Blackstone Labs indicted

Seems they seem to go after what they perceive as the “big dogs”...Hi Tech Pharmaceuticals, Blackstone Labs, Enhanced Athlete, etc.

Yep. That's the right way to do it, if you're going to do it.
Blackstone Labs it talking smack about battling it out, but it sounds like they've got some pretty damning evidence against them.

Ya, I heard a statistic once the conviction rate in Federal cases is quite higher than that of state cases.

Yep. And even if they didn't win (which they almost certainly will), the cost of legal defense, forfeiture of product (even if only temporary), and interuption of business is more than most companies can bear.

i traveled back home last week and stopped by a nutrition store. its a regular non-chain store. nothing shady in appearance.

but when I went in they had everything. like everything i had ever heard of - stuff that i thought had been outlawed for years. Walls of it. Finally, i aske dthe guy behind the counter how they had _____ and he would tell me they bought out Company X before they went out of biz or were outlawed.

Is this normal? i figured if they had a **** load of PH that were banned they would keep them in the back ...

Yeah, most keep them in the back. But they rarely mess with the Mom and Pops (right now, anyway).

Ya they leave them alone because the financial cost to prosecute is too high so the payoff isn’t big enough to just put mom and pop in prison. No publicity in that like they get from picking off big dogs like Blackstone.

Not sure how this is going to stick when the charges stem from 2012-13 and the law wasn’t written (that they allegedly broke) until 2014.

This isn’t how the law works. They’re going to get off with a slap on the wrist.

Read the article.
One of the owners posed as an FDA agent, told distributors that things were legal when they weren't.... They've got a lot of incriminating emails.

They even stated in some of the emails (apparently) that they knew that what they were doing was illegal.

I come to AM to get away from reading about government overreach, abuse of power, corruption, etc. Because that's what I see in so much else. Just sucks when all that bleeds over into our game - trying to be a better you. Gets me fired up in a bad way....federal conviction rates are well above 90%. Innocent until proven guilty....but I believe 1 of the charges was money laundering....that's the kill shot. Cant hide $$ from uncle sam or he will hollow your ashole out with his......flag. but it does sound like the defendants were a little nuts in a few scenarios here

Check out the asian dude on YouTube that roasts everyone. Cant think of his name but he always talks about his traps lol. He tells the whole story on the Blackstone guys

They deserve to get busted to be so stupid as to put incriminating things in emails and pose as FDA agentS.
