Infection Log

Once the blood dries it’s sealed and you should be good to go. I never wore bandaids when I used anything. I just let it dry

Maybe this is just me, but I have always felt bandaids actually increase my odds of infection on a wound, my assumption being because it keeps it moist instead of letting the wound dry and harden.

I only use bandaids on locations I need to cover while at work, like a hand or under clothes, but once home for the evening I will get it off ASAP to let it breath, unless it’s huge. But then I would have had stitches so I basically always uncover anything not hospital serious to let it heal faster after cleaning.

Yeah I generally just wear them if I’m going to be somewhere. Like the store.

I think maybe dirty work pants? I don’t know... how long after an injection IF THERE IS BLOOD ON WITHDRAWAL does it stay open to infection?

Anybody know the real answer..?

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Had an oncology test. So the little pin hole shouldn't really stay open long at all. It should clot off within a few minutes. The fibrous clot should have small amounts of non specific IgM in it to bind up anything that would come close.

Yeah that’s what I thought. So I contaminated the vial.
How long was the needle you used? I just discovered the blend I'm using that was giving me huge debilitating PIP. accompanied with golf ball knots/abcess' went away when I went deeper on injection from 1" to 1.5". I almost stopped using it for fear of bad cellulitis. Now I have zero PIP or swelling

Neither have been drained. The first one is basically gone, just a lump of hard tissue is left, doc said it could stay or go. The second one should be gone in a few days.

I am not on keflex and Bactrim anymore but instead on clindamycin 450mg every six hours.

What a pain this has turned out to be for you OW. This thread is fascinating!

My brain just wont let me believe a drop of water after a shower did this. I mean pharmacists slap in IM flu shots, shingles vaccines, etc with general public all the time. How is like EVERYONE not getting infected? What am I missing here?

It’s not from that. Sterile technique failed at some step or gear is contaminated

Yeah, I’m still not sure what I did to ruin this vial, but it’s definitely ruined. I’m paranoid now that whatever I did, I’ll repeat over and over,

It’s funny, when I came back with a second infection the doctors were all over it like white on rice. They really wanted to get to the bottom of what caused it. They also decided it must be that I contaminated the vial somehow. This first shot was good, so that rules out allergy and a contaminated vial. Two infections in a row means the gear itself is for sure contaminated. So that means sometime after my first shot from this vial, SOMETHING happened to it.

My guess is a drop of water landed on the stopper and sat there all week.

The first one, I know for a fact I accidentally shot a drop of dirty shower water into my leg, but the second one was a true surprise.

How’d it go over telling the dr about vials of steroids?

Well, if you tell them you have a prescription, they seem to feel ok about it.

I guess I’m just lucky I’m not on tren. Good luck explaining that. “Yeah they give it to me for my psychosis.”

“You have psychosis?”

“On tren I do.”

Just tell them you have bi-polar. Lol

But really though, with how popular DHB is getting to be, I don’t think I’ll ever need to use tren.

Tren bi polar... that’s where you’re either flying into a rage smashing everything that moves or plotting grisly revenge by worklight in the garage... and nothing in between.
Worked for my first ex-wife. She told the Therapist she was Bi-Polar Pschofrenic w/17 personalities from me being deployed to Iraq. And thats why she cheated, cause one of her personalities was a DOM. He bought it all the way. My attorney and the judge didn't. Lol

I don't understand why these infections are so common? People are injected every day by docs for vaccinations etc. You rock up, they wipe, they stab, they stick a bit of cotton wool on and off you pop.

No issues what's-so-ever EVER! The body is way more tolerant than that.

Also how many times have you cut yourself in life? Rarely anything ever happens.

Cellulitis is a nasty infection caught only by something quite dirty, with the bacteria present.

Everything you have said sounds fine so either you have dodgey needles and infected gear mate. Must be??

They aren't common.

LAST DAY OF ANTIBIOTICS.

I still have a bit of hard swollen tissue in both hips, sort of like scar tissue, except it’s going away. No pain, there was itching for a few days, gone now.

Second one is obviously worse than the first.

Found out a bunch of bullshit about my taxes that makes it so my stash will not be growing by much for the next 60 days at least.

They probably think my kids don’t exist, again.

OH THE MOST IMPORTANT PART

HOW I CONTAMINATED THE VIAL

Improper storage, which resulted in allowing water vapor in the air to enter the vial and condense.

It’s finally been long enough I can see the condensation.

So I will discontinue storing my gear in the bathroom cabinet as I was so accustomed to years ago and move it into another room.

That’ll do it, not a very cool dry place in the bathroom... also you need better stoppers if that’s the case. Def not sealed well.

I think it was my spearing technique. I was doing the non-coring thing they teach nowadays. If you **** up it makes a slice instead of a pinhole.

From now on I’m going 100% old school. Pin in the bedroom, no Ztrack, no anti coring vial tricks. Just quick and brutal. I never ever had a problem doing that, and until now never had an issue in the bathroom. . .

But, yeah, too much for me to **** up right now.
