Hi,

I've had a regular meditation practice for years now, I'm also at the tail end of my First 16-week Cycle. It may be placebo, but it seems I've been experiencing changes in my practice since I hopped on. All other things being equal, I find I have more difficulty visualizing the usual object of focus and focusing on it, and I don't seem to get the usual subjective result after practice.

I don't subscribe to any woo-woo belief regarding meditation, I chalk it up to Placebo since it's so powerful, however have any of you Meditators also experienced any subjective changes in your Meditation practice on gear?

Thank you

I don't meditate (in the sense that you're speaking of), but I can certainly believe that it might. Steroid usage can definitely change mental focus, energy, and clarity.

I feel that my focus during meditation has been much better since starting trt 3 or so years ago, Way deeper focus. Before I was easily distracted and could not reach my zone easily.

This is logical as if your test and thus DHT was low, your mental focus suffered accordingly. OP is speaking about a cycle not trt, so this is very much different.

Yes. I used to meditate a lot. Mostly mindfulness and just your standard focusing on your breath, body awareness, etc. type of meditation.

When on cycle I find this very hard. Granted, it depends on the types of aas and the dosages being used, but no matter how much and what, aas does not help with meditation. You are really upsetting your hormonal balance, mostly, you are upping the activity of DHT by A LOT. This makes you hyper and much much more aggressive. Both of this mind states are the opposite of what you want to achieve with meditating and are a direct hindrance to successful meditation.

Mental sides of aas are for me, except for prostate which I think is causing me problems lately, are the worst side of all.

Also, meditation is very far from being placebo. Lots of actual medical studies have proved how and why it helps.
