All,

So I finally put pen to paper and bought my 12 week cycle (what better way to spend my tax refund).

About me:
Weight - 204
BF% - 13.8%
Training history: CrossFit since 2010, plus “globo gym” added in there occasionally.
Deadlift - 535
Back Squat - 400
Bench - 245 (torn labrum & separated shoulder)

DIET:
Currently doing carb cycling with 20-4 fasting.

Calories: adjusted daily based on %BF & maximum safe lbs/wk loss. At 10% BF protocol will switch to 15% caloric surplus with basis protein consumption at 1.2g/lb LBM.

CURRENT MACROS
Protein- 1g/lb lean body mass
M-R: Low carb-high fat (5%-10% carb)
F-Su: 40% Carb
Fasting all days (weekends are 18-6)
**My body has been doing amazing since I started fasting a month and a half ago. Down 11lbs, muscles more defined, veins bulging (girlfriend asked me if I was cycling anything lol), and performance through the roof.**

Goals: Faster, stronger, leaner, more endurance.

Cycle: 12 weeks
LGD-4033 : 10 mg/day (morning)
S4: 50mg/day (split dose- 25 g morn/25g afternoon)
GW: 30 mg/day (30 mins before workout)
SR9009: 20mg/day (5 mg every 3 hrs starting at 7)

PCT:
Clomid 50/25/25/25
GW

Training:
Crossfit - Monday-Saturday
Accessory - Monday-Saturday
Heavy - 3 days/wk
Sunday- Low-Impact (cardio, yoga, etc)

So yeah, that’s everything. Let me know what you think and sub if you want. Should be fun!

Well I fell off the horse this weekend. Beer, tacos, chocolate and brunches. The life of a single early 30’s guy....
I’m back on though and back on keto-fasting until my carb refeed. (If you guys follow The Rock on Instagram, you’ll understand)

Something curious happened though. Here are my measurements:
Friday- 200.4 lbs/13.4% BF
Today- 207.6/13.4% BF
To do the quick math, I gained 7.2lbs of something other than fat. Because my body fat mass didn’t change we have the rare opportunity to get a look into how the human body handles glucose. So let’s do some math!

The average glycogen storage of a male is 15g/kg of body weight. So we can figure the following...
Initial body mass - 90.9kg
Initial Glycogen Storage - 1.36kg
End body mass - 94.17kg
Net mass gain - 3.27kg
Unaccounted for mass gain (mass-glyco storage) - 1.91 kg

Now typically the human body will begin the conversion of excess glucose to body fat when the body has roughly 500g of glycogen and the metabolic storage rate of glycogen slows. This of it as a rate limiting process.
These numbers are for explanation purposes only....
G= glycogen storage, F= fat storage (lipogensis)
0-500g : 100% G
500g-700g : 60% G/40% F
700g-1 kg : 40% G/60% F
Etc...
This occurs until you reach your maximum glycogen storage. Then after that, EVERYTHING designated for storage by the body will be turned into body fat.

So the million dollar question is...what happened to me? The answer....WATER!

From the data, you can easily calculate the water attachment rate of carbohydrate metabolism and glycogen storage....

1.91kg H2O/1.36kg glycogen
That’s 1.40kg H2O/1kg glycogen
Or 1.4g H2O/1g glycogen

I know this is probably a little outside of the typical posts on here, but I’m a nerd so .

So here’s some even cooler quick data...
1g of glycogen provides 4 calories
1.36kg = 5,440 calories of stored energy
My TDEE ~ 2,800 cals/day
The math after this gets VERY difficult. You have to account for different glycogen usage and release rates. On top of that other energy production processes begin once you approach a fasted state. How much and how fast you burn through that is a very body specific process. But, hormonally, my body will start acting like it’s in a fasted state after 12-14 hours of fasting.

Needless to say, this is why consistency when doing a diet, especially a low-carbohydrate one, is important.

If you read through that, congratulations you have more patience than most and you’ve learned something new. The bro talk on this forum is nice, but never forget you operate one of the most sophisticated machines ever created. Embrace the science and get the edge.

It’s time to do an update.

Muscles are getting bigger but my diet is affecting my fluffiness. I get VERY hungry now. Much more than before. It’s making fasting hard, so I’ll need to adjust.

I ran a spartan race last weekend and it went great and I felt really good.

Been going to CrossFit and noticing that I’m hitting my lactic threshold faster on higher intensity workouts. But yesterday I did the Hero WOD McGee. It’s...
30 minute AMRAP
5 deadlifts - 275lbs
13 pushups
9 box jumps (24”)

I got through 21 rounds plus 23 reps. Was able to keep consistent pace. And only two rounds behind a regionals level athlete so that’s good. Muscles feel tired today but not sore. Kind of like that weird feeling you get after your leg falls asleep.

Also, I started to take arimicare to help with sides I was having like water retention and lethargy. I honestly think it’s helping.

Going to bump my dosage of LGD to 20mgs. I will be reassessing my PCT as a result.

Question for Op, where did you get them from, are they legit, and how do you take the liquid? Do you swallow or mix it? Thanks.

Have you noticed any sides? Specifically, the yellow tinted vision S4 commonly causes?
