I conceded. You can now stand proud in front of all your bros and tell them how you won the China virus debate on a bodybuilding forum. Kudos.
And you can stand proud in front of all your bros and tell them how you went to such great lengths to actually avoid admitting you were wrong, or backing up any of your claims with actual evidence...

Exactly, you made it work. But when a ton of people are morons who refuse to wear masks and social distance, what option isl left besides closing things down again?
Its a fair regulation during a viral pandemic to enforce it. Basically you can call the police and they fine you. I can live with that, its fair. This has to go for BLM protests that have been going on...interesting there have been massive spikes of CCP virus not long after all these protests started, Im sure a portion of that can be directly attributed to the break in social distancing rules.

Again I can’t say it enough. You are just far too cunning for me. I hope one day I could be just as clever as you and can come on to forums and blow people’s mind with my stats that I found on the internet and just really show them the error in their ways.

Or I can look at the time and say what do you know it’s Friday night, It’s my wife’s bday, and we are going to go out and do stuff. Enjoy your numbers and percentages.

You do know that I posted at least one reference to a journal, right? Journals can be accessed online now. As can a ton of books, and magazines. Also, how many books are there likely to already be published on COVID?

And what are you still doing here? I thought you were going out with your wife? Don't let me keep you from that...

What protestors are demanding veterans kneel? Most are just calling for police reform, which only impacts the bad cops, not the majority of them, who are good cops. Strawman alert...
severely cutting budgets of police departments impacts good cops.

Except I NEVER said severe budget cuts. I meant things that make it harder for departments to cover up for bad cops, and easier for good cops to report bad cops without fear of retaliation.

For example, IIRC, as recently as 2018, 70% of states didn’t have a law making it illegal for a police officer to have sex with someone in their custody. You CANNOT consent to sex when someone has you in custody and can threaten to add or remove charges. Surely we can agree on that.

There's no reform that won't have at least some impact on "good cops"

That’s because both sides are morons who can’t express themselves and can’t listen to the other side. Most people are actually reasonable, but politicians and the media are so polarized that it’s like a parody of reality, and what most people want never actually happens, as only the most vocal people are heard, even though they tend to be extreme on both sides.

Both sides are morons, who is more of a moron is splitting hairs IMO.

People who say abolish the police are arguably the biggest morons, sure, but people who also don’t support cops wearing body cameras and simple things like that are also morons. People who refuse to wear masks are also morons. Etc. Both extremes are full of idiots.

i am sure there are folks on the left who actually support the police and believe they are necessary and for the most part do a good job....just like there are folks on the right who think wearing masks should be mandatory-like me!!!

but no one on the right is rioting/looting, and taking over city blocks-imagine if a group like the skinheads would have attempted what those antifa punks did in seattle, or burned down a wendy's or robbed a target?

Fair, yeah, destroying your community isn’t a smart move at all. Most people on both sides are somewhere in the middle, but it’s the polar extremes that make the news, and get attention.

I support the right to protest and I think people are letting a few instances where things got out of hand to dictate the narrative.

I mean, didn’t Trump recently share a video of pro-Trump protestors shouting white power, saying they’re “great people?”
don't know did he?

i do know that if i had a dime for every time i have heard black power in my lifetime i would retire early, and lots of those people were/are my friends, well, thats not totally true-a great many of them are dead now as are most of the people i grew up with.

You think every protest ends with a Target burning? A few years ago people could hardly picket without getting run over.

Sure, anyone can rally as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of other citizens. I was fine with and even understanding of some of the anti-lockdown protests. Someone's right to freely rally for white supremacy doesn't relieve everyone else if their rights to shun white supremacists, though.

He did. And whether or not black power is a statement you agree with, a bunch of White people shouting white power at a protest isn’t exactly a good message, and Trump could have just, you know, not shared that specific one. It was, at the least, very tone deaf. You can argue whether or not you think it’s him supporting racism or not, but it is very tone deaf at the very least, no?

yes, i agree-trump says a lot of bone-head things... like i've said before i don't agree with a lot of stuff trump says, but i agree with his policies more often than not-and a whole lot more than democrats.

As long as they don’t block access to hospitals like some people did. That’s unacceptable.

No access to needed critical medical care is certainly more than a minor inconvenience.

My issue is with the continual criticisms of just about every protest not being done in quite "the right way."

I’m all about peaceful protests. I can even get behind blocking traffic. I do not however give a **** what the message is once the burning, rioting, looting, and shooting starts.

With this latest Floyd issue they really botched it. They had the entire world on their side. The cops, conservatives, liberals, everyone agreed with them. What happened was dead wrong and change needed to happen. Then they turned into animals and the message was lost. The message shifted and coverage went to the anarchy. Then the white liberals hijacked it and it got even worse. This protest which could have sparked positive change turned into a dumpster fire that as usual let everyone run to their tribe and side up.

There’s a huge difference between protesting and rioting with looting involved. There were way more than few instances of this. Rioting happened in NYC, Louisville, Atlanta, Raleigh, Seattle, Windermere Florida, Denver, Albuquerque, Fontana CA, Columbus, Houston, Phoenix, Petal MS, and Vegas just to name a few.

There is no argument for comparing the first amendment to rioting. It’s like comparing an assault with defending yourself.

Yeah. They made it too easy for their opponents, who were few and far between at first, to stop focusing on the actual issues they stood for and instead focus on wonton violence and looting their own communities. Such a shame. I think part of that is that there’s no real leaders now. There is no unifying voice, no voice of reason. For lack of a better comparison, there’re no modern MLK, although he’s a VERY hard example to live up to in terms of what he did for civil rights.

You got that right. I don’t know what their message is now. You got BLM mixed with Marxist’s, white liberals that don’t even know themselves what they are doing other than it’s trendy on social media, the lgbtqlmnop crowd getting in on the action, racial issues where there never were any, the cancel culture crowd is in full force, and then politicians pandering as they typically do. What was the point again?

I think they should change from BLM to Black Lives Also Matter. Not only does the addition of Also shut down the “all lives matter crowd,” it changes the acronym from BLM, which I can’t even pronounce, to BLAM. Which is pronounceable, and catchy. BLAM. Like in comic books. Much more marketable IMO.

I am not a fan of hyphenated America. Let’s drop the whole black American, Asian American, white American, or whatever. Think how nice it would be if we just called ourselves and each other Americans.

The civil rights movement fought to eliminate segregation and I am watching people self segregate. Doesn’t make sense to me.
