Donald Trump running for president

and now a source is telling cbs news that jussie Smollett concocted the attack after he got a racist letter that he thought didn't get enough attention....

cnn is under attack from lefties for hiring jeff sessions former spokeswoman, they claim she is too partisan, lol...

But he’s going to spin it that them settling with him is them essentially admitting to some level of wrongdoing, which it technically is not. But to the masses, the people he’s trying to sell his image to, they’ll buy it and see it as a win.

He can get a job in NYC now where as of the other day companies and business including restaurants will be punished a 1/4 million dollars if they discriminated agaisnt his messy unprofessional hairstyle. But if I grow my hair long or have dreadlocks then its ok to discriminate me cause of the pigment of my skin does not give me human rights.

And he wanted $20 million for a 10 game season from the AAF. That’s more money per game than every NFL QB not named Aaron Rodgers. He was definitely second string NFL talent, maybe even a low-tier starter, but not for the money he seems to have wanted, and not for the bad press and attention he’d bring. His talent didn’t justify his asking price OR his unwanted attention, yet alone BOTH. But some people say that he’s rather be viewed as a martyr now than to try to make a comeback, since a failed comeback would allow people to really say “see, he just wasn’t good enough, that’s all it was.” But there’s that uncertainty that can still be argued, so he can maintain his martyr status.

nike will name a shoe for him, showtime/hbo will join together for a series highlighting his 'bravery'...

and Obama will co-author a book with colin about how awful America is.

democratic presidential hopefuls publicly blast the rich while privately taking their money...I am shocked-not!!!

Not to disparage the fine journalism of Elle, but maybe read the actual guidance letter Invalid Link Removed

It's not giving unfair protection. It's saying you can't have policies that only relate to black people. White people can wear their hair natural or put crap in it. Black people are not always given that option or told their hair is "messy" because they don't want to put products in it.

You're on a roll today with the distractions lol. Not wanting to talk about how Trump is stealing military money for the wall that Mexico was gonna pay for?

That whole document just sounds so divisive it disturbs me. Its free hair for all or dont do it. Why they have to be so racial in this document?

I had long hair in the 90s and also had corn rows. If I was told to cut the crap off its not racism just because Im white????

I dunno I just dont get it.

news alert...now the nigerians who claim were paid to help concoct this 'attack' are telling police Smollett is the one who sent the racist letter to himself.

my wife just told me that Smollett is now classified as a suspect by Chicago police....

Being that your pro-life which I can totally understand, did you know over 6 million children die every year under the age of 15? 2.5 million of them are under the age of 5.....15,000 children under the age of 5 are dropping dead every single day.

Now, more than half the children under the age of 5 died from preventable and treatable and also with simple cost effective interventions. That means on average 7,500 children under the age of 5 died today and it could have been easily prevented.

If you had to choose right now what would you pick....

Billions for wall? or save a million+ children this year under the age of 5?

Oh and that was embarrassing, almost, lol

I dont read Elle...I saw this on NYC local news last night and just posted the first google link I found.

I have a question for you...why do you think the leaders of the world have allowed easily preventable deaths to happen for so many years?

I am really curious to hear your answer.

Black hair may become vulnerable to breakage and loss, and the development of conditions such as trichorrhexis nodosaand traction alopecia. Trichorrhexis nodosa is a medical issue where thickened or weakenedpoints of hair break off easily.29Traction alopecia is defined as gradual hair loss, occurring from applying tension to hair.30In some cases, altering hair from its natural form by way of repeat manipulation or chemically-based styling may also expose individuals to risk of severe skin and scalp damage.

There is so much hypocrisy in this....

your creating a law to protect people from alopecia aka baldness, but yet encourage and protect by law to have cornrows and braids which can cause traction alopecia. BIG RROOOFFFLLLLL!!!!

Because they are primarily sick genocidal war mongering tyrants for the most part and dont give a damn about human life. If they have no problems bombing the living crap out of children slaughtering millions of them over the years, they simply dont give a crap about children other than their own.

Why didnt you answer my question by the way? :)

You don't have to get it because it doesn't pertain to you. You get to already do what you want and this takes not a single thing away from you. This is so employers and schools can't have policies that say no afros or cornrows; they have to be inclusive and say no long hair or something that doesn't blatantly only discriminate against black people. You've already claimed an afro is messy, so what is the other option beside braids or cornrows? Should you or your wife have to decide between shaving your heads or putting chemicals into it to make it the same as another race? They're being so "racial" in the document because these hair types and styles are based on genetics and culture.

No, actually I dont get to do what I want. Ive had my own issues over the years as well as seen other people.

Genetics is one thing, but culture is an entirely different issue. I think the whole "culture" part is irrelevant. Everybody has their own issues when it comes to their cultures and norms and it has nothing to do with skin pigmentation.

I could get the issue with women hair, but men can cut their hair just like everybody else. When I say messy Im talking more about men, in certain positions maybe Im just old fashioned.

Cornrows and braids are a bad idea since balding is a concern within the law.

Having cornrows is a choice that comes with that risk, but it would at least be a choice then. That paragraph is about not being allowed to wear hair natural and instead being forced to braid or use chemicals to treat it, resulting in damage to the hair. A white woman in a professional setting can wear her hair naturally long or braid it. Why shouldn't a black woman have the same right? And if she wants to do something potentially damaging to her hair, she should be allowed to? White women color and curl their hair, putting damaging crap into it all the time.

