the full representation of the state. It was a starting point though, but the big cities are certainly danger zone.

No, and I certainly dont. I voted NZ First last election because we had stupid home buying rules that allowed foreigners to buy land and property without living here. It turned Auckland into a s*** show with house prices rising from like 400,000 to up near a million due to intense overseas competition.

it was based on population...it ranked alaska as the #1 most dangerous state with only 47 murders for all of 2018 when there could be that many in a month in chicago alone.
if it were based on total amount of crimes committed the ranking would be much different.

can you believe that in some states illegals can legally vote in local elections and are encouraged to do so..democrats want illegals to be made citizens so they can vote in All elections legally instead of illegally which they already do now...this is why democrats are pushing so hard for mail in voting.

on the census democrats fought like hell to prevent merely asking if legal citizen--what do you think of that?

I do. I need a gun licence for my job and having a safe is a requirement to get one.

I'm happy to have them at home, because it's a useful tool. I'm glad we dont allow people to carry them though.

If you are not a citizen or permanent resident, then you shouldnt be able to vote.

Haha I'm all for people owning firearms. I just ask for stringent background checks.

I've seen some of the worst that NZ has to offer, and some of these people could legally buy a firearm. They're not convicted of any crimes or diagnosed mentally unwell, but it would just be a matter of time until they hurt either themselves, or someone else (usually neighbours). That goes true for anybody, but I genuinely think people should have to go through some hoops to own a firearm.

We are trying to avoid a Federal database of firearm collectors in case the government decides to do door to door gun confiscation and tyranny agaisnt innocent owners.

And yes, it has happened before, and cause? A hurricane, RROOOFFFLLLL!!!!! And there were many houses being broken into at that time too, the worst time to possibly lose your firearm especially if you live in a nice house or community.

Hahaha!! I went to high school legit in the hood. I had zero issues with the blacks at my school and in the neighborhood. It was 60% black when I was a freshman. Some of those guys I’m still friends with today.

Yeah it’s freakin hilarious to see really “white” people try to talk street to blacks!

lolololol....yes indeed...i love people watching and that really keeps me amused. i grew up right next to biggest projects in indianapolis [brick city]....unfortunately the vast majority of people i grew up with[white and black]are either dead or have spent most of their lives locked up related to drugs and alcohol.

the military saved me!!!

Total crimes committed is a useless statistic without population context. One can reasonably assume a state with more people will have more crimes committed. That doesn’t mean the state is inherently more dangerous.

We dont have the constitutional right to bear arms, so it should be treated as a privilege. Much like getting a licence to drive a car or operate heavy machinery etc.

Not everyone deserves that privilege.

many who have lost that privilege obtain guns through illegal means. very few, and i mean very few, gun crimes are committed by legal gun owners.

i would be curious on the numbers...hey @nostrum420 what percentage of gun crimes are committed by legal gun owners?

I have a tough stance on immigration. A lot of people call this hypocritical because my ancestors immigrated to NZ, but I think it is valid if they bring value to the country.
