Levothyroxine + 3,5-diiodo-l-thyronine

Hey guys!

I just had a quick question. I went searching online and couldn’t find a good answer. I’m currently on 50mcg of levothyroxine daily, as my thyroid was not tanked but it was slightly low. I haven’t had much bloodwork done recently for it but my last bloods said i was solid.

I am looking to try the purge stim free fatburner which has 300mcg of the 3,5-diiodo-l-thyronine. Is that a safe combo? I don’t know enough about thyroid hormone interactions and i haven’t seen much info online about this stuff. The profile on it looks great and i can get it incredibly cheap. Does anyone know about this interaction?

Thanks!

dont play with your thyroid mate... also t2 is useless

I’m already on the thyroid medication. So there isn’t any getting around playing with my thyroid. And honestly I’m not taking the fat burner for the thyroid output. There is a bunch of other really good stuff in it. I’m just more concerned of if that combination is safe

If your on thyroid meds I would check with the doctor. Medication interactions can be tricky.

If your taking t4 you should be already covered with your thyroid. I don’t think 3-5 will do much of anything compared to what your already taking. I also don’t know if your going to be able to find an answer to this... just not a common question. You might have to either just try it or leave it. Personally I would leave it, but that’s up to you brother

T2 does next to nothing for me personally. It's very slight. I would expect you will get more out of your regular thyroid meds.

You say your thyroid was not tanked, just slightly low - I hope your Dr. was diligent about putting you on T4 if that was the case. A slightly low thyroid is no reason to jump to thyroid replacement.

If you are stable on medications, I would not recommend mixing T2 with it. IMO, the rewards will be disappointing at best and the risks could be annoying at best. You'd be better off getting new blood work and discussing it with your Dr.

If you do decide to use it, let your Dr. know - if he is being diligent he should be doing bloodwork on you anyway to check on how you are doing on the replacement therapy and adjust if needed. If you take T2 it will likely effect your TSH and it could make his job tougher.

Maybe an alternative to what your looking at is simply to use PES Shift + L-carniting?

I wanted to use this stuff for the other ingredients, it just has the t2 in it. I would prefer to go without the t2 but it’s in with a host of other great ingredients. My doc had been really solid at keeping my thyroid stable and he also has me on trt which he monitors closely. My thyroid is all good now. He only has me on 50mcg of the T4.
