Ok friends. I keep hijacking threads because this is literally the highlight of this decade for me. I’ve wanted to compete for 10+ years and I’ve lined things up to do so next year.
As everyone knows (since I never shut the fck up about it) I started with a trainer 2 months ago. as far as I know, for NPC competitions locally (Phoenix) he’s one of the best besides Dusty Hanshaw (ifbb pro) and I feel he is the perfect fit.
Trained and competed naturally for 8 years which is important because I’ve seen how drug pusher trainers work these days.
He’s got a degree in kinesiology and is a pretty smart guy.. We seem to be doing a little from DC and Mountain Dog and a few others like 5x5. He’s all over the map but it’s been crazy effective so far. -20lb loss in 7 weeks with no drugs or cardio, and I’ve lost no strength and no significant size. I’ve even added size to my legs and shoulders/upper chest.
Anyways, I’ll type forever so I’ll start with this since we are in the anabolic section(where everyone is anyways):

Test E - 450/week
NPP - 485/week
Letro 1.25/day - switching to Aromasin next week
Cardarine 10mg/day
Raloxifene 50mg/day
BPC157/TB500 various doses as needed.

I’m attempting to take just 25mg winstrol at bed and was fine but today appetite is all of a sudden bad and lethargy kicked in on day 5 already.
This has happened 3 times already this year, can’t make it to week 2. Msten and Var did the same. Var is what really tripped me up, like who can’t tolerate Var?
Got Tudca on the way and going to try to keep bile ducts clear as MrKleen suggested. Us older guys just struggle with orals I guess.

I’ll start posting up workouts and diet without total copyright issues soon for anyone interested. I’m really just here for comradery and to learn from everyone so I don’t need critique or comments of such. I KNOW my weak points and that’s what I’m focused on right now, to always be better than I was yesterday.
Here’s where I’m at. Legs are pretty bad, 6’3 with meniscus tears in both. May be doing Men’s Physique if I can’t get them up in size.

I'm curious, was this the trainer's plan, or did you come up with it, and he OKed it?
He’s all inclusive. Online coach that will meet with me closer to the show and/or whenever I want. We do pics every Thursday with weigh ins and he makes adjustments from there. We are doing an off-season to bring up weak points and add size to obvious areas. We just completed 7 weeks of reverse dieting to clean up all the leftover sloppy bulks from the last year. He just tells me what to do. Diet is complete with every meal no alternatives, weights, etc. Gear, training, everything. My guess is we have till January to get the off season done and get a lot of size on my biceps quads upper chest and lat width.
Then we start prep. I don’t ask bc he knows how I am and it’s better if I just do what he says to do.
Here’s him 36 days out as of today: I think he’s been natty until 6 years ago.

Just to be transparent and real here too, I’m not looking to impress or anything so my pics are just the pics I take every Thursday morning at coffee, cold, in shitty lighting, no pump, no filter. I’m happy with where I’m at for full time dad, full time work, finishing my business degree, and genetic limitations. So nothing too impressive, just want to be a badass 40 year old that’s all.

Oh ya.
- 41 in 9 weeks
- still don’t care what my bf% is
- weight 219.7

- Current diet:
Training days - 3600 cals 300/410/85
Off Days - 3050 cals 275/155/150

I don’t come close to maxing out or even do the main lifts in that capacity:
Incline Bench - 245x5
Deadlift - 405x5
Squat 295x5

Thank you brotha. I’m going to put everything into this. Never weighed my food before or had to bring a second shirt to every gym session so this is up a notch for me than the fun hobby it’s been. Good to have you.

Hell Yeah!! Looking really solid bro! I like the layout and dosages, but are you really running that much letro everyday? I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed. Anyway you already look big man. I’m in for the transformation!!

You know me bro, it’s RC letro so it’s probably like roughly half that. But generally even with pharma I have to run a solid dose of AI, I just convert heavily even when lower bf. Gyno is always something I battle. You wouldn’t even believe the doses I get to with Trest Ace. Never crashed E either oddly.
Thank you for the kind words. Glad to have you and your experience aboard. I’d be fine looking like you do in 6 years!

If you are serious about this which it seems as you are... yeah probably need to really increase leg size... now if leg training is an issue due to prior injury maybe consult with a PT who specializes in working with athletes...

No MENT?
Why did you substitute MENT with npp? I thought you said trest was way superior.

Ya. They’re bad. He’s got me on hypertrophy heavy routine hitting them twice a week. They are already respond. If you’ve ever seen bodybuilding articles about training for tall guys, it’s very different. Back squats and leg presses toward the top do almost nothing for someone 6’3 for leg size. This is why the direction of a good trainer is so critical. And if genetically I just can’t get them to respond well enough, then there’s Men’s Physique.

