I’d wager a bet most people taking epicatechin also take creatine (at least they should be).

You should pretty obviously get better benefits of creatine + epicatechin than epicatechin on its own, but it would be pretty tough to equate that to myostatin benefits.

yes, I'm currently logging EpiChaos , A epicatechin TD and I do supplement with creatine mono.
While there is no way of actually measuring the myostatin part, I do feel some minor strength gains, my chest is feeling a little bit harder (more muscle fibres, maybe?) & crazy vascularity.

I cycle on and off of my CEL EpiPlex but I always take my SNS Creatine HCL. I do feel like I can go harder and longer in the gym when i am taking the EpiPlex

Agreed with this. Benefits of taking both together will definitely be present but I don't know if you can compare and say it has similar effects as myostatin inhibitor.

I've never taken a good epicatechin product so I can only speak on others results. If epicat truly reduces myostatin, the result will be the ability to have more lean mass, more muscle growth. I see an emphasis on strength gain, but one should equally see muscle gain if myostatin is inhibited. Cause effect. Anyway, excited to use/log follidron 2.0 to see what a quality oral epicat/EK product feels like.

Epicatechin cannot be said to be an actual inhibitor of myostatin at least to any degree that muscle gain will occur as a result.

According to what? What exists that conclusively says it cannot inhibit myostatin enough to aid in lean mass gain?

If you are stating that it cannot, then the onus is on you to show where this is proven. Otherwise it is only opinion.

No, the Op said it lowers myostatin. I said it cannot since this has not been ever proven to lower it and increase muscle mass.

Now is it going to be anything paramount? Probably not. But you should experience better muscle growth and strength by supplementing epicat than without.

This references two studies mainly, one mice and one human.

In the human study 6 middle aged men, no control, no placebo group and didn’t even post individual just a total. That’s about as shitty as you’ll get in a study not named Wilson’s or a Bcaa syoppani.

Here is one I didn’t enjoy reading because I actually like epi

So the data does not support someone experiencing muscle growth or limiting myostatin

Another rat study, but interesting.

I don't believe there is enough evidence to make a blanket statement saying it has absolutely no effect on myostayin/follistatin ratios.
You didn’t actually read the study I posted then.

Decrease in VO2
No significant changes in myostatin expression

So what evidence we do have with humans says it’s a great antioxidant and overall health agent, not a muscle builder like advertised

the fact that they not even able to do it with drugs for duchenne muscular dystrophy. but tea and chocolate can! (or fertilized velociraptor eggs or something) - if only those poor parents knew! epicatechin have one horrible bad study on old men squeezing, by nestle' chocolate as far as muscle go - that it - despite all the promises of more study to prove, none appear that i see (in people, pref athletes). like above, it healthy to take, but supps targeted at myostatin are joke. carl lenore talk about this occasional - he talk to guy who found myostatin - listen what he say.

Haha this.

Literally the only thing that has lowered myostain enough to elicit increased muscle retention/added mass is gene therapy (not without serious sides as well)
