First off, I am grateful for the opportunity to experiment with MA Labs new nootropic product called Aterall ER. Big thank you to Mike Arnold!

I have tried many nootropics and nootropic formulas over the years. I have used all of the ingredients in this product before; however, I have not used them combined and not at these doses. I know Mike Arnold is a master formulator so I have high hopes for this one.

I will be experimenting with Aterall ER at the recommend 3 capsule dose with some fats and also on a completely empty stomach. I will also try a 2 cap and 1 cap dose towards the end of the log when I have some familiarity with it.

First day trying MA Labs Aterall ER went like this:

Woke up and took 3 caps with 2 grams of fish oil and a heaping scoop of peanut butter.

-45 to 50mins later I felt the onset effects of the product. I was wide awake, alert and focused. I had the energy to tackle the busy work day. This created a positive mood for me. These effects lasted in full effect for 4 hours. I got two more hours with the same effects just not as noticeable. So the product lasted me 6 hours in total. I also noticed I was very warm (not hot or sweating) for about 4 hours. Zero crash with this product!

I had a very productive day and was loving this product for the busy work day.

I am very surprised how smooth the stimulation is from the product.

After about 8 hours I noticed small facial swelling under my nose on my upper lip area. I had an odd tingling sensation there. Then it became tender and a little itchy. It felt and looked like a huge mosquito bite. This look and sensations continued for another 4 hours. Then the skin became red and very dry. It looked like a sore. That stayed looking that way for the next couple of days.

The second time using MA Labs Aterall ER (4 days after the first the previous use) went like this:

-Woke up and consumed 3 caps on a completely empty stomach.

-40 minutes later Aterall ER effects were in full gear. Wakefulness, alert and focus was on point. I had a very positive attitude about conquering the busy work day.

-My work day productivity was way up. I was crushing my tasks. I don’t get any euphoria from this product, but I was in a good mood for the next 6 hours. No jitters, anxiety or crash from the product!

-About 8 hours post ingestion I had started to notice the same skin reaction to the just healed upper lip/under nose area.

So I had a similar reaction when I used 100-200mg of ModAlert (Modafinil) a couple years ago. It was the same skin tingling sensation followed by swelling and tenderness. It happened over my eyebrow. The reaction happens at the end of the day. I previously did not think it was related to the Modafinil because of the delayed response.

After researching this now it seems I do have a rare but serious allergy to Modafinil. I will no longer be able to use this product. It’s too bad because I was really enjoying it.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad allergic reaction. Definitely the right approach to avoid this product (and Modafinil) from now on.

It must have something to do with it upregulating the release of histamine- which I thought just occurred in the brain, but maybe it’s systemic as well?

Oddly enough, I also recently (maybe 6 days ago) had an area of tenderness just above one side of my lip that I found odd. It only lasted 2 days or so, and I never really looked at it because I have a beard and whenever I was near a mirror I forgot to look! Today was a day off from Aterall, but I was taking 3 caps per day as recently as yesterday and didn’t have anything like that occur since.

I hear ya! Do you want to give the Aterall a try? I would be happy to send you the remaining 14 caps.

It’s such a good product for those heavy workload days.
I really appreciate the offer. However, I recently started back on an antidepressant. So, I probably shouldn't try anything too strong that might interact with it.

It does feel histamine related.

Aterall ER final review:

I really enjoyed the Aterall ER experience (besides having an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients). It is a well thought out nootropic formula. It gives long lasting (smooth) energy, focus, motivation and wakefulness. The product seems to give my all of the positive effects for a solid 6 hours and had no crash.

Focus: 10/10 laser focus for multiple hours.

Wakefulness: 10/10 It gave my 6 hours of wakefulness. After the 6 hours I just seem to return to baseline (no crash).

Productivity: 10/10 this had me feeling like a task master lol very productive.

Mood: 7/10 I didn’t get an obvious mood boost, but I did have an increase sense of well-being. Since, I was very productive on this I believe that enhanced my sense of well-being. For me when I am lethargic and tired my mood drops so productive tends to keep me happy

Social: 6/10 I didn’t seek out conversations, but It didn’t increase social anxiety or anything like that. This product had me more task oriented and wanting to stay productive.

Overall this is a great product. This blows away the other nootropic formulas out right now that I have tried (in the categories of focus, cognition and productivity).

I agree with everything you said in your review, and it seems to align quite well with everyone else’s experience across the board. It definitely blows away the competition, which has been littered with so many disappointments....and actual litter. It is unfortunately that you can’t take it due to your reaction :(

Awesome review! I don't think i've ever seen Wakefulness in a review but it seems like that was the strong point for you out of the product!

Wakefulness is a great way to describe it, but I'm with you it is a "New Term"

Wakefulness was one of the product claims so I figured it should be graded.
That makes sense! Seems like it worked for you the best out of the other bullets!

Good review, I ended up trying the Phenyl and Adrafinil separately before giving this a go because I hadn't tried any of them before. I liked the phenyl a lot at 250-350mg, but any more than once a week and dosage had to go up. I tried Adrafinil from 300-600mg and it helped with socialness, but no notable increase in energy or feeling less tired. They were both decent alone, I never tried them together or in conjunction with other products, but for a once or twice a week deal they seemed to be useful and I felt more productive with each individually.
