Unanswered Creatine (Weight Gain?)

I recently picked up some creatine. Not took it for a long time. Just never was consistent with it everyday and i eventually just stopped it.

I bought some last week and i have been taking it daily. Just doing a 7 day loading phase. I'm sure a lot of people ain't keen on the loading idea but to just get saturated as quickly as i can. Seen it has been proven to work (Jeff Nippard Video)

Today is my 5th day at 20g... My weight has increased crazy quick. Is this common in the first week? I think the last time i ran creatine i just took 5g daily and never really gained much weight. This time it seems to have climbed very quick.

I am currently just maintaining my weight and have been for over a month so diet hasn't changed. Just the creatine. I have climbed up 5lbs+ in 5 days. Is it normal to pack on as much water in the first week of loading? It's actually nice to see my scale climb! My weight is notorious for dropping randomly sometimes so it's good to see some extra weight on me (Even if it is all water)

Anyone else get such a quick weight increase their first week?

When I loaded creatine in the past I gained weight. If I go off and get back on, and just do 5g a day, I don't see the weight increase.

There is 0 need to load creatine. Just take 3-5g daily and your body will be saturated.

Agreed! No need for loading. Just be consistent with 5g like thesolution said and you will be fine. It's kind of a waste to load.

Doesn't it take 3-4 weeks to saturate at 5g a day and a week with a 20g dose?

Creatine is pennys here. I got a 1kg of flavoured (Cola) for £6 or 7.5 dollars.

So 20g for 7 days... 140g and this will leave me a 5g daily dose for another 172 days so near enough 6 months for that cost.

I use to use just 5g daily previous and i gained 1-2lbs max but since i have loaded it this time... I have gained weight pretty quick (5lbs+). My weight had stalled for a few weeks their so to see even that water weight gain was good

When I use regular Creatine Monohydrate I hold so much fluid I feel and look like I swallowed a Volkswagen :ROFLMAO:

I personally prefer Creatine Magnapower (Magnesium Creatine Chelate). I get better strength gains from it and no fluid retention at all. The daily dose on that is 2.25/2.5 grams per day/no loading.

It’s not a myth, just overstated. Most bloating happens when we consume to much, like in a loading phase. Some people can consume your typical 5g a day and still get bloated, it’s just not as common.

I’d just toss the creatine magnesium chelate with your pre workout, or protein powder. Or whatever. Or just toss into your mouth and chase with water

Definitely not a myth. You have the people that it doesn't happen to arguing with the people that it does happen to telling them it doesn't happen because it may not happen to them; which to me is ridiculous bc people so many times lose sight of individual response. For me, Creatine Monohydrate makes me bloated and the bloating leads to me feeling sluggish.

Creatine Magnapower has very little taste. I generally mix it in water or with Focus XT. I've also though just thrown a scoop in my mouth and downed it. It's not bad at all. Nothing like CEE taste wise.

I can definitely agree with the bloating. My weight is well up and i put on a shirt on this morning i wear all the time and i could tell it wasn't as good a fit. Felt tight and most the water seems to round about my waist area.

Might drop back to just 5g and see if the bloat drops!

How much does Magnapower cost?

Just looked it up. 60 servings for £19 or 24 dollars. Too pricey in comparison to monohydrate no think?. Be cheaper taking d-bol

I'm confused; I don't think you are talking about ours.

We sell a 250 grams (a 100 day supply) direct for 29.99 before any discount codes and some online retailers sell it for 19.99 or less.

Uk site?

I just google'd Creatine Magnapower and took the online price from a good UK source. Was 130 grams for £19?

Predator normally stocks ours but I see its out of stock on there. Maybe contact them and ask them when they will have it back in would encourage them to go ahead and get it ordered.
