Whether it works or not takes time. It's not an instant thing. I don't think most people know what NAFTA even was or what USMCA now is. The Sunset clause is interesting to me and I think a great idea. Hopefully for US farmers and consumers this works.

I prefer government not be in "business" and simply allowing people of the country strike their own deals and cutting all the lobby out in between. Government striking trade deals is just fascism. Best deal = no deal.

But anyways, is this deal for full public viewing yet? People shouldn't celebrate until we have full disclosure, I always welcome better deals if I put my personal politics to the side.

Well, thats good, we want full disclosure off the bat but holy krap!!!! I was expecting a good deal to be a simple page two....this looks like just another monster bureaucratic nightmare ! Anyways government legislation is passed thats more than a page or two that scares the crap out of me.

Who does Dump think he is making trade deals like this abusing his executive powers? Where does this authority come from? He is just another big government dictator like Obama. And why isnt the abuse of executive powers even an issue?

Contracts are long so that lawyers feel useful. My current lease isn't much shorter than this thing.

Abuse of executive power is an issue, but the typical response is well Obama did it too as if one ******* exploiting a loophole makes it ok for the next ******* to do it.

True. I know my son went to all the football and baseball parties and had a few girl friends in high school and saved himself for marriage. (He told me he had plenty of chances) I was proud of him. now when he got married he got his wife pregnant in 2 weeks! lol
I know it's rare these days but not so rare back in the 70's and 80's I know a lot of guys that were virgins in college.

He swore he was a virgin....as far as that goes thats not exactly technically a lie even if he is guilty with Ford since there is no accusation he had sexual intercourse with her, and being a sexual predator does not require intercourse.

there is a significant list of girls[women now] who knew him in high school and college who say he is a decent guy.....could he be fooling them? I guess its possible.

None of that really matters though, none of 99.9% of what took place in his life matters, its not evidence of what took place either way. All that matters is the .01% that took place that night and Id say chances are all the girls on the list were not in that room that day (if that even happened.)

He had a calendar and claims he wasnt there, he was at some camp if I remember correctly (I watched it live.) I cant figure out what the big deal is to prove where he was.

Personally, I dont trust that lady, I read her as a phony and I think she is a plant.

Anyone accusing him of being guilty until proven innocent is morally wrong to me. I do know that judge is guilty of being a big government unconstitutional goblin and does not deserve the Supreme Court seat along with having his current powers stripped for violating his oath of office on multiple occasions. This stuff is all a distraction.

She's a research psychologist with a doctorate. She's the ninth author on the paper which means she had little to do with it. The main headline of this article that you linked refers to a single citation that they used in their own paper not what is actually in her paper. This is grasping and quite retarded.

See, this is the dishonest twisting of what the issue is. You deflect the accusations by saying it's not a big deal to drink in high school and Obama did it too. The issue is lying about it right now as an adult. Lying is the issue, not the drinking. And if he is lying about the extent of his drinking, it opens up the question of why should we then believe what he says happened or didn't happen while drinking.

Many feel that the credibility of the accusers is just as important since in a court, it's the accuser's responsibility to provide evidence to support their allegation. When the witnesses Ford named dispute and can't corroborate her claims, and she changes her story numerous times, questioning her claims is now part of the process. But no one is allowed to question her credibility. Never mid adding all of the political circus on how the Democrats have handled it all.

  • This is the US Senate and not a civil or criminal court proceeding.
  • Advise and consent. Does the senate consent to his appointment?
  • “What is the standard” to consent is the question.
That standard comes from society by way of the elected representatives...
If they choose contrary to the standard at which society deems, they will not be reelected.

Both the accuser and the accused need to be credible and honest. Saying that no one is allowed to question her credibility is a complete lie. The President of the country she is a citizen of has repeatedly questioned her credibility. You've repeatedly questioned it. There is a difference between questioning and ignoring without investigating. The Democrats mishandled the **** out of this and have made Ford look horrible. The witnesses that Ford has named haven't disputed her claim (another lie by you and Kavanaugh). Saying that they don't recall a party doesn't mean the party didn't happen or the assault didn't happen, but it also doesn't mean that the assault did happen.

I think investigating the alleged assault is important, but if there isn't evidence, then move on. For me personally it's the lying now about other issues that sends up a red flag. That and his obsession with the Clintons that goes back decades. All of the sitting justices have bias and are liberal, conservative, whatever, but none are openly against an entire political party. Kavanaugh is. I think the Republicans can do better and this idea that the seat could somehow stay open until 2020 is ridiculous.

Then since it is the Senate, and not a court, if Kavanaugh has no expectations of any due process, then neither does she. She's not entitled to any investigations if she's not willing to go to the police or the DA in Maryland, since there's no statute of limitations.

He said he doesn't remember (and probably wants nothing to do with this mess he's gotten dragged into). You're also ignoring the part where Ford testified that she didn't expect that Smyth would remember. "In her testimony, Dr. Blasey, who also goes by her married name, Ford, said that she didn’t expect that Mr. Smyth and Ms. Keyser would remember the evening since nothing remarkable happened to them there. But, she said, 'Mr. Judge is a different story. I would expect that he would remember that this happened'."

Do you have a quote that has Smyth stating there was a party and he wasn't there?

Anita Hill. The same players in the Senate ordered an FBI investigation. Yes, precedent dictates she does deserve a full investigation. You can't quantify "If she is not willing." Let's just stick with the facts, instead of equivocating and irrational relationships between unrelated factors.

Nixon had two Supreme court justices forced to be redacted for interesting reasons. Look that up, as it's far more relevant if you must dig up the past. Make it valid.