It most certainly is. Gotta do what the trainer wants me to do. He likes npp because the gains are maintainable and realistic. I get it. Just bc we like certain drugs, doesn’t mean all that weight we gain on them is actual muscle that will be visible when we diet off all the fat.
What I’ve been noticing over the last few months, a periodized, well thought-out training program, made by a professional WITHOUT gear is ridiculously better than a subpar program WITH the very best gear.

Sorry I meant a physical therapist who specializes with athletics... may give you more direction on what you can do that won’t hurt your knees... my left knee sucks and I got advice on that and it has really helped my training.

I should have clarified more early on. Both meniscus have been repaired. 2006/2013.
While both times, I’ve been told heavy lifting and long distance running is probably not in my future, I have very little problems from either of them today with training. They are just always a little stiff but have full ROM, I’m just unluckily tall and have chicken legs, and I don’t skip them, they just respond hella slow.

Fair enough... I noticed more leg growth doing them twice a week... I can’t back squat anymore but sumo deadlifts and goblet squats along with other things helped me... I am short though ( 5 foot 4).

You and In the same boat with our knees. I have one blown out UN repaired knee MCL, ACL from about 10 years ago. it’s Long story!! But I didn’t have insurance at the time so I have the built up scar tissue repair job. Believe it or not if still works ok, it’s only limits me when bent in certain positions .but it’s definitely still very F@wked up!!

I used to love long distance running, especially after the Army. I know that’s what did it too. The only things that’s helped my knees has been weight training. I trained around the second tear for 4 years before getting it repaired.

Yeah I used to play slot of basketball and lacrosse, not so much anymore. Gym wise no low squatting or deep knee lunges. Thank god I’m still able to snowboard. Though some days when it’s 20 degrees @ 12,000.feet there a lot more stiffness and pain. Then again you wouldn’t think someone with a bum knee could push 22 plates on the leg press machine.

Oh ya, I forgot you boarded.
I moved up to Denver when I was 21, just to work at a restaurant and snowboard every day. Best year of my life.

But you are constantly on gear, you dont come off 😆
Even puny 125mg of test makes a difference in my recovery and progress in contrast to when i am off. And i am in early 20s.

To be honest i just hit full body 2x per week now that i have been going through this kinda health scare thing, 3 big exercies (usually 3 sets, sometimes i go for 5 reps, sometimes 8-12) each workout, with 1 to 2 isolations (1-2 sets per isolation) if i feel like it. And seriously, i make progress every damn workout (most likely progress aint gonna continue once i am off hcg and puny production kicks in).

Was losing all kinds of strength and size while on clomid, lost 20% off of my lifts in respect to where they were during the blast. Also, started gaining fat.

Having been on 125mg and hcg now for combined of 3 weeks now (first T and now hcg only) i managed to regain some lost strength (and size, believe it or not), so i am now about 10% weaker on my main (upperbody 10%, lower body roughly 15% weaker)lifts than while on cycle.

And i leaned out some (lost fat i accumulated while on clomidl), it is crazy.

You able to gain mass and stay lean on low frequency training like that? I always progress on weight used-get stronger- but get soft on that type of training.

Yes definitely possible. I go 100% on each and every set, gotta make them count since i do so little.

If i had no physical activity except the gym, i would definitely need 3x per week.

And if you are getting stronger and getting soft, perhaps cut back on the calories a little?

I found out that while on exogenous T i can cut back on my fat intake greatly without feeling like sh1t and losing libido (obviously) and then i lean out incredibly well.

Hence i said that i am never cutting again without a replacement dose of test.

Eh, even on just a 200 calorie surplus i noticed getting softer every couple weeks. Im also very carb sensitive and just seem to react better to higher volume and frequency. Took me till just lately to figure this out.

Doing all this naturally is an exercise in futility and an uphill battle.
No thanks. Even cycling is 2 steps forward 1.5 steps back.

Got to agree 110% here. Npp has and always will be a favorite. And i have gained and kept about 20lbs over the past 3.5yrs w it. Thats pretty good in my book since i could never keep anything i gained on cycle!
And another thing about those gains i kept- diet was On Point! Salmon and chicken, sweet potatoes, eggs, quinoa and peanut butter. Thats about all i ate and for me it worked great! Wtvr works for you just tweak w your guy and get er done. Two brains are better than one as long as they can work together. However, dp not be afraid to tell him if you feel like something he says just isnt going to work well for you- bc if he is that good he will have reasons why you should do xyz and if one doesnt jive then should also have alternatives. Sounds awesome and stoked to read more later!

Even at 25 I'm more worried about being what I feel good about being instead of a member of these weird bro-circle-jerks. Ive still got a few years before I start with gear so I'm glad to be able to follow some more knowledgeable vets to get an idea of what I have to look forward to. Glad to be following along.

Hahahah i agree 100%.

I dont plan on having kids however i am paranoid. What if i decide to live somewhere deserted, what if there is a major war, what if i wanna move to a remote island..

I want to be able to function normally even if, for example, i decide to move to Galapagos and start living minimalistically, one with nature lol.

If it wasnt for that, i would be cruising.
