I ordered some for "research purposes" at home. Precursor to shrooms and I've never done shrooms. I have done lsd and very strong doses of it which was an "unforgettable trip."

Are there any significant differences between shrooms and lsd? I was going to make a little journal log on the effects if anyone interested as this is a research compound.

I'm in! Log away the enlightmnet! Have done a few trips myself and have had such lasting senses of wellbeing that I genuinely feel that the cognitive and physiological benefits are monuments!

Great man. I'm waiting for the batch in mail. Stay tuned.

Yes, the serenity from the substances is quite amazing. LSD to me really is a "spiritual" drug and intense.

Definitely agree with you, my trip started off me becoming a dragon but I feel the real life altering changes come as it wears off. Helped me get over some past bad experiences and get myself back on track and figure out how to move forward

Wow. That's your spiritual animal form. Yeah, the after glow. The next whole day I felt serene and comfortable in my own skin, which isn't something common for me. I also found "self-acceptance" in parts of my life which I find hard to accept. Not totally, but the experienced opened the door a bit. Have more self-exploration to do.

Ya have been trying to go on some more exploring myself, but have been busy lately...definitely going to be coming soon tho so this log will probably dictate the next route I take. My dream trip would be an ayahuasca ceremony but I dont have the money to take a trip to south america quite yet

Ayahuasca was something I'd like to try too. I wouldn't attempt to make the recipe as I'd probably mess it up and would need a spiritual guide whose knowledgable to make it. And guidance would be good. I hope you get a chance to travel there. I want to got there some day.

Yeah, the stuff was post marked a couple days ago. It normally takes 1-2 weeks to get to my place. I'll update every one when it's here.

I have spent 25 years recreationally using lsd, psilocybin, and recently have dabbled with DMT. I can tell you that there is definitely a difference in all of them, which becomes more pronounced with larger doses.

With LSD I find that low or even microdosing is very socially liberating. I am naturally leaning on the extrovert side, but I've seen this with introverts in that it genuinely makes you interested and want to better know your surroundings, people around, and it lowers inhibition. It also provides quite an energy lift. The higher the doses, the more the social aspect begins to fade and it becomes more internally enlightening. I prefer to be with a couple/few others in like mind set and in nature or outdoors. I like that I can "control" the visual portion when on LSD and really, the physical piece as well as I generally have a lot of energy. The only thing I can't control is my smile. I can never stop smiling.

Shrooms tend to make me lazy and rubbery, with little motivation. They also tend to be very visual for me, which can be good or bad. Auditory senses are heightened, which makes them fun at shows/concerts. My biggest issue with them is that they are so unpredictable, so I always start low and work up, but then I've had times where they all hit me at once, basically leaving me incapacitated and unable to walk, which is the exact opposite of LSD.

DMT I've only tried about 5-6 times now and I cannot say I will do it again as I'm not sold on it. I've tried different doses and settings to see if it changed things and it didn't much. What I can say is that it hits you VERY fast, like in 5-10seconds, and then you lose all track of time. 1 minute feels like 15. There is zero motivation, it just makes me want to sit on a couch under a blanket and be left alone. It is not social at all, but it is very powerful. Basically, take a couple hits and it hits like a truck, you turn your head and the trails follow. So I sat staring straight ahead as to not get dizzy and then I got lost in my own thoughts. Going back to middle school, I thought of friends I hadn't thought of in 30 years and it was so vivid and real. I can definitely see that if you were working through some issues and had a guide, they could get some stuff figured out. Of all of them, I see the theraputic benefits the most with this.

Hope this helps a little.

kisaj,

I like your take on DMT being good for therapeutic things. I've had therapists which I regret ever seeing and a simple psychedelic was able to unravel more of the reasons behind my troubles than paying thousands of dollars to a few therapists over a span of a few years. I am not dissing the whole therapy industry, but the ones I saw I think milked me good without giving me any good advice.

Tryptamines like DMT, psilocybin, and psilocyn have their primary effects on the 5HT2A serotonin receptors. In addition to serotonin receptors, LSD affects dopamine receptors (and some others as well.) Look up binding affinities. Then, spend four years studying neuropsychopharmacology. That should make the differences pretty clear.

For my LSD trips are always sharp, rough, hard, intense with extreme focus
Mushies are more soft, smooth, mellow, giggly, flowy, wave-like,
think lsd - pointy 90* angle vs shrooms being a gentle C curve
Furthermore, in my experience intense lsd trips come in waves, and ego loss can be quite brutal, leaving you bend over and ass-f**ked with no lube, trying to figure for next few months what has really happened.
In contrast, mushrooms in high quantities can make you very sick on a stomach, yet you won't care coz you'll be too busy laughing your ass off to the point it hurts, and for next few days in some cases weeks, you will have "an afterglow" which is awesome.
Personally i find microdosing to be pointless, unless you really struggle and lack inspiration for creative arts. However, like with any strong experience, if you're gonna do it, you might as well go for it. When you're having sex, do you just dip half of the head in, or bang like if it was your last sex in this life?
Hope that helps ;p

Man, I could not disagree more on microdosing. There is so much benefit and it is so enlightening that it's well worth exploring. Unless you have time to set aside 8-10 hours, no need to go all the way to enjoy LSD.

I do agree on the afterglow, though. However, I get that from both LSD and shrooms.

Everyone's perception is subjective, therefore i guess it all depends on the person.
You got me curious about the LSD afterglow. I never met anyone who tried both and experienced it. Do you mind me asking about the doses that you experienced with?

I don't mind at all.

For microdosing, I would take 15-20 micrograms. Equates to about 1/5 of a tab. I have taken up to 5 tabs total. Generally taking 1/2 of one and then taking the other 1/2 a few hours later is what I commonly did. The day after I always have an increase in creativity and a general mood boost with clarity. This lasts a couple days and then I baseline again.

For mushrooms, it is very difficult to accurately microdose because there are so many variables in the quality. My wife's friend has some now that it takes a tiny piece of a stem about an inch long to induce full hallucinations. It is frightening how strong it is. But in general, I would take 1-3g in a single dose.

I had an lsd trip a few days ago. Originally was going to do 500 mcg each a few days apart, but I did 1 mg within 12 hours. haven't microdosed with lsd, but thought about it. I go all the way usually. Oh YEAH! No, I don't want to come back once I'm in the trip. I was sad when I had to return.

I will try microdosing with the shrooms to see how it goes. I need a break from heavy trips so I don't get too irresponsible. That will be only for shrooms probably. And cannabis. LSD is different. I don't microdose with lsd and it has to be heavy, intense and feel like an eternity.

It felt more real than anything I've felt sober. It is literally unexplainable without being cheesey or a woke douche.
