I’ve noticed my asthma which I haven’t had since I was young has been crazy since starting Aromasin. Seems to start a few hours after dosing. Anyone else had this problem ?

Would love to hear more about this. Just ordered my aromasin the other day and I have had asthma since I was born.

Not to say you dont know the difference but it is asthma season are you sure its not just that?

It’s for sure eveytime I dose the Aromasin. I know the difference from seasonal asthma. Thankfully I have an proair inhaler in hand.

I have mild asthma and dabbled with AI's quite a bit, mostly Formestane and Examestane. I dont think I've ever made the connection you are suggesting. I'm certainly interested in this question tho.

This may be a bit of a stretch, but as I recall asthma is mostly caused by a type of inflammation, and estrogen has inflammation fighting characteristics. The other thing I’m thinking is you may just have a bad reaction to this specific drug and it’s provoking a reaction in your body to cause asthma. No clue on either of those, just thoughts. I guess for full scientific rigor, you’d have to test out lower doses, see if that still affects you, or perhaps a different AI, again seeing if you have similar reactions. (This is not medical advice, I take no responsibility if any of this causes a bad reaction!)

Not a stretch. You are correct.
I agree with the mechanisms in Jeremy's post as well. The only supplements that I've taken that agitate asthma for me are arach acid (after prolonged consistent use) and some old supps that used to include L-histidine. The L-histidine was an allergen in a pill LOL

I’ve never actually heard of anyone experiencing issues with this, but it’s not surprising. The body can convert histidine, the amino acid, into histamine. Anyone with allergies are probably familiar with anti-histamines.

Interesting side note, I’ve heard this is one potential explanation for beta alanine tingles. The body releases histidine in response to the influx of beta alanine in an attempt to neutralize it (by converting to carnosine). Any left over histidine is free to convert to histamine.

I have been taking Arachidonic Acid for about 8 weeks.

why would you take Arachidonic Acid? Studies have proven that is pro-inflammatory, and there is plenty of it in meat.

Inflammation resolution is integral to adaptation. You can get way more from a supplement more easily than from meat.

Interesting thread. I’m a life long asthmatic, and started TRT/HCG/AI about 8 months ago. I have experienced more asthmatic symptoms since starting. I’ve been bulking, eating a caloric surplus and doing no cardio at all. My weight has gone up 15lbs from my previous high, nearly 30lbs from the trough before starting TRT. I assumed the increased asthma symptoms were from the added weight or elevated blood pressure from the HCG. I never thought that the AI might be causing it.

I also have a bottle of arachdonic acid that I’ve been saving to run. I’m going to start it in the next few days and report back on the effects.

I just ran Ara acid for 3 weeks, I didn’t like it at all. I messed up and under-dosed it, so maybe it didn’t see as much of the benefits. The label said to take 4 pills to equal 350mg, I misread it and only took 3 pills. The DOMS was definitely more noticeable while on it, but didn’t notice any new fullness or hardness.

I’m not sure if it truly did bother my asthma. I noticed some symptoms, but it was late June when I would typically experience seasonal asthma and allergies. I can’t tell if it was typical or intensified with the Ara.
I also have Irritable Bowel Syndrome and it really aggravated those symptoms. I constantly had an acid reflux feeling like I drank way too much coffee and no water.
With two different inflammation issues in my body, arachodonic acid is not for me.
