TRT + HCG, Clomiphene Restart

I’ve taken 475 ius of hcg 2x per week along with my 60 mg twice a week protocol For a year and a half. I feel pretty good but I’ve had sexual side effects and some other issues with it since I’ve been on no matter what my dosage and range. Long story short and without getting into it too much I’m 31 and want to try a restart since im still young. I’ve cycled on and off hcg for the whole time to prevent desensitation of Leydig cells.

My plan is:
Take hcg 475 ius twice a week for week 0 to 2
Take clomid 25 mg a day from week 2 to week 6,
Possibly anastrozole .25 once every 2 weeks (I am extrmely sensitive to ais and have shutdown my e2 To 0 on an anastrozole dosage of .125mg before on 160 mg of test so I’m very cautious with them)

I’ll then test, lh, FSh, Shbg, e2 sensitive, etc to see where I’m at and continue or see if I can continue

MY MAIN QUESTION IS: since I’ve been taking hcg the entire duration, wont that hypothetically make the transition easier? And also has anyone also taken hcg with testosterone and tried a restart and how terrible was the recovery?

My hcg for restart I was planning on keeping low just because it is something I have already been taking.

Before goin on, My t test ranged between 270 to 400 ng/dL my free test was something slightly low maybe a 7 on a 9 to 20 scale and my e2 has always naturally been low even without trt and between 20 and 30 ng/dL no matter how much test I take…

Thanks for the advice …

I can't really comment on restart, but the guys I know that are on large amounts of gear for long periods of time do not use hcg on cycles. They wait 3 or 4 weeks after there last shot of gear then take 1000iu hcg EOD for 5 pins so 10 days then start clomid and run that for 4 weeks. Some will add a ai while there using hcg and taper off it throughout the clomid part. So while this may not be the same scenario as yours. I think if this protocol helps guys bounce back after 6 month long cycles it could work for you. But. If your taking trt test while trying to restart it's not going to work. You want the exogenous test out of your system

I restarted myself after 3.5 yrs of TRT and I did:
0-4 week, HCG 250iu’s x2 week
0-2 week, Clomid 50mg ed
2-8 week, Clomid 25mg ed

I didn’t use AI and would recommend not using one unless you need it through blood test. Do bloods on the 4th week and 8th week to see how you recover.

How did you end up on trt? If it was that easy for you to restart yourself then the you had a **** Dr. To put you on trt that you didn't need, or did you self prescribe???

lol, thanks for you intelligent input, you really know it all huh?

My wife and I decided that we wanted another kid, my sperm was “too low to measure” on TRT so I decided to get off. I made my wife pregnant after 2 months and since I recovered well I never went back on TRT. I also did some changes in my diet and they way I was working out. I did everything with the help of my “****” Dr, which to me is a great Dr since he helped me through this.

Wow what a crybaby, I didn't even say anything offensive. I was saying that if it was that easy for you to do a restart then a good Dr. Would not have put you on trt to begin with, he should have corrected the low t problem. Then I asked if you originally self prescribed yourself trt.

I said nothing offensive to you and asked a question. What a little bitch

This is the problem with ppl today. You can't even ask them a question without them being offended and crying about it

haha....classy crowd today. BBiceps, was restarting your natty levels super painful? Could you have sex within a couple months? And did you do HCG throughout your therapy? I've heard its a lot easier to restart with TRT if keeping testes active but Maybe other people have been through it...

Good questions, no, surprisingly it was actually easy to get off, I didn’t feel a big difference. My sex drive actually got “better”, it was out of control on TRT and now it’s high/normal. I didn’t use HCG during TRT, if I had I probably would had working sperm, I only used HCG in the first month of PCT, I think HCG makes a big difference in recovery, just have to keep estro under control.

Yeah my estrogen is low no matter what. Even on a therapeutically large dosage of test my e2 was always in a great range. When I took .25 I got tested a couple weeks later, e2 was unreadable it was so low. I have this weird fear of tryin to quit I’ve heard horror stories about how you can’t have sex for awhile and it makes you a mental case....but that’s reassuring. Chances are that I’ll go back on. My levels were at 270 to 300 ...the highest reading I got was 420 ng/dL which I’d be fine with trying to improve with supplements and lifestyle.

ok, then high estro shouldn’t be a problem for you. First month off I was low 400 and second month I was in the mid 600, I been 400/500 since then naturally which is great because I was low 200 when I first started TRT.

Another thing I did was changing my diet, I’m eating more calories and a lot more fat than I did before, it’s still clean calories but a bigger amount, I think that made a big difference in how I feel and why my test levels improved. I do use Clomid a few times a year, I respond well to Clomid and it gives me a boost. OTC products can help some in mood and libido also.

did you retain some of the muscle mass you gained on trt? Or all gone?

I dropped a few lbs and lost the “steroid look” but not much strength, I kept training and diet pretty much the same so now 4 yrs later I’m heavier and stronger than I ever been. The biggest difference to me is the “look”, on trt I looked full and strong after a cheat meal, now I have to watch my diet otherwise I look fluffy and bloated.