Ah, thats right, lol

Now, I dont support government stealing the fruits of my labor so they can pick the charity of their choosing, but if they already are Id pick the obvious too.

How is culture irrelevant or separate from skin pigmentation for black people? Your culture is more than likely based on the nationality of your ancestors. Most black people don't know what that is. They're black. They're from Africa. The road usually ends there, so that is their culture.

Because your trying to use as leverage the avoidance of potentially damaging hair practices to favor justifying the law and simultaneously encouraging potentially damaging hair practices, its hard for me to take this seriously.

Now if your saying a white women can braid her hair and a black women cannot under the same workplace the first thing Im calling out is racist scumbag management. Ive seen this happen in my job once, stuck up for it and got fired over it.

I think my own personal biased is really geared towards men....not that this is my obsession but I dont think its a big deal if an employer such as the NY Yankees commands clean short haircut as part of their marketing and presentation or any other business.

Now I have other thoughts of popping out of my head....over the years Ive seen tons of women of ALL races facing significant socio-economic pressure to put chemicals in their hair so they can be socially acceptable. They all have the same problems, its not really a race thing, its a women thing. If a white women went to get a job that was a reputable position of leadership and she showed up with hair in her natural state and her hair was naturally messy she would probably also be discriminated for not looking professional.

Everyone is different. No black person represents the culture of all the others. Judge people when you get to know them.

Im Sicilian and truthfully dont give a damn. I am me and thats that, I dont want to be judged by where my family came from and try to treat others the same way I want to be treated. Thats why I make statements like that.

Oh, I hope I dont sound too intense here, this is casual productive discussion. Im reading my posts and I sound too damn serious I think, lol.

You're good. Text is always hard because there's no tone. And it's easy to sound serious because it's a serious issue. But I'm not trying to change your mind; just giving another point of view.

This is getting intense in my brain now with the "natural" look...now thinking about when I worked at the health food store these vegan girls would be there with hairy legs and armpits...I mean, ok sometimes discrimination against natural needs to be implemented, and then comes the smell. Lol true story.

I can fully back women doing what they want with their hair, nobody should be the one to tell them to cut it short if it grows
a certain way and I can understand the "black" hair to a certain point as long as its addressing a cosmetic/genetic issue which can also happen in all races. I want womens hair rights for all, but certain jobs should be allowed to draw the line. As far as men goes, well Im not as sensitive to them, lol.

Honestly, if we stopped playing world police we could pull a lot of military money to do things in our own country lol. Not that the wall is something we need or even should have, but the idea of not playing world police and using some of that insane amount of money on America isn’t terrible.

I don't disagree, but he's somebody that ran a campaign on building a stronger military and is currently trying to start a WMD-type battle with Iran.

Has any politician in history actually kept their campaign promises lol? Not justifying it, but it’s just more of the same really IMO. Two sides of the same coin unfortunately.

That is justifying it. That's probably the most common responses for justifying it even though Trump also ran as an alternative to all the other politicians. I'm pointing out Trump's hypocrisy. If you're trying to convince me that his actions shouldn't be surprising, you're too late lol.

Edit: I see you mean hypocrite as in he claimed he’d be different then other politicians but isn’t. That’s fair enough.

I’m not sure I ever knew a single politition who didn’t campaign on being different, usually better.

back to the subject of HAIR....2 great songs by the 5th dimension comes to mind...aquarius and let the sunshine in.

in all honesty though I like Godspell's 'day by day' best....oh dear lord three things I pray!!!

Well ax1 called it. Trump keeping at least some troops in Syria for "peacekeeping"

Even if he took out every one of the 400 out next week, what they dont talk about is all the private contractors there which Id be shocked if there already isnt far more than 400 doing all the dirty work for the US government outside of our military's protocols. There there is CIA who will continue (probably with the private contractors) continue to arm, train and finance the regional recruits. The way I see it, if we arm them, then they are our troops. I guess you can say ISIS and Al-Ciada are another branches of our own military.

Not anymore. Once they stop listening to you they’re no longer your troops. Your creation maybe, but not your troops anymore.

Depends on what you believe. Personally I feel this "they stopped listening to us" is a part of the guerilla warfare tactics on a couple of fronts. Deceive the American public and and successfully destabilize the region for the benefit of the greater agenda. Its all over the place, we are trying to overthrow the President of Syria who is trying to overthrow ISIS but we are preventing him backed by Russia from doing so, and then we openly support arming the people who stopped listening to us and attacked us on 9-11 supposedly this "Al-Ciaeda group, but we are only arming and training the "moderate" ones who dont want to destroy the USA and terrorize its citizens quite as much as the ones labeled "extreme."

I dont buy the official story, not from a government who spends trillions on the war on drugs but openly grown opium and assists in exporting it. not at all, never ever. No way, dont try it, lol.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the most likely one. Maybe the US was just inept and armed people that they came to regret later. Who knows.

Regardless, a policy of strict non-interventionism/non-foreign entanglements and focusing primarily on KEEPING America great rather than the Military Industrial Complex would prevent all of this in the first place. At that point I can comfortably take foreign tin foil hat off and only wear my other one for domestic purposes just like our founding fathers intended me to do :)

Of course. I’ve said plenty of times that we shouldn’t be playing world police, and shouldn’t act surprised when counties dislike us for it, and then give them money for them to still not like us. Especially when we’re in so much debt; charity only makes sense when you have your own affairs in some level of order.
