So I’ve been trying to figure out or understand why being shutdown during a cycle is bad and what it feels like. I ran a cycle of DMZ and felt great the whole time. First two weeks of pct I had libido crash and no sex drive but that came back but other than focus and energy in the gym I felt great. Can someone explain why you need to keep a close eye on being shutdown or if it’s even really a bad thing. Looking to run a sarm for 8 weeks to cut and I’ve read a lot about people being shutdown towards the end. I would imagine having the proper pct you should be fine either way? Or.

Info would be much appreciated thanks.

Each person is going to be different when it comes to suppression and shutdown. The reason you want to keep an eye on it is for recovery purposes. Also it can sneak up on you pretty quick.

A side note... the reason you see people complain about it is often times people run way too much ****. 8 weeks of sarms JD fine but it depends on the dose. 10mg of lgd which I'm on now is not bad for results. You can run 20 or 30 and will you get more out of it yeah probably, but you'll also get a ton more sides. So keep the doses mild and you'll have good results with minimal sides. What kind of sarm cycle were you gonna run?

Couple of things to remember....these compounds have the ability to shut you down or suppress. Once that happens there is no guarantee that you will ever get your natural test back. This is why we pct and it sounds like your making the right moves. 2 weeks of blah and getting back is a solid timeline imo. Also, testosterone is a muscle builder. So you add compound 1 to your natty body. Just for example say the first 2 weeks go awesome, then the serious suppression hits. Now you have removed test from the equation and are purely relying on compound 1. How much are you really adding? And how much will you lose waiting for test production to return? This is why it's good to have a test base - once that natural test is removed you've got a synthetic to take its place. No worrying about fighting low test sides and your capacity to build muscle will stay elevated because now you have testosterone + compound 1 working for the duration of your cycle. Hope that makes sense....no disrespect whatsoever, but before you jump back on I would make sure you understand the hpta better. That's one of the basics you should really grasp before playing around with your hormones in such a way.

This^ permanent shutdown is a bitch. I would try to stay natty if I was you and do 100% diet, Crestline, and consistency. Not worth it from my experience

See that’s it. I want to run something where I’m gonna see results but as minimal sides as possible. I was thinking about running two mild compounds. Thought about running epi 2.0 for 8’weeks along with maybe LGD or S4? Not sure yet hearing S4 I’m looking at more sides and I wouldn’t mind still getting gains from LGD. I just want a clean run with that good on feeling. I’m still breaking PRs from my last cycle and it’s been since January that I ran it. Just trying to put everything together I don’t up doses for better results not trying to screw my system up for good.

I appreciate the feedback man! I will definitely do some more reading. I’ve grasped the basics but definitely could always learn more. I know every body is different but is there a reason people shutdown bad? Like is it from trying to run too much crap? I’ve always and probably will only run one compound at a time but I see some pretty wild stacks that people run. DMZ was probably pretty suppressive but I ran at 2 caps a day (20mg a day I think I remember it right) instead of the 3 so I could get a 30 day cycle and ultimately had 0 sides while on cycle. Testes we’re fine and everything. Just curious.

That's a part of it. Some compounds are more suppressive than others. Nothing wrong with small stacks man. I do respect and understand the want to do things small. However remeber that if you were to run say 3 cycles of dmz at the same rate you'll probably see a lot less in terms of gains as the number of cycles. So you start small like that and then add something else small for a small stack. It's a marathon and takes years to achieve what you want. These people that want **** now are the guys who end up messed up later in life.

You've got a good head just keep the research up and learn. As far as s4 and lgd it's an awesome cycle I've run it at 10mg lgd and 50mg s4 with no sides except suppression... no wrecked libido no loss in sex drive. I'm on it at those doses right now with RAD 140. Check my log out and follow along. I'll be reporting the good and the bad best I can.

Problem is you dont know til you know. I've had methyl ds cycles that after a weeks worth of pct I decided I didnt need it. Either very little suppression (my guess) or somehow the boys turned back on insanely fast. Post bloods and all is gtg. But Although I dont have bloods from my 20's to confirm....I'd guess my test is several hundred points below what it should be without these drugs. I've been very lucky. On the other side you'll see guys that post here...something ike a cycle in their early 20's and now 25-30 they get T tested and it's at 150 or something very low. They are now lifetime trt'ers bc of a cycle. Not that this is "common" but it happens....I think your idea of 1 compound and milder stacks is great if you can stick to it year after year....but there is always the possibility, especially as you age, that the next run can have some real consequences.
