Prep/Lead Up to my first cycle

Apologize for the long post. Forgive me this first time... (Skip to the bold if long posts annoy you)

Background: I’m a fairly athletic guy and experienced lifter. I was a fat ass up through HS, but decided to stop being an embarrassment. 18 months of work and diet later, I dropped just under 100lbs. (268lbs to 171lbs). Fast forward 18 years and, for the most part, I’ve stayed in shape. I haven’t gone more than a month in the last 18 years without having some sort of regular “workout” program. With that said, I’ve only recently fallen in love with trying to move heavy ****. Unfortunately, I suck at it, but it is not for lack of effort. I lift 5-6 days per week and track macros.

Stats:
37 yrs old
6ft, 178lbs
Waist 33.5
Chest 41”
Arms 15”
Quad/thigh 26.5”
Neck 16”


Lifts:
Bench 220
DL 320
Squat 285

Concerns:
- I’m deployed and the food sucks here, but I have plenty of chicken, tuna and salmon packets. I also have plenty of quality protein powder.

- Being a former fat boy, it is challenging for me to see the scale go up. It ****s with my mind. It also results in me not eating enough sometimes. I’m not going to start a cycle until I’m confident this is in check.

- My hairline continues to betray me. It is going to go, but I want to do what I can to not expedite it.

- I don’t have a lot of excess fat, but I do have a lot of excess skin (my daily penance for being a lazy fat-body for 18 yrs) My stomach looks like the jowels of an albino bloodhound. I don’t want to compound the mess that is my torso with gyno.

As you can see, a fairly thin guy that is weak as ****. I’ve never used anything other than creatine mono, protein, BCAAs and multi-vitamins. I’m a newly registered member here, but I’ve lurked for a while and I’ve really enjoyed reading the threads. Between here, a few other sites and NCBI, I’ve spent countless hours reading articles, threads, blogs, etc. I’ve probably read more than a 100 threads on this forum alone and learned some valuable info, e.g. the importance of a legit PCT instead of an OTC, blood work, cycle support, SARMs, AI, etc. Seriously, there are some guys on here that have obviously accumulated decades of knowledge. Still, I feel like I’m just scratching the surface.

With all that said, I’m getting close to being ready to start my first cycle. I want to continue researching, but now I’d like to do some guided analysis with the help of the SMEs on here. Does anyone have a favorite thread? What are the must-reads for beginners?

I’ll continue researching and fine tuning my diet and workouts, but in the meantime I’d like to get some input on beginner cycles for easing into it. I’ve looked at SARMS cycle logs, DMZ cycles logs, Androvar+Mandro the Giant, etc. What are your recommendations?

I’m short on time right now but so many similarities to me my man. Check out my logs in the cycle logs section, my first was 1/4 andro plus epiandro. Just finished my first pin cycle. I’m 36 and also have the loose skin thing going on as well. Also a fear of seeing the scales go up. I feel your pain there.

Great stuff in your cycle log, Whisky. Even got a few good laughs. I got that you had just finished a cut when you started. Regardless, those are some impressive increases from pre to post cycle. You put in some legit work and your nutrition was consistently on point. Getting 4K good calories would be tough for me here.

I’m definitely not ready for a stick cycle, though.
 
So, I’ve read several posts/articles/blogs about stacking SARMS and it appears there are 3 camps:

1) Stacking SARMS is a great idea, but keep it simple with 2 or maybe 3 compounds only, especially for beginners.
Example: 20 LGD 4033 + 30 Osta

2) Stacking is great, so stack to your heart’s delight with SARMs and SARMs-like compounds.
Example: MK 677 + Cardarine + SR 9009 + LGD 4033.

3) I’ve also come across a few sources that opine the opposite based on a rationale that inefficiency results from multiple molecules competing for the same androgenic receptor cells (oversimplifying for brevity sake).

The latter camp definitely seems to be in the minority and I’m finding myself leaning toward the first position.

I’m still researching, but I’d love to see some recommendations for a beginner SARM stack cycle with on cycle support and PCT.

Thanks bro, that was my first pin cycle but my first actual cycle was a 1/4/epiandro stack for 8 weeks. I personally think that’s a solid starter cycle although to run it at the right doses is expensive (I logged that as well). It’s very low sides, the 1-Andro gives good strength gains and I leaned out on that stack.

Personally I’m not a fan of sarms, they are largely untested over any sustained period of time. Many on AM have had good results though. Just not the way I personally will go.

I’ve also run a TD trest and epistane cycle. Epistane is a relatively low side oral that will give solid strength gains. TD trest is a nice one to pair with it but trest can be tough to manage for some. Without question you need legit ai on hand for that.

Halo is often mentioned as a solid first cycle, might be one to look at

As far as sarms and other research chems go I’ve run s4, s23, rad140, Osta, LGD, sr9009, cardarine, mk677

I would recommend taking one at a time. For me they all create different effects. For instance I love s4/s23 but they both make me really depressed when I come off, but RAD doesn’t do that. So take one at a time and feel them out. Just my .02
 
I hate to be that guy but lift heavy **** and eat protein. If you really want to do a cycle no one can stop you . I would suggest a test only cycle I would say 500mg test a week for 12 to 16 weeks . You will.need.to.run an AI I am.sure you read up.on that. I wouldnt waste my time with modern prohormones unless you can find older banned ones that carry the same penalty as real testosterone. The ones that are still.some.what legal msten dmz and epi are good .but you will need cycle support tudca and all kinds of ****.
 
Mk677 is great but Makes you lethargic for a few weeks . It's good to stack with test take it at night and try not to eat everything .

Having time to look back, and with the experience of running a different cycle, what would you change about your first cycle?

Your initial dosing was 340/340/700/12.5, but you bumped your doses to 510/510/1000/12.5. Do you wish that you would have started at the higher doses or somewhere between? Were you happy with you selection of on cycle support, accessory supplements and pct?

agreed.

testosterone is extremely predictable, whereas a lot of guys have weird side effects from SARMs, PH's, etc.

Honestly, taking into account that at that time I definitely wasnt pinning (if I’d been able to then yeah I’d run a test based cycle first), I think it was the ideal first cycle.

In my mind I do think that any cycle you have to get the most out of it. There’s an inherent risk to doing this (messing with hormones) so in my mind you have to get bang for your buck.

That cycle was a great way to check I had the discipline to do things right before I moved up to stronger compounds. That said, the gains were solid of that Andro cycle. I loved it.
 
Has anyone ordered from Tiger Fitness? I did a search and didn’t see much in the anabolic forum. They have Chaos and Pain Chemical 1 and Chemical 4. Also did a search on this products and the comments in the forum seem pretty positive.
