Taking orals and supports together

I came across a post on another forum stating that orals and supports (the post specifically stated TUDCA) should be taken at least three hours apart from one another because TUDCA can decrease the bioavailability of whatever oral one is taking. There was no evidence to back up the claim and I could not find any studies either. So it seems it is more anecdotal than anything. Does anyone have thoughts on this, or evidence?

I have not seen anything about that and I've been active on several websites over the years

I've seen that suggested.
But I've never seen any proof, or legitimate reasoning presented.

My guess is that it came from incorrect assumptions about how TUDCA works.

Yes Ive come across that claim as well.

I decided to err on the side of caution, as I figured I didnt mind dosing them apart anyway. Besides, it works for me, as I prefer my supports before bed, and dont like PEDs at that time.

I heard that as well and I think it makes a difference, at least it “feels” like it does so I keep them apart (100% bro science), but I rarely take any support supplements anyway, I don’t think it matters if you do or don’t.

First of all, what's with all the people wanting to do oral only cycles lately? I just don't get that.

But, to answer your question, I've had this nagging question for years about whether it's a wise idea to take liver harm reduction agents like NAC or milk thistle during an oral on cycle, as opposed to afterwards. The reason being is that those agents are acting boosting your liver function to potentially break down the orals and reduce their halflife and bioavailability. But, again, that's just my theory and I have no evidence to back it up.

TUDCA/UDCA definitely isn’t completely understood yet. BUT they have a pretty good idea how it helps the liver at this point.

I challenge anyone here to just spend 10 minutes reading the PubMed meta analysis summaries on the very first page of Google results. Not deep, just the most cursory skimming of the findings.

And then tell me why you think it will make any goddamn meaningful difference in your gains.

I’ll wait.

Who in this thread mentioned oral only? Also, NAC is dirt cheap, I don't know why one would not take that at least year round.

My mistake, I guess I've seen so many of these oral only threads lately I just glanced at it without reading the whole thing.

I actually do take NAC year round. But, this was just a little thought experiment I had and I thought I'd get it off on the sounding board.

For example, when we look at things like grapefruit juice, cimetidine, and Bioperine (black pepper extract), both the DHB from grapefruit juice and Bioperine are added to PHs supplements and other things to help keep the liver from breaking down these compounds before they have a chance to activate. In the case of cimetidine, it also inhibits enzymes in the liver from breaking down compounds and drugs.

So, would not taking liver boosting supplements possibly have an opposite or negative effect? Just a thought.

You didn’t do what I asked - please read how TUDCA works before positing anymore ideas. It’s different than things like DHB and Bioperine. And Milk Thistle, for that matter.

This is how bro science gets spread.

You're right, I didn't read about TUDUCA, but I will give it a thorough read. My post, like I said, was just a thought experiment. I have no proof it works or doesn't work, but it was just something I thought I'd throw out there and have a discussion about.

I'll be reading the article on TUDUCA from Examine and I'll come back with my opinion. Sorry about the confusion, bro!
