ECA to preserve muscle

Hey guys, finishing PCT right now. I am going on a beach vacation at the begining of May and want to look lean.

I have only lost 3 lbs since the end of my cycle and that was likely water weight, strength is still up. Given my test levels are pretty dang high from the serm, can i go ahead and throw ECA in and would this preserve muscle in a defecit/ cut to prep for the beach?

I know its no ideal to cut during PCT but i have kept almost all my gains and strength, is it okay to cut now?
 
Beta agonists have been shown in multiple studies to promote protein synthesis and prevent muscle atrophy in humans. The stronger the ligand the more potent the re-partitioning effects. EC is decently effective - during PCT i would opt for the following in order of effectiveness IMO - Albuterol & Caffeine < Inhaled Terbutaline < Clen < Formoterol
 
Ill just leave this here, but it seems across the board EC is regarded as anti catabolic

Look, if you want a diet aid that curbs appetite somewhat and gives you energy, then EC or ECA is for you, but don’t delude yourself into thinking it’s marginal anti catabolic effect is going to mean anything significant.
 
You understand the article referenced were studying fat chicks. Theres a reason they are obese... their diet is absolute junk, if it can make even them lose weight then yes id say thats considered powerful. Also i dont think ECA effectiveness is up for debate here, only its anti-catabolic properties.
 
Anything that makes you hot and not hungry makes you lose weight... it’s not really rocket science here. However, the fact is, that the actual scientific article referenced shows obese people, on a diet, not losing much of anything in 24 weeks. So I guess: eat shitty to lose weight with ECA? Or... maybe... somebody is full of it. Could it be examine.com, the undisputed scholarly information source of the world? Of course not.

I’m not saying it doesn’t cause weight loss, but I am saying it doesn’t do much on its own. And science seems to back that up, even though they think a kg is significant... with drugs, I mean really the results could be better for sure. Especially for what it does to your heart over time.

Now, that being said, the anti catabolic effect is considered minor, so if barely losing two pounds in six months is really really significant, then I guess the small anti catabolic effect is maybe retaining an ounce or two of muscle.
 
Mucuna seems to have a a synergistic effect when combined with beta 2 agonists fwiw.
 
Today was first day of ECA

Weighed in on wednesday for Shoulder day and was at 199.8 lbs. Today was back day *Friday* and clocked in at 194.8......

Not sure how to feel about that seeing as i started cycle at 186.... uping my calories tonight but even at 5 lbs lighter i still lifted the same on deadlift as i did last week.

I agree with that. Curbs appetite and great energy... it’s perfect for that!
 
Quick question: can you take ECA every day or is it best to just take it 3/4 days a week?
you should take it daily... the e actually gets more effective (though the stim portion will wear off) the longer its run

clen is usually 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
 
I saw an article on AM’s homepage saying that things like aspirin inhibit the adaptive response to lifting weights and it’s why I haven’t tried ECA yet. In the study posted above, the participants only ephedrine or caffeine or ephedrine and caffeine with no aspirin involved anywhere.
Have you guys noticed any changes in muscle growth or strength gains whilst on ECA?

I’m looking into ways of acquiring ephedrine with white willow bark, hoping that that’ll be a better option overall. What do you guys think?

3. If I’m currently cutting and am planning to eat at maintenance one day a week, at maintenance+300kcal one day a week and at maintenance-500kcal on the other days and I take ECA on the two non-deficit days, would I need to adjust my calorie intake on those days?

1. Stick to tried and true 25mg Eph and 200mg Caff - tapered up to 3 times daily.
2. Person dependant, P-Synepherine isn't really centrally active at all, so I doubt there will be any concerns stacking the two.
3. No - Energy balance is the ultimate factor, not what you consume daily.
 

Huh, interesting. What are the pros and cons of adding a bit of aspirin into the equation? I read that Aspirin prevents cAMP levels from decreasing by blocking the production of prostaglandins outside the body's cells, which sounds like a good thing. Although I am also aware that anti-inflammatories inhibit muscular adaptation

Of the other recommendations I received, the lowest dose calls for 81mg of baby aspirin and apparently most people go with 300mg
 
I believe the aspirin part was initially added to thin the blood and counteract some of the negative effects in the heart with ephedrine. It DOES have some minor effect on thermogenisis but from what i understand its more effective on obese people. That said, both aspects are negligible and not worth thinning your blood, especially if you are an athlete/ have even a remotely aesthetic composition
 
You’re much better off taking yohimbine instead of the A. Actually does something for fat loss...
 
Ephedrine doesnt change my pysche at all and im on day 5. Maybe talk faster or talk more when i engage in a conversation but i dont necessarily want to start one lol.

Yohimbine gave me pretty bad anxiety comparatively speaking.
 
I’m being careful about yohimbine, I want to make sure it doesn’t end up messing with my psyche

Maybe start with alpha y instead. Usually has less sides for those sensitive to them
