Ostarine MK-2866 First SARM Cycle Log/Review

Hey guys,

I’ve never posted before but I’ve been trolling this forum for a few months and have learned a lot from you all. I wanted to share my experience with Ostarine MK-2866. My goal is lean muscle gain/recomp. I’m not trying to get huge but just want a boost to the physique.

I am currently on my 4th week on this compound and I’ve notice significant strength gains around week 3. My dosing is currently 20mg. The first 10 days I started with 10 mg for 5 days and 15 mg for 5 days just to see how my body responded. I’m also using Dermicrine as a “test base”.

So far sides are:
Dull testicular pain during week 2 and 3 but has subsided.
Joint pain between my chest and shoulders
Slightly dry mouth/nose

I’ve gained about 3 lb and it has seemed to dry me out with a “leaner” look.

My bench has gone up 20lb for 3x8 reps
Squat feels stronger but hard to compare since I’m battling tendonitis.

I’ll try to update in the coming weeks. Also, I’ll post pre and post bloods.

Planning 8 week cycle with Nolva PCT.

What do you know for sure about the joint pain? Almost all Ostarine logs I've read have talked positively about its effects on joints.

-Is this a totally new pain?
-Are you limbering up before and stretching before lifting?
-Are you maintaining correst posture? (Not just when lifting, but in your day-to-day activities)?

I have terrible tightness in my upper sternocostal area if I do anything that hits specs or delta and I don't warm up before and stretch afterwards.

That’s a good question. So the pain between my chest and shoulder (just above my armpit) is new. I have had this pain before several years ago always towards the end of a Halodrol run. I was thinking that due to the fast increase in strength, my connective tissue just wasn’t keeping up. I also wonder if the suppressive nature of these compounds have something to do with it. The pain happened pretty early in the Ostarine run, ~week 2.

Was it actual Halodrol or "Halodrol" by Hi-Tech/Gaspari?

I doubt suppression is a big factor two weeks into such a mild compound, especially considering how you've dosed it.

Real Halo can make your joints scream though.

Is the pain worse at certain times or after certain activities?

It was the real deal back in 2007. It only bothers me during bench. After I grimace through a set it becomes manageable.

This is not that uncommon. When on cycle people tend to push there lifts a little harder than normal. watch your form and concentrate on mind to muscle.

During bench press I took off some weight and focused on keeping my shoulders back. This seemed to keep my joint pain down. It was still present especially during the negative but the press wasn’t as bad. Thanks @Studhorse

Pinch the shoulder blades in tight and keep your elbows in. Definitely helps my shoulder.

I’m finishing up week 5 of my cycle. Strength has continued to increase especially during my back and shoulders workout. Weight is up ~5 lb I’m still on 20 mg a day and 3 pumps of Dermicrine. Currently, no real side effects except for possibly sleep deprivation. I’ve been getting 5-6 hours of good sleep but I wake up 2-3 hours earlier than planned wide awake.

In doing some reading and self diagnosis, I think I have “bench presser’s shoulders” aka pectoralis Major tendinitis. Any tips or exercises on working through this? I want to keep maximizing my cycle but don’t want to injure myself.

I would stop benching if you have the equipment. go to d-bells where you can control the wrist and elbow angles to relive some stress to the shoulder. I haven't been able to bench for over 10 years (Torn labrum)

This guy is pretty good. kind of long winded. He has helped me change a lot of lifts because of my shoulder. he has a lot of videos on youtube. usually just changing wrist angles.

End of week 6
Sleep has been much better. I’ve definitely noticed increased size in my shoulders and arms. Scale said 179 lbs (+7) after my workout over lunch.

Pain during chest workout is much better. I did upright chest machine on Monday and just focused on keeping shoulders pinched. I tried bench press today with less weight and just focused on my form. I hate not being able to push my weight up but would rather stay healthy.

I’ve been getting small reddish sores on my chest. From Dermicrine?
No other sides. Lethargy comes and goes but it’s inconsistent. Probably just natural mood swings.

I’m thinking about pushing my cycle out to at least 10 weeks. From what I’ve read it takes at least 8 weeks to see full benefit.

Any thoughts?

No personal experience with SARMs
Are you still just taking 15mg per day?
From what I have seen 10-12 weeks. 25mg per day.
You have a good PCT?

I’ve been at 20mg/day for 4 weeks. I don’t think I’ll go higher.
Planning Nolva 20-20-10-10 for PCT with some Mtest and ArA

I love Friday Back/Bi day! Energy was great. Rows and shrugs went up in weight. Curls went up in reps. Bicep pumps are insane. I keep getting comments on how much bigger I look. Good start to a recovery weekend.

Looks like you got the PCT covered. I would run the M-test for 8 weeks.
You going for 8 weeks on 2866?

Just curious, why MTest for 8 weeks? Do you have experience with it?
I think 9 weeks will finish the caps, so probably 9.

Well friends, I have some bad news. I feel like my cycle just hit its stride and I just tested positive for Covid-19. I’m super pissed. So I’ll be out for 2 weeks. I’m 6 weeks in, so the decision is: A, cut my loses and start PCT or B, continue on MK-2866 since I’ll have 1 week left after quarantine.

