I would simply return all our troops home from all the wars and 100+ bases and they can guard the border at a fraction of the cost of propping up the global empire. I still think its overdoing it but its an honest opinion.

My focus would be getting rid of the incentives and live in a free society among other things.
a free society with no borders?

No, a free society as in you are responsible for yourself, not the government or other tax payers against their will.

Illegal immigrants should be thrown in a concentration camp and have expedited due process and be sent home after a couple years of hard labor work if your over 18. They can do what prisoners do such as book our international flight tickets and process our passports or make our license plates so we can compensate the judicial costs and transportation costs to shoot them back home.

But he is a big government socialist. A little less socialism is still socialism. I mean if your a socialist, thats fine so be it but people cant pretend they are not and attack other socialists just because they are slightly more socialist.

my argument is/was against assigning constitutional rights to someone here illegally. conversation got cut short when I went to spend some time with grandkids.
If our laws don't pertain to them than they wouldn't be here illegally. The Constitution applies to both citizens and non-citizens, with a few exceptions of some parts. I've seen a lot of right wing personalities claim illegals don't have Constitutional rights and they are dead wrong.

Well, that would be a great idea!
Good point. I'd also argue that people in favor of revoking those rights away from non-citizens are also the cause of them being taken away from citizens.

Republicrats and Demicans are all the same, Hitlery and Dump are both the same. There barely is any difference between the two parties and they both support and prop up the same system with incremental differences.

A vote for Dump is a vote for Hiltery, a vote for Hitlery is a vote for Dump, same crap in 2020 whoever will be the Demican front runner.

Bipartisan Attacks on the Second Amendment

Written by Ron Paul
Monday March 11, 2019

The House of Representatives recently passed legislation that would expand the national background check system to require almost everyone selling firearms, including private collectors who supplement their incomes by selling firearms at gun shows, to perform background checks on the potential buyers. The bill has a section purporting to bar creation of a national firearms registry. However, the expanded background check system will require the government to compile lists of those buying and selling guns. In other words, it creates a de facto national gun registry.

Similar to the experience with other types of prohibition, making it more difficult to legally buy a gun will enhance the firearms black market. Criminals, terrorist, and even deranged mass shooters will thus have no problem obtaining firearms.

It is no coincidence that the majority of mass shootings take place in “gun-free zones,” where shooters know their targets will be unarmed. This shows that any law making it more difficult for Americans to own and carry firearms makes us less safe. If Congress really wanted to reduce the incidence of gun violence, it would repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act. This law leaves children easy prey for mass shooters by mandating that public schools be “gun-free zones.”

A nationwide system of gun registration could be a step toward national gun confiscation. However, antigun bureaucrats need not go that far to use the expanded background check system to abuse the rights of gun owners. Gun owners could find themselves subject to surveillance and even harassment, such as more intensive screening by the Transportation Security Administration, because they own “too many” firearms.

Republican control of the White House and the Senate does not mean our gun rights are safe. Republicans have a long history of supporting gun control. After the 1999 Columbine shooting, many Republicans, including many who campaigned as being pro-Second Amendment, eagerly cooperated with then-President Bill Clinton on gun control. Some supposedly pro-gun Republicans also tried to pass “compromise” gun control legislation after the Sandy Hook shooting.

Neoconservative Senator Marco Rubio has introduced legislation that uses tax dollars to bribe states to adopt red flag laws. Red flag laws allow government to violate an individual’s Second Amendment rights based on nothing more than a report that the individual could become violent. Red flag laws can allow an individual’s guns to be taken away without due process simply because an estranged spouse, angry neighbor, or disgruntled coworker tells police the individual threatened him or otherwise made him feel unsafe.

President Trump has joined Rubio in wanting the government to, in Trump’s words, “take the guns first, go through due process second.” During his confirmation hearing, President Trump’s new Attorney General William Barr expressed support for red flag laws. California Senator and leading gun control advocate Dianne Feinstein has expressed interest in working with Barr to deprive gun owners of due process. It would not be surprising to see left-wing authoritarians like Feinstein work with right-wing authoritarians like Barr and Rubio on “compromise” legislation containing both a national red flag law and expanded background checks.

My years in Congress taught me that few politicians can be counted on to protect our liberties. Most politicians must be pressured to stand up for freedom by informed and involved pro-liberty citizens That is why those of us who understand the benefits of liberty must remain vigilant against any attempt to erode respect for our rights, especially the right to defend ourselves against private crime and public tyranny.

Id have to look into this but it would make every sense in the world to offer proper due process for every "illegal" as it protects all of us from unwarranted government powers to kick any one of us out. I dont see how the Constitution would protect a convicted illegal from being deported afterwards.

Now if only we all actually were guaranteed proper due process, which we by current (unconstitutional) laws are not but thats another issue.

Well they're both people and that is who the Constitution refers to. The Supreme Court has been ruling this way repeatedly since the 1800s, so it's not just my opinion.

Rex 84, Patriot Act, National Defense and Resource Preparedness Act, AUMF, just to get started. Nobody is safe, there are no laws of the land to truly protect us. The majority 95% or more Republicrats and Demicans do not respect Bill of Rights and Constitution and due process laws. This includes the UnSupreme Court. This is a fact.

As somebody that travels outside of the US, I would like for my country to respect the rights of everybody here legally or illegally if for no other reason than to set a good example for other countries. It's the right thing to do to treat others fairly and like human beings. That doesn't mean ignoring laws or giving anybody special treatment. I think everybody should be given the same fair chance and the rest is up to them.

Disability falls under SS. Medicaid is a different thing and gets funding from feds and states.

I kinda get the feeling that a lot of illegals enjoy the benefits American life has to offer, but true allegiance lies with their home country.

Well I'd rather discuss facts than your feelings. Showing pride in your nationality or history doesn't mean you have allegiance elsewhere. We can cancel St Patrick's Day coming up. Should I call the FBI on this Italian restaurant down the street from me? Sick ICE on my local Chipotle?

Again though you're not basing that off of anything except your own feelings. You're saying that is what you would do and then projecting that onto others.

Does “allegiance” matter in a capitalist country though? So long as you pay your taxes and don’t commit any crimes, does it matter what your favorite country is? Hell, the very concept of dual citizenship throws a loop in the idea that all Americans need to place America as the sole country of their allegiance.

Im kinda feeling you. Im allegiance to the planet. Does it really matter what people are really allegiance to? I would bet at least half or more fake it anyways. People at the end of the day are allegiance to themselves and family for the most part. I dunno maybe Im wrong but Im also not trying to say this as a bad thing and criticize people. I consider myself an American Patriot but allegiance means different things to different people as well. /quick rant, lol.

I'm not even seeing a lot of allegiance towards a country from these so called patriots. I see a lot of allegiance towards Trump as they have no problem watching the Constitution get ignored and the country's security sold out.

I am confident but not 100% sure that Bush. Sr. was in on it. I know Reagan didnt even want him as VP but they pressured him to do so. After the attempt Reagan changed. You can find glimpses of him being bullied around big corporate power people, he didnt have as much power as people were led to believe....actually, he didnt have much at all imo.

interesting take on this...my news about the states was very limited during the Reagan years.
