I’m not talking about harming the face via scars, I’m talking about the reconstruction itself looking slightly off in a way that enters the uncanny valley for some people.
Why not just get in shape, give it a year at least of consistency, get a GOOD haircut, keep your facial hair, if you have any, neat (maybe grow a beard if you don’t like your jawline), whiten/straighten your teeth if need be, and dress well, if not super expensively. See how that works, and if it doesn’t, only then even begin to consider surgery and steroids. Sound good? It’ll do wonders for you even just what I just explained.
