Unanswered Calorie question

So I weighed 177lbs when I got back from vacation last week (start of test 400mg) and this is my second week on that dose of test and I’m on day 4 of tbol 40mg. Definitely stronger already, tbar row is noticeably better so that’s where my first change was spotted. Eating 3,100-3,200 calories a day, weighed in this morning at 170lbs... I do 10 minutes of stairs 4 days a week and weight train 5 days with two rest days. I’m wanting to stay leanish on this bulk but don’t want to be wasting my gear and first real cycle.
Recovery is so so as well, chest is still sore from a chest day on Monday, still feeling shoulders from Sunday!
 
My fault folks, Brain is elsewhere. Should I raise my calories another 500cal? Stay where I’m at and see if I gain at a slower rate?
 
If you’re wanting to stay lean, I’d wait a bit. I don’t really need to eat too heavy to gain on cycle, the hormones do that on their own. And it seems like 3100 calls at 170lbs oughta be enough. You just started really so the switch hasn’t likely flipped yet.

It’s just odd that for a week I ate ate this rate and trained the same (minus one day) and I went from 166lbs to 177lbs and now I’m doing the exact same thing and I drop 7lbs. Seems weird to me. I’m definitely stronger though. I was cruising at 200mg test and jumped to 400mg so maybe since I already had test in my system it kicked in faster? Not sure. I constantly feel like I have indigestion though which is weird. Burning tight feeling in my chest through the day occasionally, maybe it’s the oral.
 
Test e or c? Takes a few weeks before you really start blowing up from test. Interesting that weight dropped 4 pounds though.

Make sure protein is the most important macronutrient. Carbs and fats don't build muscle, protein does.
 
A lot of people do. Get some Pepcid or nexium. Keeps it under control for me.

This is going to sound weird but bear with me.

Awhile ago I was talking to my brother in law and he got on me about “don’t ever jump on steroids”. Told me a story about how a buddy of his passed away from taking Dbol. Said he complained about indigestion constantly and heartburn etc etc. and he just dropped one day. Apparently all that indigestion was a heart issue. Dude had 13 smaller heart attacks over time and the 14th one was a massive one and killed him. Scares the piss out of me.
 
Well apparently vitamin c has been shown to induce heart attacks in the literature, so I guess don’t take vitamin c either?

Well true, yeah. I guess I’m still getting over the stigma that gear has. This is my first REAL cycle and I’m trying to maintain my health as much as possible.
Being brought up to see it as a death sentence then hopping on gives a guy a little bit of conflict no matter how it is. Then again I’ve seen guys shoot 4cc of Tren and snort 50mg Dbol (16 weeks Tren/8 weeks dbol) and they were totally fine.
 
Well, if your calories are the same as what you were eating to gain the last 11lbs you gained, there’s your problem. You need to raise it by 500 calories every 10-15 lbs you gain. Roughly.

Thor is right too, must make sure to eat at least a gram of protein per lb of bodyweight plus whatever amount you’re wanting to gain. So you weigh 170, want to weigh 180, then you get 180-220g protein. A little more than enough is ok, too much more, not ok.

Personally I’ve been eating 250-450g protein every day since I was 160lbs last February. I haven’t dropped fat, not really, (sort of, if you want the full details we can PM)

I gained some fat but mainly gained muscle as I went from 160 last February to 226 sitting here right now.

If it makes you feel any better I wrote a paper my junior year of high school arguing against steroid use. Granted, pretty much every citation was an example of what goes wrong with steroid abuse and worst case scenarios. But they never qualify that. And here I am pumping myself full of sweet juice here lately. Funny how things work out, eh?

Hit 100g of fat, you’ll start using the protein and carbs to build muscle instead of as fuel.

Should I take in less of one macro to raise the fat or just raise overall calories to add to fat?

Overall calories. Just add fat while keeping the rest the same. You’re at 86 a day now. Go to 100. If you start getting soft, train harder or back off the fat.

I would imagine it causes heart attacks based on its effect on cortisol.

If you actually crash your cort, you’re in danger of a severe Vfib, Afib, or similar type of heart disruption.

That had got to be pretty rare freak of nature type event.

Are you sure your eating 3000cal? I'm 200lbs eating 2600 calories a day and recomping. I work out twice a day and work on my feet.

Yep, 3,000. Well 3,300 sometimes. I workout 5 times a week and work constantly. I’ve gained 3 lbs now though! Bigger and stronger already lmao.