I’m leaning toward “A” but I hate to PCT and not being able to workout to preserve my gains while everything rebalances. But I think it’s worthless to stay suppressed 3 more weeks for 1 week of gains.

I would go into PCT then. I know if sucks but need to get back into homeostasis. take care of your health. you can always start a new cycle down the road.

I rarely see people continue to post through PCT, but I’ll try to continue to share my experience.

Day 6 of PCT with 20 mg Tamoxifen with MTest per label. Started creatine also.

Got some morning wood. 1st time in a couple weeks. Seems like a good sign natty test is coming back.

I should be good to get back in the gym in the middle of next week as long as I’m symptom free.

I picked up King Osta from Game of Gains. They’re on some UK sites and reasonably priced. I wanted capsule form and liked the 5mg capsules to dial in dosage. They claim manufactured in US and 3rd party tested.

How long were you on before you had to jump off? Did you still have most of your strength?

How are you feeling?

My wife got covid back in Mid December. (When it wasn't supposed to be here). She still has some breathing issues when she trains.
She is on the puffer quite a bit. She had the Antibody test a few weeks ago. and has donated plasma.
What I'm trying to say is it messed up her lungs. She never had issues before.
She was diagnosed with bronchitis. I think she gave it to me but it didn't hit me as hard as her. plus I didn't wait as long as her before I went to the Dr. and got a z pack and steroids. I never had breathing issues. She put it off because she works in retail and that is the busy season. When she finally went to the Dr. they almost admitted her to the hospital.

I’m feeling pretty good. Honestly, if I hadn’t lost taste and smell (starting to come back but still very dull) I wouldn’t have known I had it. Never had a fever or breathing issues. I had some lethargy for a couple days days and felt like I had a head cold but that’s it.

Good to here! My oldest daughter had a false positive test. Seems like more and more of these are going around. Don't hear much on this in the media.. I know a few people now that never had any symptoms. I saw a scroller on ESPN Sunday morning that some of pro athletes and getting false positives.

Back in the gym today as I’m writing this. 1st day back since the Rona. Not gonna lie it’s been pretty tough getting back into things. Energy is down.

The Boys seem to be working better this week.

On PCT Week 2. 15 mg Tamox and MTest ED. Creatine.

It started coming back a week ago. Probably 50-75% back. I hear it can take months to fully recover. Looks like I’m riding that train.
That's what i've heard as well! Well hopefully a speedy recovery to back to 100%.

Start PCT Week 3
10 mg Tamoxifen ED
MTest ED
Creatine Ethyl Ester 4g/day

Just started Massacr3 and Ara. I’m hoping to get a little natty reset.

PCT sucks! as you all know.

Fortunately I feel like my energy is back (recovering from Covid). Strength is definitely down as expected, especially since my cycle was cut short. Hopefully getting back in routine and diet will help the next couple weeks. 🤞

End of PCT week 4
10 mg Tamoxifen ED
MTest ED
Creatine Ethyl Ester 4g/day
1.5 g Ara
Massacr3 per label

This is probably my last post for a while. I’ll get bloods at some point to make sure everything has balanced out before starting next cycle and I’ll post results. I’m thinking of a 1-Andro cycle. I may start after I finish my ArA cycle.

All in all the Ostarine wasn’t bad. I saw some strength increase, which I’ve gained back (if not more) at the end of PCT. Probably a big thanks to getting on creatine and Ara. Muscle fullness and pumps have been pretty insane.

I’m curious to how I would have done had my cycle not been cut short to 6 weeks but I don’t think I’ll try MK-2866 again anytime soon. The suppression doesn’t seem worth the mild gains.

The boys seem back to normal. Morning wood almost every day.

Hit me up if you have any questions.

So...I just got my bloods back. Seems like SARMs are very suppressive even after 3 months of being off and having a “proper” PCT. I was only on 20mg for 6 weeks. Total and free test nearly cut in half.

That was the misconception when they first hit the market. Good as a roid without the side effects!
at least you look healthy.
You live in OK so your allergies will probably trigger the higher eosinophils.
Dont know much about bilirubin?

What PCT did you use?

Definitely have the seasonal allergies in OK.
Bilirubin has always been on the higher side but the docs never mention it so I don’t know either.

Wonder if the tamoxifen was any good or under dosed?
The guys I know use Novla or Clomid to rebound.

I guess that’s a possibility but I got it from a sponsor on this board that had good reviews.

I’m wondering if I should try another mini PCT to try and get my levels back up.
Anyone have experience with this? Would I just be throwing money away?

I’ve read that SERMS help jumpstart the HPTA fairly quickly but it can take much longer for the testes to come back if there was atrophy.
My LH and FSH are somewhat down but fairly close to baseline.

Sorry I have no personal experience at this. I have read articles were test levels were raised using Novla.

I tried tamoxifen with pct after msten cycle, I wasnt impressed with the tamoxifen. I had better results with Androsta 3,5-dien-7,17-dione.
